I had expected to view another store of hers, and when I called merely asking for an apology, as I thought the sale was deceitful and she knew its P.Diddys, she dismissed me and hung up. We spent about an hour in there. There's two levels, where books are well presented and deals featured. You walk through the shelves, and you'll see the different genres featured and bins with sale items clearly marked. The upper floor has poetry, photography, gardening, and cookbooks. The street floor has fiction, science books, and women's literature. These are just the genres that I remember. The other side of the store has antiques and other well curated items for sale. You can tell that the owners take a lot of pride in the presentation of their store. I loved it! I recommend anyone in the area to stop by and check it out.

Don't get me wrong, I take no issue with charging more for better brands, but prices between $60-$75 are unreasonable for a charity thrift store. Goodwill may do the same, but not to the same extent. This is NOT a thrift store - it is more on par with consignment prices. I just don't like that they get these clothes donated and then mark them up and call themselves an 'affordable thrift shop'. It's false advertising and frankly - especially considering their likely exemption from taxes - a little greedy.

Now, with the 75% off deal, things were reasonable. I got a dress, a necklace, and a jacket. The store was very clean. The women at the counter took a long, long while to figure out the cash register.

Plus theres tons of other thrifts on the same street. I loved the clothes. Very trendy in an eclectic way; wide variety of 80's/90's stuff, some festival stuff, some totally out there/whimsical/gay pride/woodstock/retro vibe stuff. It was all in my ball park because I love wearing pieces that you don't see on everyone, so I liked just about everything there. The negative for me is the prices. Personally, a big reason I love thrifting is because I usually find them at a steal price at goodwill or in a cool thrift store off the beaten path, etc. which makes it such a cool experience. But when I go to a thrift store with higher prices it takes away from the experience for me a bit, I feel like I'm paying someone else to do the fun searching for me which can be okay too I guess. For example, I think a really cool T shirt with Tupac on it was $60 or something around there. There's just no chance I'd buy that. It's pretty on par price-wise with the other shops in the area though. I forgot to take pictures inside but I bought this cool shirt I'm wearing for $16.

This is usually the part of the city I head to when I want to stroll around and maybe do some vintage shopping/antiquing (don't judge me). Many who know me know that I have a weakness for 80s/90s and especially throwback clothing and accessories that remind me of my childhood. This is not something unique to me but I will say everyone who loves vintage will probably find something that they like or want here at SIX2SIX. My first time in I didn't get to spend as much time as I'd like but I plan on heading back soon when there are no errands to run and more time to spend drooling over their amazing selection. I was going in between two beautiful pieces of furniture and by the end of the day, the choice was made for me because one of the two was already sold. I had antiques as well as reproductions all high quality. She said she would send me an inventory list and what she would price them at. When I didn't hear from her for 2 weeks I emailed her. I then received a call that None of my items were suitable for her store. It's funny because some of the items I purchased at her store. So I'm not sure why she did this. Are they going out of business or don't want to give you an estimate of what they will price an item at? Anyway, I wound up selling everything on Facebook marketplace at great prices and no commission fees.

Also has fresh (new) house and personal accessories. However, new clothing comes in/rotates quite often. I've been here twice and picked up long-sleeved pearl-button jean Wrangler and pineapple shirts; a Hawaiian short-sleeve Pierre Cardin shirt from the 60s-70s; and and a tan 80s sweater collar puffer vest (as the employee said, "It's back to the future"). Great place, great vintage. Worth the price!
