I ordered the curry goat dinner which displayed plantains in the pic on the sign, but you had to pay $4 extra for them to be included. When I got home thinking I was going to enjoy I was greatly disappointed. Mind you, you did give me a lot of goat meat, but it was salty and dry as heck and the rice and beans were dry as well. I had to add stir fry sauce to kill some of the salt taste. Definitely wasn't going to throw $25 in the trash! There was absolutely no juice on any of it. The plantains were good, so it wasn't a TOTAL waste....but paying $25 just for that was frustrating! read more

I came to this market yesterday and had so much fun that I brought my family the next day. After reading the reviews, I saw that most people complain that this place is expensive, which I saw at some kiosks. As for me, I bargained my way through that place, cutting at least 10 to 20 dollars off of big-ticket price items. Honestly, this place is a whole vibe, and it reminds me of old Lexington Market stands before gentrification. Make sure to stop at the bar and pick up a slush with a shot of rum and walk through the kiosk, get a cheap lunch, and go home. Have Fun! read more

Extremely large flea market. There's a little something for everyone from household products, to electronics, to clothing. The restrooms were clean, the food court area was not. We got a shrimp cake from the Crab Porch and it was unique and very good. While there was a variety of items, nothing was really my style or preference. I probably wouldn't go out of my way again or pay tolls (but would stop in if in the area for something else). Also, they charge 25 cents to get in. While obviously not a lot of money, paying anything to go shopping is odd. I've never paid to enter a flea market in my life. read more

Omg, this place is huge! There are a lot of different booths selling different merch. I wanted to check this place out since the reviews are mixed. First off, they only open weekends: Sat and Sun. Then, they do have a 25cent entrance. Next, they only accept cash. Those are main points. They do have a food court but the most popular is prob the Crab cake stall. They're good, but not spectacular. Small one is $12, big one is $20, so yes, it's pricey. Now on to the merch. Ok, they're mostly geared for the African-American demographic, but they simply have a lot and I mean a lot of stuff that everyone would be interested in. They have some African and Caribbean stalls. I guess it's obvious that they also sell knock-offs, a lot of made-in-China stuff, some antique, some used merch, a lot of fashion clothing and accessories. The prices? You could get a good deal if you haggle. Or you could get ripped off too. I didn't spend enough time to browse because I sort of walked the whole place to get a feel of the layout. You can always find something here. My daughter loves getting her air brush items from here as well as other trinkets, jewelry and little purses. For those that don't have time to read what might be a long review, I will say this about Patapsco Flea Market: AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!!! If you are looking for a flea market where you can selectively browse tables and booths full of merchandise, without being hassled by the vendors then this will not be the place to go. However if you are looking to be stalked constantly with people hassling you, and trying so hard to get you to buy something that they come off as sketchy, then by all means you've found the right place. You will not walk more then 10 feet through the door before someone tries to sell you something, and then for the next hour and a half you will be approached an average of 2 times every 8 minutes. If you even look interested in a booth for a moment, and the vendor catches you, they will instantly start trying to sell you stuff. Also there will be people standing in your way every step you take, and they will look at you like you're crazy for saying excuse me. There will be random shady (as hell) people posted up on the wall, or inside of doorways that aren't even vendors, that will try to make a quick buck off you. You will not, let me repeat WILL NOT peruse, browse, quietly observe, become curious about, or even attempt to show any sort of interest IN ANYTHING without receiving some sort of pitch, and if you do then that means they are watching you like a hawk, and everything you pick up you will receive a short report on. I can honestly say that though you may actually find a good deal here and there, the culture in this place has the swag of the dude who watches you break a bill through the window of a gas station, and then asked you if you have any change on the way out. Maybe even worse the guy who knows you just purchased a pack of cigarettes and has the balls to ask you for one before you even open the pack. This place would be amazing if the people inside of it would just shut up, and let you look at what they have to offer. I mean it's supposed to be a flea market, and nobody just goes to a flea market with the intent NOT to spend some money. I spent a good part of my trip just trying to look at a few things and duck the vendors. I had a rapper try to sell me on him being the best thing since sliced bread, and sell me his album which was not in plastic, and copied on a burned cd, but had somehow managed a gucci mane feature, but couldn't manage a legit case with a bar code, or a placement on itunes #FOH. All Baltimoreans know this market! The identity of Baltimore and the love for a deal really shine forth at this market. The 25cents counter for admission has been moved to the entrance. This is a great place to support small businesses and the inside is organized. I remember going here yearly when I was growing up. I appreciated the changes and the way the individualism of different vendors are highlighted here. Meh. I've been here twice and all I can say is meh. You don't get the flea market vibe. It's mostly vendors with brand new fake designer items. There are a couple people trying to hustle a few dollars and I respect that. But today was kinda rough. An old school Nintendo 64 game. Selling online for $25-$30. The lady wanted $20. Untested. Had no interest in lowering the price or haggling. Next item (same lady) refused to sell it to me because it was on hold, but the item had no sign. I asked how long would she hold it.. I was willing to pay for full asking price and she rudely said "as long as I want." Ok! Another booth was a fire danger stuff everywhere looked like the room exploded. The only reason for 3 stars is the nice gentleman who helped me out and had reasonable prices. & the ladies always selling by the food court. Those are the best booths. This is not an upscale flea market but a flea market none the less. Plenty if stores for items for kids, electronics, clothing, housing essentials they even have a vape shop in there. We visited the Patapsco Flea Market for the first (and only) time on Sunday June 3, 2018. This is the first and only time that I have gone to a flea market where I have bought NOTHING and didn't want to buy ANYTHING. I'll do some positives first. There is a parking lot that is paved with parking. There are bathrooms and they are clean. The people watching is good. That is about it for positives. There was illegal gambling going on in the food court. I can't tell you how many counterfeit items I saw for sale - fake designer purses, fake designer shoes, fake designer clothes. They have a lot of cell phone accessories but I was afraid to buy them because I don't want to fry my phone. There were several booths with handmade scented soaps but I didn't see any prices on these and I got the feeling in this place that the price would be different depending on the buyer so I didn't ask. If you like vintage items like I do, don't come here. There are almost no vintage items or antiques for sale here. Almost everything that is for sale is new. The building layout is a maze. So many rooms added on to each other. While I was walking through I had the thought of "How would I get out of here if there was an emergency? I can't see the exits" ... Admission is .25 - I didn't know that any markets like this still charge for admission. The only reason to go here is if you want to experience an out of this world experience. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews about Patapsco Flea Market. Maybe I have limited flea market experience, but I thought it was decent. I didn't have high expectations in the first place, so that could also tie into my rating. This place is huge. It only costs $.25 cents to get in, and they have all kinds of stuff. Of course there are a lot of knock-offs, it's a freaking flea market. If you want REAL discounted name brand merchandise, go to Nordstrom Rack, or look on ebay. I enjoyed looking around, but I'll continue to do my real shopping elsewhere. Again, don't come here if you are expecting "deals" on name brand stuff, but if you have some free time and want to explore check it out! read more

Now this place is a Sunday must do for the entertainment value! There are some characters at this place..that's for sure! As far as stuff..the inside goes on for miles, almost like a mall. It's filled with knockoff purses, clothing, shoes, electronics, etc. I think the deals are on those outside booths. We got a $150 tool for $30! Also I walked away with a pretty cool ring for $8. On a Sunday when you are "godless" you need a place to go. Patapsco Flea Market is a fun stop on the "day-trip" days. I have never been but I like Flea Markets and the such. I am a huge fan of the ones in Pennsylvania as they also have Amish Markets in it. This one does not. But that is okay. We did go on a Sunday so I believe the Flea part of the market probably wasn't as big as it usually was. The indoor space was really big and went on and on and on. They had a lot of clothing and jewelry. There was also a guy with a Spider. (It scared the crap out of me) Most of the place was fun. And I did enjoy the break in their food court. it got a little repetitive after a while and could use for more variety. There is one place in there called Sassy Cathy's and I plan on going back many times. She rocked my socks! I still can't seem to get the stench out of my nose. It was HORRID! The hubs bought some cologne and then we wasted about 40 minutes wandering around this crappy excuse of a flea market. It was cheap knock offs and pushy sales people. I can't imagine this place being any fun for anyone. Even if you do find a good "deal" I bet it falls apart or breaks pretty easily. First, there are reviews stating there are fake merchandise. HOWEVER, as I am aware, there has been very big police raid for fake merchandise few years back and all those vendors have been escorted out and no longer allowed on premise. The management of this market upkeeps the premise on this matter very closely** and has even posted a sign to report any unlawful merchandise*** to the office!! As it is a flea market, the items are cheaper/**more affordable** than other places for the same items. A "Flea Market" is not a place for 'cheap' items (that would be 'used or cheap quality' merchandise); this market sells much more affordable merchandise than else where for the same exact goods! 3.75 stars. My friend and I wanted to do some local shopping close by and saw Patapsco FM on the local agenda. In the Hudson Valley, NY indoor flea markets are kind of outdated now so we thought what the heck, let's go. It's about 10 minutes from the Inner Harbor. Parking was easy. The place is HUGE. I was in my glory upon entering because of the outdoor Crab Bar I spotted in the car. There is an outside flea market which is mainly junk and stolen goods people re-sell or so it seemed. Inside, very different. My friend and I are world travelers and don't give much thought to being different in a cultural crowd. We got a lot of looks from the locals but we tried to blend in and make them comfortable with the fact we were ready to spend some of our hard earned cash! Most products including food were geared toward the African American community so i didn't find anything i could use. I found the Henna shop after a little hunting. I was very happy to get my Henna tattoo on finally! The lady did a great job. Both feet for $25.00. I also found a music CD with all 70 jams on it on my way out. There was a guy selling BLM tshirts and didn't like me shopping his venue so I walked away from him gently. The people at this flea market WE'RE SO NICE. Friendly, helpful, kind. We went to the crab place and they were giving samples of seasoned shelled crabs. After I tried that I bought a crab cake and jumbo shrimp from the guy for $12. Then we went out back to jam with the bar folks. MUSIC WAS INCREDIBLE. I was right in my element: seafood, beer, and great music. I had a lot of fun!!! Patapsco Flea Market just got raided today by Federal Agents and Homeland Security!! Lolllll Most people go here for cheap, inexpensive, junk. Some people don't care and others know that most items sold here are Knock Offs. Everyone isn't rich, so, if you can get by with bootleg name brands more power to you. For others it's against the religion to were bootlegs. Ie. Nike sneakers but nothing says Nike on the inside of the shoe., from a distance who knows all of that though. Anyways a 2 year invesigation lead to a raid on the place and they swiped any and everything suspected of being fake, like sports apparel, perfumes, shoes, hats, toys, handbags, etc etc... damn near the whole site. Some vendors may get lucky if they're legit, but this place may be shut down until they scope everyone. Maybe it'll end up being a fish market or farmers market! read more

For what it is, i could give it three for the ordinary person coming here, however for me, i am keeping it at 2 stars. It has a lot of stuff, including Electronic items, CD's/DVD's, pets(because why not), mobile phone accessories, seafood, fruit, a food court, and clothes/fashion apparel, licensed and unlicensed, but i don't buy anything here anymore and never really bought a whole lot in the past.(Used to buy toys and video games here when i was younger, that was it). It's just very filthy and meesy in my opinion and unclean, especially in the appliance section, though to be fair, flea markets aren't that clean, indoor or not, and it isn't as bad as i remember North Plaza being, however, there's nothing here for me, even though i go here on a regular basis with my grandmother. Pretty good flea market. I'm here now typing a review as I'm walking through lol. Lots of deals and bargains. I generally come out here for my scented oils and incense. You can find everything here from clothes, bikes, and shoes to books, computers, instruments, and electronics. Prices are very good. Vendors are very friendly. The food court is always packed although I've never tried the food. I've been coming here since I was a little kid. Great place to check out on the weekends.
