I am truly thankful for WRRC and all the crew at the house. Not only did their methods help cure me of the obsession, but they gave me insight into my life and tools to use that has allowed me to thrive without the need of Alcohol. My wife and kids are also very grateful to everyone at WRRC who started me on this new journey. For anyone struggling with addiction, I'd highly recommend checking in. I loved that their methods are holistic, and not necessarily pushing any one solution to recovery, but teaching numerous principles. I believe most, if not all the counselors and people in the house have been down the road, so have real life experiences of recovery and really seem to want to share the gift. If you are truly ready to stop the madness caused by addiction and willing to listen, learn and be open for change in your life, this place is waiting to help get you on the path to recovery. The house is situated in a beautiful area with wonderful views and wildlife. The pool, gym, game room, food options, weekly excursions and phone options, which help with family involvement are certainly a nice bonus as well. I'm currently over 15 months sober and continue to use the skills I learned in "The House". I'll be forever grateful for the caring people of this facility, and look forward to the weekly alumni meetings and occasional BBQ's back at the house. They saved my life. Enjoy every moment....

You (they) are talented, kind, smart, respected, and capable, but you (they) can't make it without help. There is no shame, no stigma, and no better place to reclaim your (their) life than WRRC. The location is convenient (close enough but worlds away), the accommodations and offerings exceptional, surrounded by beautiful trees, in the nearby mountains with a pool and hot tub. Exercise, yoga, optional massages and trips off site made this an incredible experience, but the people of WRRC make your freedom possible. I made plans months out (though their turnaround based on need is remarkable), and the staff were exceptionally accommodating, fielding questions via phone, text and email. I wanted to visit, and had a great time meeting both the staff, as well as clients. I had a chance to chat with a client with no supervision - they let me know that they had extended their stay by 2 months! I thought this amazing, but having spent a month, I truly understand. Lindsay was the first person I spoke with. She has many hats, all worn well, with expertise running impactful groups (super supportive) and WRRC. I never felt pressured before I decided on WRRC, and she was always available for questions. A caring, sincere, resourceful and super cool human (I will repeat this and give an overall appraisal at the end of the review)! Nikki was my case manager, and was great - vibrant, kind and informative. She juggled needs effectively, making appointments and taking care of my support network. A super cool, effervescent human! Jay facilitated groups in a refreshingly direct and calm way, holding us accountable while delivering the tailored curriculum. Exceptionally caring, a paladin of recovery, a super cool human! Lesley met my health-conscious food needs deliciously...her Green Tahini needs to be on salads globally. I had to pinch myself to remember why I was at the Retreat with meals this delicious! With great warmth and kind conversations, a super cool human! Kritika led great and insightful groups, shared great resources, connections, conversations as well as made some tasty food too! Kind, big hearted and committed to your recovery, a super cool human! Dave leads groups as well as outings. Nothing can convey the profound capacity of Dave, the Lao Tzu of WRRC, whose wisdom, caring and experience manifests in surprising, joyful and hysterical ways. A super cool, super real human! Suzie is an exceptionally kind, resourceful and generous member of the WRRC, sharing insights, laughs and wisdom throughout the month. Her experiences offered unique perspectives on the transformation of recovery, her suggestions golden, a super cool human! Gerry was fantastically up on everything, caring, efficient and cheerfully supporting us in our recovery. Generous, dedicated, warm and kind, a super cool human being! Robin was a great asset to recovery, with excellent fitness routines, deep knowledge regarding the overlap between kinesiology and recovery. Wise, talented and a great guide to the nearby parks, she brings another critical facet to the recovery. A super cool human! Lisa conducted our yoga sessions, this is an area where I lack expertise, but she provided her own unique, touching and deeply kind insights, a super cool human! Jessica facilitated our art therapy sessions, and they were creative and offered lasting insights to address continued sobriety. Caring, tuned in and creative, a super cool human! Chris is my definition of a therapist, someone qualified by training, but naturally talented through experience and being a whole human being. We worked in several different modes, solo (insightful and impactful), with my kids (healing and owning) and my girlfriend (transformational and future focused), as well as in the family groups, all the while using honesty, care, humor and deep compassion to bring out the best of a wide range of clients, family and ages. Understanding the needs of such a wide range of folks requires wisdom to meet suffering where it is, and Chris applied just that, being a great guide toward a life of recovery and super cool human! The month passed quickly, and I could go on paragraph after paragraph regarding the deep conversations, laughs in comradery, recognition of past suffering, and the blue horizon of a sober future with each of the aforementioned WRRC guides. But in that is the point - they are committed to your recovery, trained in effective tools, human in their recognition, honest in their embrace of the complexities of it all, and compassionately fully engaged in your better future. I know it might be hard to acknowledge, but you or your loved ones deserve this level of care. There is no shame, no stigma, you (or your loved ones) are human. Nothing is more important, and WRRC delivers. I cannot recommend WRRC highly enough. Dan says "Check it out"!

I cannot understand why anyone would give Dr.Gang Li a one star…read more Dr. Li has been my pain Doctor for 15 years. Dr. Li is a board certified anesthesiologist, he understands pain. He chose to be part of this clinic to have more time with his family. I started seeing him because of fibromyalgia and I have continued through spinal surgery, post and continued upcoming surgeries to this present date. He is so personable and kind, he takes an interest in my adult children and now grandchildren. Once I came in because I had severe nerve pain in my elbows , like the pain of hitting your crazy bone , only it would not stop. I asked him if he ever witnessed someone trying to cut off their arm from this pain, he responded yes I have. He then gave me cortisone injections ( he is excellent) and that pain went away instantly. Don't get me wrong he follows the guidelines on prescriptions as far as the current situation with Vicodin. He may not agree to some of the aspects associated with the decree. I have the utmost respect and admiration for him and his staff. Do not be discouraged, if you do not get a quick call back. I have flown from Minnesota just to get on his schedule! Now that I am in San Bruno, I have my daughter go to his office , who lives in Campbell to make my next appointment, if for some reason I have not made a follow-up. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A FOLLOW-UP APP I am an ex-ballet dancer, equestrian and 10k runner. I believe many people go to Comprehensive Sports and Medicine so they can continue their physical endeavors. Dr. Massih was dismissive, rude, and disrespectful towards my mother's request about disability and was insistent on my mother being employed and working through her major lumbar and cervical issues (diagnosed spinal stenosis, degenerative discs, nerve pain, & more) even though my mother hasn't been able to physically work for over a year. Does this doctor want people to purposefully worsen their physical conditions so she can repeatedly inject them and prescribe them with pain medication? Not only that, but Dr. Massih was impatient and rushed her appointment. How can you get to understand your patient's issues if you don't give them the time to explain their ailments? And even with the limited time she gave my mother, she would talk over her and ignore her concerns. She even angrily opened up the appointment by asking my mother "why [she] was even here." And when my mother asked Dr. Massih to explain the side effects of a certain procedure, Dr. Massih insisted that she would only tell her once they were cleared to do the procedure. So, basically, she wanted to pressure my mother into making an appointment for the procedure first before explaining anything. Is this a doctor who cares, or a doctor who simply wants money? I think it's clear what her aim is. Regardless of whether or not Dr. Massih is a good doctor, our first impressions of her are highly negative. I'll never be able to trust someone so rude, dismissive, and uncooperative, and I strongly suggest others to avoid this doctor.

I was able to create an acct, upload some information and have the call with the doctor within 10 min. So happy I didn't have to wait all day at Urgent Care or have to wait until Monday. Dr. N uses only research proven techniques, is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and really does employ an INTEGRATIVE technique that doesn't just focus on medication...while at the same time understanding that medication often does play an important role in the holistic treatment of mental health challenges. Their office also accepts medical insurance which is not always common in seeking this type (and quality) of care. He has been my doctor for over two years and has helped me reach stability I had previously believed impossible, which is huge considering he was my first outpatient doctor after completing two consecutive PHP programs. Please reach out to the office if you are struggling!! You don't have to keep suffering. I am confident Dr. N and the team can help you reach your wellness goals as they did for me.

Dr. Nangia was my psychiatrist for over ten…read moreyears, and in earlier years I had very positive experiences with both medication management and TMS treatment at San Jose Integrative Wellness Center. Sadly, my most recent round of TMS was a completely different experience and ultimately led me to leave the practice. Before starting this round, I discussed being treated for a different condition than in prior years, and Dr. Nangia agreed to it. However, at my first appointment he seemed to forget that discussion and initially prepared to treat me for the other condition. I had to remind him of our prior conversation, which immediately made me concerned about communication and quality of care. As treatment continued, I had repeated issues with responsiveness and follow-through. For my remapping appointment, I was set up in the chair only to learn that Dr. Nangia was not in the office and I would need to return the next day. I was constantly reminded of the fact that they charge for missed appointments but when he didn't show up to my appointment, I didn't even get an apology. It's frustrating that they don't seem to hold themselves to the same standards expected of patients. When I raised concerns about treatment progress, there were many delays in getting responses for adjustment requests. Everyday it was a new medical assistant who would treat me, so I had to explain the situation repeatedly. Each day they told me they were waiting to hear back from him thru the patient portal and changes often took several days despite the limited number of insurance approved sessions I had left. What frustrated me most was not feeling heard during important discussions about my care. When I questioned the treatment plan, I did not feel my concerns were fully addressed. In fact, at one point I felt intimidated by the way Dr. Nangia spoke to me and I felt pressured to agree to a plan I had concerns with. I understand that ultimately the physician has final say on medical decisions, but I also believe patients should feel empowered, respected, and comfortable with the treatment plan. I do not blame the medical assistants. Everyone I interacted with was intelligent, polite and professional. My concerns are primarily about communication, responsiveness, and what felt like a significant decline in the personalized care the practice once provided. When treatment concluded, I discussed with Dr. Nangia some of my frustrations with the delays and breakdowns that occurred. He thanked me for the feedback but offered no resolution, so I asked to be referred elsewhere. Less than an hour later, I get a message in their patient portal stating that he is no longer my provider, along with some referrals. Upon examination, some of the referrals didn't appear to be a good match for my treatment needs and history. I was hoping they could provide some help with the transition process but I had to figure it out myself. I'm still grateful for the help Dr. Nangia gave me during difficult periods earlier in my life, which makes this experience especially disappointing. After ten years as a patient, I no longer felt confident continuing my care there. I recently finished TMS treatment successfully with another provider, so leaving this practice was the correct decision for me.

People are treated badly, like they're intruding because they're sick, or afraid or both. Carol, his primary nurse, is a vicious, angry, contemptuous b-word, who obviously hates her job, and probably humanity as well. Linda is fine, pleasant even, but cannot compensate for the pervasive ugliness. As a professional person, I pay attention to my surroundings. This office is a pigsty. It is filthy, messy, chaotic, and has obviously never been cleaned. Behind the glass in the reception area, you're treated to a view of thousands of files, covered with dust, stacked up nearly to the ceiling, at crazy angles without any seeming order. Pictures are from the seventies, faded and outdated. I found a magazine from 1991. WTF??? How does a state of the art doctor conduct a professional practice like that? I was kept waiting for two and a half hours. I was very ill with a sinus infection. Temp, congestion, and the infection dropping into my lungs. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what the heck was going on. I am not an antibiotic junkie--I've taken them precisely twice in the last five years. Antibiotics were clearly indicated. Instead of prescribing them, Callaway sent me to have a chest and sinus x-ray. He didn't even see me. Carol just gave me the paperwork and sent me away. I then waited for another two hours to have the x-rays done. Guess what? I needed antibiotics. Callaway sent the prescription to my pharmacy without speaking to me--had LInda leave a message on my voicemail. I lost an entire day at work for something that should have taken ten minutes to accomplish. While I waited, I heard Carol yelling at a patient in the most mean and derogatory way. I also heard her angry conversation with Callaway, who was apparently furious that this patient had the temerity to show up sick without an appointment. Whatever magic Callaway may have once possessed, his white coat has now absorbed fully. There is nothing for you here. Find someone who cares.
