Red Tree is a Louisville favorite - and although what's sourced for them to sell isn't local, we love browsing the shelves all the same. There's so much to see and the spaces are tight, including the upstairs rooms. (Parents with strollers or exploring toddlers, this was one of my least favorite spots to take mine when my boys were younger. You've been warned.) You're going to find a bunch of things you don't need yet want plus gifts for friends and family. The store is full of home decor, jewelry, artwork, candles, and even more home decor. During the holiday season they are known for their ornaments which they dangle from the ceiling. I've bought several items, including furniture, from the Red Tree and I love it all. Prices can be a bit of a splurge but the unique vibe makes up for it. Always friendly service. Find them primarily at the front counter downstairs. This is one of my favorite shops in Louisville and I always stop in when I'm in town. I bought a necklace there a few months ago and the chain broke after I got home. It was passed the return window and I live over 2,000 miles away, so I thought I was out of luck. But no. I called the store and they shipped me a new chain within a week! Red tee furniture is a massive multi floored furniture and home decor shop located in the popular and quirky Nulu neighborhood of Louisville Kentucky. Very thug about this shop is artistic and stands out. From the Nulu wildflowers mural by local artist Liz richter on the side exterior of the building, to the well placed and lovely decorated interior and finally to a wonderful alley that has not only more goods to shop for but a magical looking umbrella alley. The shop itself has a wide variety and is very cluttered but in an organized way. They have mainly home goods and furniture. Pricing is all over the place as they have lots of goods and lots of high end merchandise. Overall very cool store to shop at or just stop in and browse and pose for a few awesome photos ops. You could legit take family pictures or senior pictures for a school here. Great shop and a perfect placement for the Nulu neighborhood. read more

Walking in, you expect Red Tree to be a small boutique store, until you realize that there are multiple rooms, outdoor and upstairs to explore. And explore I did!! They offer everything from handmade jewelry from local artists, furniture, decor, and even garden decor. My favorite was a beautiful Gargoyle. I wish I had driven here - he would have come home with me. I was actually looking for a gift to take home to my friend who takes care of our pets when we visit Louisville. I found a cute little hand-painted bowl and some colorful bracelets. Just the cutest little gifts for her. Did I walk out with trinkets for myself? I sure did! Hand-made sugar skull earrings, a little mouse made of metal, and a Robot Christmas decoration. The store is just chock full of gorgeous pieces and is just a delight to walk around. read more

What an awesome find while walking around NuLu. We were intrigued by the window and walked in to find a two level store with so much stuff packed into it we list track of time. Before walking in you can already see how cute this store is by the mural outside! I stepped in an immediately fell in love. They have so many cute things in this store! They have unique and great decor as well as lovely furniture. Everywhere you go you can find cute wind chimes and hanging decor. I truly feel like Alice in Wonderland when I go through Red Tree. It is a whole new world, full of beautiful home decor, furniture and antiques. When you first walk in, you see a small room, but don't even expect the small passageway to the left of the shop to lead to what it does. From there, you will find a couple of floors filled with random goodies. It almost feels like you are going through a home decor museum. There is also an outdoor patio with a water fountain that you can peruse around. Some of the stuff have moderate pricing while others are fairly expensive - just depending on the item. Have you watched any of the Red Tree Nooners? Every day during quarantine, the owner Garwood and his niece Diana have been entertaining us with a saucy depiction of the items in the store. Fifty plus episodes are available on Instagram portraying items from napkins to lamps, home decor, outdoor planters and chimes, to spoons and coasters that speak the truth and can be the life of your guests conversations or the perfect gift for discriminating tastes. Items in the shows are available for purchase on their website. The store also sells furniture on the second floor. I have been watching the Red Tree Nooners every day during lunch. I purchased several planters including a pink pot with glasses that my daughter says looks like me, a Buddha planter and a lady face planter which put a smile on my face and also provide a little zen. Other mentionable items, are the colorful language kitchen towel that depicts the current vibes, and the naughty leather coasters that not only save your furniture but lift your spirits. I even found an adorable terra-cotta frog pot that hopped into my bag. Every purchase is tastefully packaged in their signature white bags with red tissue. I have been a customer of the store since I moved to Louisville several years ago. Shopping at Red Tree NuLu is an experience of discovery and wonder. I can always find something that I can't live without like jewelry, art pieces by local talent, and kitchen and bar items to name a few. If you are looking for an unique gift or piece of furniture, checkout Red Tree in the heart of NuLu or via their website. The store reopens on May 20th, but it is open now for curbside pickup, shipping or delivery. One of the coolest boutiques in the Nulu area. Every time I'm in the area, I love to come here and browse at all the cool items. There are items ranging from trinkets, to books, furniture, and so much more. Staff is always so very friendly and welcome you upon entering the store. There are current COVID precautions in place and sanitizer upon entry. There is plenty of on street parking. Overall, I will continue to come back here over and over. Really cool store! I've always wanted to go in here. I'm not sure why I never have because I'm always in Nulu and have been to almost every store here. Anyway, lots of people were walking through here just looking around. I honestly didn't pay attention to even see where there was a cash register so I'm not sure where the workers were at. Still, it looked like it was a building that had previously been a house. There were numerous rooms to walk through and even an upstairs and a little garden and outside area with a small fountain. They have all kinds of things in here. Vintage stuff, cutesy stuff, UK and UofL decor, kitchen things, funny cards, paintings, etc. I would totally come back and purchase something. Very very neat place. I would love to know the history behind the building. I don't even know the correct words to use. There's pieces of furniture that appear to have been built into the room long ago. Several different types of pieces to find here: vintage to modern. several local artist have their items up in the store. My favorite was the candles that were made using beer or wine bottles. I think the scent was fruit loops. We of course stopped in the famous little courtyard to have our picture taken. They were working hard to add more stuff to the walls when we went. read more

I love this place. I haven't bought anything here, but I could wander around the place for an hour or two. And I have. I stopped in with a friend during a photowalk. They didn't seem to mind that we spent at least and hour there, walking around with our cameras, enjoying everything we looked at. I was in love with the wine glass chandelier, old milk bottle chandelier, and this crazy strange light on the second floor. I of course wanted to buy everything in the store, but have no space at home for these things or the money to buy it. But the staff is wonderful, and the selection and variety of furniture and knick-knacks is fascinating. I covet the doors in the court yard. Red Tree is an essential stop if you're making the rounds in the NuLu area of Louisville. I get lost wandering among the antiques, fun knickknacks and bowls of different scented potpourri. And the store definitely warrants a couple of laps through because you'll miss some things on your first time. Some of my favorites from my last visit include globe mobiles, glass and wood bowls, antique chests of drawers, wood cutting boards and the china rose potpourri. Fun fact: during the Friday Trolley Hops (the trolley just rolls, it doesn't actually hop) the owner's niece does psychic readings. If you have a psychic and need it read she does a very, very good job. Do you need any knick-knacks paddy whack or tchotchkes for Tchaikovsky? This is your place. While I go across the street to Revelry for my horcrux needs this place may also, or may not, suit your needs. It has loads of cool stuff. There are two floors and the whole place looks like The Room of Requirement is having a yard sale, I heartily approve. The people who work there are Cubs fans so not only are they used to disappointment but they're also used to inane comments so they can help you better than anyone can. Another great find on my recent Nulu Adventure. I passed by several times working at my booth, so when my shift was over it was the first stop I had to make! It was 2 stories filled with furniture, knick knacks, antiques, and pieces of art. The walkways through the multi-room & Multi-level facility are fairly narrow and winedy, but almost act as a pathway in a maze that is trying to direct you to see all that the store has to offer. Today, I was just window shopping but definitely seen many items that will draw me back to the store in the future. Today was unique as they also had Jessica Tanselle a psychic medium there doing readings. The ambiance of the store struck me as the perfect opportunity to try a reading out. super cute store! Unfortunately terrible customer service. My husband and I stopped by on my birthday after lunch, wanted to check it out. Like most of Kentucky, no one was masked except my husband and I. We have both been vaccinated, but know of many breakthrough cases, and due to my recent travels 6 countries in 10 days. I knew that I had a higher then normal chance of contracting the virus, plus I had a cold. All was going great until we finalized our purchase. Out of the blue and for absolutely no reason except to be snarky, The salesman asked us if we were both doctors because we had our masks on. We both travel for a living, he a pilot me a chef/Flight attendant on private jets. Because we have to travel internationally and mostly on commercial aircraft we feel we are being responsible by taking Covid-19 precautions. Will not be going back. read more

Love this place, what a great space. A couple of floors full of great things to choose from and the variety of items makes it a pleasant and very interesting place to be in. The outdoor space is nicely laid out. I felt like I was walking through someone's enchanted backyard as I browsed the items for sale. This great store is kept so nice and tidy. We had fun exploring the store with our two grandkids. The handsome young man behind the counter was very welcoming and friendly. Side note: In my research (after our visit) about the store, I discovered a very cool thing. Wait for it, ha, there is (or at least was) a loft and a single room to rent out here. How cool is that! From what I read the loft and the single room are located behind an unassuming door or wall on the 2nd or 3rd floor? I plan on getting to the bottom (or top floor ;)) of my discovery and possiby staying a night in one of the hidden spaces. I understand there's a large common space that guests of both the loft and the room can enjoy. Ole Red Tree, I will definitely be back for a visit! read more
