I'm not an artist by any means, but I enjoy painting. I'm not too great at it on my own, but thankfully these kits were easy to use and came with all of the colors you need. Not to mention, there are so many different designs to choose from! I picked out a sunflower and my fiance got the American flag mason jar. It made us feel so productive, and now we have a couple cute things to hang on our door! Normally they do painting sessions, which I would love to check out someday. There are about 25 vendors selling hand made crafts along with 1 food vendor and a popcorn vendor. Plenty of seating out by the water fountain to enjoy your food or just relax. For the kids they offer FREE pumpkin painting and it looks like the kids pumpkins are free as well. Speaking of FREE, they even have Free coffee, hot chocolate and hot apple cider. And it's hitting the spot on a cool Fall day. The bathrooms here at the pavilion are top notch. And they are super clean and well stocked with paper also! With plenty of parking and the quality of items offered this is a must attend event that I'll be looking forward to attending next year. I'll be factual that each postcard , the standard 4" x 6" size, cost $1. There is no discount for larger purchases and to be frank I never questioned it in the past . I would just pick out a dozen cards and pay the price. I roamed the store for cute KY items I could enclose in some greeting cards and decided everything was a little over priced or didn't suit my fancy. I left thinking I would recommend this store to out of town guests that wanted Kentucky memorabilia. After leaving Taste of Kentucky I went next door to the Hallmark Store to pick up some greeting cards. Upon check out to buy my chosen cards I asked if they had any postcards. They accommodated me immediately by bringing a stack to the front counter. There were many of the same postcards but a few different choices. Since I was standing at the cash register I asked how much their postcards were. Most were 30 cents and the highest price one was 79 cents. I stocked up with an additional 18 cards. Sorry Taste of Kentucky you have lost me and my recommendation to others as the place to buy postcards. Even when I'm at a tourist location on the Atlantic coast beaches or in San Francisco, CA postcards standardly are far less expensive than Taste of Kentucky prices. You need to rethink your price or lose customers.

There were some seriously good costumes! It was really crowded, and there were definitely some screaming kids who were scared, which honestly just made the whole experience even more entertaining. They advertised having food trucks, but I honestly didn't see any. There was one possible food truck right at the entrance, but I wouldn't go expecting a whole variety of food trucks to choose from. Angela has always been so helpful, patiently answering all of my questions and offering expertise on items/products I was unfamiliar with. They have a classroom in the back of the building and hold creative classes for various skill levels. I cannot wait to be able to attend one, especially if they offer one for sublimation! This is a Hallmark Greeting Store in The Village Plaza on Shelbyville Rd in Middletown, KY. I…read morehadn't been to a Hallmark Store in years but decided it was a good afternoon to browse for a variety of cards. Upon entering I was greeted by two friendly employees that offered to help me. I indicated I was just browsing and they continued on with their work and left me to roam the store on my own. I glanced at the card displays that were closest to the front of the store and found they were all seasonal. There was a large selection of both Halloween and Thanksgiving cards. On a separate display there were current specific categories such as Bosses Day and a couple of occasions I wasn't familiar with. There were many display tables throughout the store with a variety of themed merchandise such as Peanuts, and others. I wandered past all the merchandise displays to the back of the store where there were numerous racks of cards. After choosing the greeting cards that I decided to purchase I went to the check out counter. On the spur of the moment when the gracious employee asked if I found everything I asked if they had postcards. She nicely instructed me to wait there and she would get them. She brought me a stack of assorted postcards. After asking the price I found they were half the price as I had just paid next door at Taste of Kentucky. I sorted through them and ended up buying eighteen cards. Then when ringing out my order the employee counted out ten stickers for the back of my greeting cards that I was purchasing. You won't get this kind of service when buying cards at Walmart or the grocery store. My only drawback is this store is not very convenient for me to shop at. There is however a large parking lot with plenty of parking options. I will be back when in the Middletown area.

I went in by myself as I was dying of curiosity, and there was a large party and a couple of small groups. I selected my scents - and selected too many, so got some help winnowing down. One of the staff walked me through the candle making process and they even give you fun glitter to put in it, so it looks like a little glitter mountain is burning! The essential oil scents are widely varied and they don't just have candles- you can make anything from dryer balls to body spray. I had an extra candle made for a friend, and they will keep my scent combo for a time, so I can always return to have more made! You've got to go back in to pick up the candle the following day, but it is worth it.

This time we learned that you can also make your own lotion and hand soap. I'm not sure how we missed that the first time. We both made a couple hand soaps this time. The service was superb even though they were very busy. The only negative thing I would say this time is that we waited for our candles to cool while talking on their couches. Typically, it should be 1 hour. After 1 &1/2 hours, we asked about our candles and they already had them ready and stored away in the closet. They said they didn't know we were there.
