Parking was surprisingly easy, and once we got started, it was a block and a half of a good time. Now, we did not buy much, but we did enjoy seeing everything and talking to a few people. We were especially excited to buy fruit directly from the farmers! I got a bunch of peaches and nectarines, and let me say I have never in my life tasted such good fruit! I also tried the homemade strawberry & rhubarb pie, and bought the homemade honey with cinnamon. I also especially liked how the Farmer's Market overlooked Silver Beach. It was a nice time, and I look forward to going back before the Farmer's Market season ends this year! Turned out they only had one left in the whole store, and it just so happened to be at her register, so that was lucky. This store is huge and has sections based on practically every animal. Whether you need something for your dog, your kitty, your hamster, your rabbit or even your birds, you will find what you need. They also have birds that made a nest in the ceiling so that was a fun distraction for the kid, and also pretty typical of this brand of store. I swear they always have birds haha. Overall, I would highly recommend coming in to get your items and would recommend asking for help from the employees if you need it. The flowers are beautiful, not over priced, and the bouquets were well put together. I have fond memories of coming out here in the crisp windy weather of fall to chose a pumpkin and some gourds. The pumpkins are always adorably painted, come in varying sizes, and, just like the flowers, aren't overpriced. My mom always complained I had to pick the biggest, most outrageous looking pumpkin in the world. Usually I got a large pumpkin with a famous painting on it like starry night or Mona Lisa. I also appreciate the colorful knives, my favorite being the watermelon knife that not only has a green handle, pink blade and cute outs that look like seeds on the handle but also is long and really great quality. Yes, it does cut thru a watermelon really well. The staff is helpful but not pushy. They greet you with a smile and offer assistance. They are willing to answer questions-make sure to ask about any future cooking classes because they do hold them here on occasion. Definitely stop in here for a unique kitchen decorating experience.

The absolute best part about Urban Garage = free gift wrap!!! And it's the loveliest paper, colors and presentation! What a beautiful touch of you're looking for a gift (and card!)- the ladies here do everything for you! I thought this was going to be all vintage, but there's a lot of women's clothing. I wish they had a wider range of sizes as they seem to target a younger crop top crowd. It also seems like they have absolutely every item out on the same floor, so some things don't feel special. The jewelry is very cool- a mixture of upcycled pieces and pieces clearly bought in bulk. They have a gorgeous stationery section and their candles are unique (and make great gifts!) I'm not sure they've yet found their niche as everything seems a bit everywhere. Candlesticks = $18 for a box of two, brass necklace = $48, lamp = $225.
