The place inspires in me what my husband refers to the "Target-Thousand-Yard Stare" - which apparently the look I get on my face when I browse the aisles of Target, child free. (You know what I'm talking about, fellow moms ;). The shop is beautifully curated. You know that whoever does the buying for this place puts a tremendous amount of heart into the items they select. There are seasonal items like graduation gifts, Mother's/Father's Day presents, and even Christmas ornaments that are perfect souvenirs to remind you of beautiful Glen Arbor in all its summertime glory when you're putting up your Christmas tree in December. We received permission and shortly after entering the store their large Great Pyrenees attacked our dog and put a gash in my wife's foot. Staff stood around and did nothing to help except remove the dog. Fortunately, there was nurse shopping, and she helped stop the bleeding until we could get to a clinic. Nice art but be careful.

Fine, hand-crafted jewelry; sculptures in metal, wood, and clay; fiber arts; and watercolors stand out most for me. Kim Bazemore, the owner of Cog's Creek, is an open and welcoming personality. She has a clear respect and love of the arts evident in its presentation and depth. I love going into the space because it feels good and gives me a chance to really look and appreciate the work, which I very much do!
