It felt less about perfection and more about understanding the poses and transitions. Coming from my usual studio, the teaching style felt more formal. We were encouraged not to take water breaks out of respect for others' practice, which was challenging in the 108° heat but also pushed me to stay present and disciplined. The instructor was knowledgeable, calm, and easy to follow, guiding transitions clearly throughout. The space was clean and spacious, with dressing rooms, bathrooms, and secure cubbies. I also appreciated that they lock the doors during class. Nice touch that they provided a yoga towel for my mat plus two additional towels after check-in. Overall, a grounding experience that deepened my appreciation for the practice.

The studio is clean but to me that's not enough. There should be energy and spirit and togetherness and in my opinion, the energy here detracts from the physical benefit of the practice.

I do end up taking phone and keys/wallet inside studio but would feel comfortable if cubbies were in studio to leave there. Instructor lead a great class and I felt so relaxed after. It was my first time ever doing it and it was awesome! First, the studio is large and well-maintained. They have both Gyrotonic equipment and Pilates equipment. I'm a PIlates instructor and quickly noticed how fantastic the set up was. I'd definitely recommend doing Pilates here. I was with Domini on the Gyrotonic side. There are quite a few machines and a lot of space to workout. Her instruction was top notch. She is a Master Trainer, extremely smart but she also explains things so that even a beginner could understand. It is very different than Pilates. All levels of fitness can do this and all ages, too. The instructors absolutely have their soul is in it. I've been pushed harder in these classes in an utterly respectful way than I ever have at my franchised barre studio. There are 3 studios. The Monterey studio is sun drenched (something out of a catalogue) and the beautiful windows open so you can feel a light breeze on your face during your practice. The Carmel studio is intimate and perfect for the Barre After Dark class (candlelit slow and intentional). Arianne really cares about your experience in a way that just isn't prevalent in fitness. She's authentic. Other students are helpful and excited to be there. Carmel Barre will be the highlight of your week.

The ambiance was so soothing, with gentle lighting and calming music that set the perfect mood for relaxation. Little touches like their logo on their hangers are *chef's kiss* There are 2 treatment rooms, and a open area which allows for a small class for yoga and other movement-based arts. Better yet, Ben told me he did most of the buildout of the space by himself! But what truly made this massage exceptional was Ben's present and relaxing touch. Every stroke and knead seemed to melt away my stress and tension. Ben's skillful hands seemed to know exactly where to focus, expertly nurturing. I left the session feeling rejuvenated and completely at peace. The combination of the serene environment and Ben's touch created an experience that I can't wait to repeat.
