I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. It was my birthday and fortunately I was able to spend it here with my family, my girls, hubby, brother and his family and my dad. This doesn't happen a lot since we live far from each other. My dad took us here and said this place was fantastic. We started with a pinot noir from Oregon that it was so good we had 3 bottles. We also had the salad and queso fundido with chorizo and bread. WOW! The cheese with the chorizo was excellent- we were all very impressed and happy. I could tell the cheese was good quality because of the flavor and texture. We ate it all! The salad had feta, cranberries, tomatoes, onion and a berry vinaigrette. It was delicious. Then we had 3 pizzas- the 3 meats, amazing, the Margherita, it was good (not my favorite) and the cauliflower crust(which was very crispy) with shrimp. This one was surprisingly very tasty and the texture was perfect. We finished the night with an almond/caramel drizzle cheesecake to die for. It was out of this world! It had a candle and the staff and my family sang me HB. The service was one of the best parts. The owner and our waiter were so attentive and friendly and knowledgeable about everything we asked. The location is right off the numero 2 street in Aguadilla. Plenty of parking. Inside is very fancy yet familiar enough to feel comfortable and wanting to return. I can't believe I have never been here before. Good thing is that it will NOT be the last. This will be the place we have to visit every time we go back home to Puerto Rico. read more

Half Full Meat and half Serenata with codfish (bacalao), and Amaretto Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Shoppe in Aguadilla, PR. The taste, incredible. This pizza was deviously and unforgivingly cheesy. There is no sauce....to make space for the cheese. Even the dough is made with potato cheese mixed right in, giving off that toasted cheese at the crust edges. Do NOT be afraid to taste new things here. I almost never ask for dessert, but I had to this time. And boy did I not regret it. The cheesecake is absolutely explosive in the mouth, a real TNT of creamy, amaretty delight. Price for both was $25. read more

It's not very often that you'd find one restaurant that is outstanding in two different categories: cheesecakes AND pizza. Well, this one is. The Cheesecake Shoppe offers a core array of plain, key lime, pumpkin (calabaza), and amaretto cheesecakes. Suffice it to say that at the end of a typical day, there are no cheesecakes left in their refrigerator--they always disappear, eaten by the piece by sit-down diners, or taken out whole. The best hotels and restaurants all over the island buy their cheesecakes (and probably pass them off as their own!). My favorite is the calabaza--spiced just right, creamy and light. Their pizzas are most likely not what you're used to: they don't use tomato sauce, and their crust is closer to a pie crust than pizza dough. And they use cheddar cheese, of all things. But are they ever yummy! My favorite is the Classic, which has chorizo, onions, peppers and black olives. And recently they've added a new Serenata pizza, with peppers, onions and bacalao: It's a religious experience. Their secret pizza recipe was handed down from historic Aguadilla pizza landmarks. Ask anyone who remembers the Chicken Inn pizza and later, Victor's Pizza from the 1960s and 1970s. That's the pizza. And no one else has the original recipe. The Cheesecake Shoppe offers either take-out or on-premises dining. They have a decent wine list and a very impressive list of imported artisanal beers. If you're around the Aguadilla/Isabela area between Thursday and Sunday, stop in and see what I'm talking about. You'll be glad you did! read more

The cheesecake shoppe is a little slice of heaven. They specialise in two things I (and probably everyone) loves, pizza and cheesecake. And boy are those two good. The shoppe offers a variety of flavour combinations when it comes to pizza, but if none of them really calls out to you, you can just make your own pizza. There are dozens of ingredients to choose from and they are all fresh. The pizza has cheddar cheese instead of the usual mozzarella and it is to die for. Aside from the pizza, I highly recommend the bread and chorizo tapas. They were absolutely divine. Crisp chorizo sautéed with fresh garlic paired with a loaf of fluffy toasted bread that is baked in house. I dare say I liked this even better than the pizza. The cheesecakes are beautiful and delicious, especially the pumpkin cheesecake. I've been coming here since I was a child and I still love it best. The waiters were kind and attentive, probably the sweetest waiters I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. All in all this definitely deserves five stars or even more. read more

They do not use traditional sauce, so with that being said it is difficult finding a decent taste of pizza on the island by what Americans define as a good slice. The owner "Frank" not only makes you feel welcome, but his sauceless pizzas are out of this world! The bartender/waiter Manny is the cherry to your evening. A bright, funny, and amazing source of entertainment. He steers you in the right direction for the dish your looking for and encourages laughter. Admittedly i had reservations about a cheddar pie coming from CT. I will admit that this was an excellent pie that does a lot right. The uniqueness of the cheddar cheese with the unusual but savory specialty toppings are creative and work extremely well. Happy to find this place on our trip to Isabela. Pizza is not traditional American pizza but it's good and hits the spot. Loved the cheddar cheese and thin crust, little greasy but what good pizza isn't. We got ours to go and ate at our Airbnb overlooking the ocean. Food was piping hot so it stayed warm on our drive. We also had to get cheesecake slices after seeing them and both slices were great. We had coconut and something like hazelnut I think. Also very friendly staff. What a pleasure it was, dining at The Cheesecake Shoppe. My partner and I strolled through on a Saturday night to be greeted with very friendly staff members. We got our table right away and Manny was our server. Shout out to Manny for giving the best service in Puerto Rico. The pizza was unique with cheddar cheese and 4 meats. We substituted ham for garlic and it was no problem at all. We had a delicious bottle of wine and just when we thought we were too full to make it to dessert, Manny showed me to the case of cakes and it had to be done. I got the Oreo cheesecake and it was the perfect size for our night cap. The cheesecake was so fluffy and light, so delightful! This place has the most amazing artisan pizzas I have ever had, in fact, every single item on their menu is artisan. They serve an amazing bread with butter. The service is super friendly but slow... I went with my friends last night and they literally forgot my pizza so when my friends were all finished, I still hadn't seen it yet. This place was Awesome with a capital A. The waiter was so nice, and all the food was delicious. The pizza is different here than in the states; they use cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella, and it totally works for them. The cheesecake was lighter and fluffier than you'll get stateside; I'm not a fan of regular cheesecake [too rich] so this was better, in my humble opinion. And the red velvet frappe? Oh. Em. Jesus. Delicious. Cute. Reasonably priced. The pizza doesn't taste exactly like American pizza, but on some bites it tastes even better. The type of cheese they use works just right. This restaurant also carries a tremendous amount of beers, and awesome mugs out of which to drink them. Their mixed drinks are also really good. Kind of girly but whatever. Definitely get the cheesecake for dessert. Worth the namesake. We got a cheese plate as an appetizer; it was good, not great. The manchego was a little bland. But it came with a huge, fluffy loaf of delicious bread, so that made up for it. Our waiter was Manny. Hell of a guy. Very nice, had excellent recommendations, and never left us wanting for anything. So Im in a mission of tasting the best pizzas in PR. This is maybe one of the first pizzas to leave me with a feeling of something different and worth recommending to everybody. Its just different. They don't use sauce AND they only use cheddar cheese. Other thing is its name. You can get confused thinking its a bakery or something. But truth is that the cheesecakes are equally awesome. Then you got served by my man Dwight who is gonna talk to you about every beer they have available and look for a way to make you feel good in that place. Excellent food, cheesecakes and craft beer. We ordered the codfish pizza and the the original combination pizza, for dessert we tried the pumpkin and guava chessecake. It was some of the most tasty meals we have had, and really good price. Alsp the service was just as good, from the first person at thw shoppe, to the waiter and the owner. We have experienced restaurants with great pizza, bad pizza, OK pizza.... But NO PIZZA? That's right, after being personally invited by the owner by handing us his business card in another restaurant (is that ethical?), we drove 30 minutes to the Cheesecake Shoppe. We arrived more than an hour before closing and were then informed by the host that they were out of pizza. We kindly requested to speak to the owner. I want to echo the remarks about the excellent service offered. There is an atmosphere of wanting to please, and it makes for a nice experience. The Pumpkin and Amaretto cheesecake we ordered for dessert were excellent. We also had the specialty Frozen drinks: Pina colada, Pina-Coconut Colada (2), and Mango colada, and we tried them back and forth and all of us liked the drinks. They were large, too. The pizza was really loved by the others in our party. I missed the tomato sauce, but I was the oldest one there, and nobody else had anything negative to say. The pizza was fried (deep dish style), and I know that made the crust taste great. The pizzas' were unique, but a 4 topping medium size pizza was $18, and a pepperoni was $16 for that same size. I wouldn't call the pizza a good value, but the experience was unique, and it seemed the place was frequented by locals, so they seem to have a different opinion from mine as to the value. read more

As a Chicagoan, I take pizza pretty seriously. It's the worst when you get excited to bite into a delicious slice only to be let down by sauce, spices, or God forbid, soggy crust. You will not be let down at the CheeseCake Shoppe. The pizza is certainly different...but sooo0o good. First off, there is no menu here. The waitress comes to your table and verbally gives you the daily specials..in Spanish. If you don't speak the language, the owner/mgr does, so no worries. We started with a fresh beer bread and chorizo dish...sinfully delicious! The chorizo was simmering in spiced oil that made a perfect dipping sauce for the bread. I know, I know, but it's vacation..you're supposed to splurge! And this dish is just the way to go! After that, there was no turning back..we went with the sausage pizza. Much to my chagrin, (or was it??) the pizza was covered with a fine layer of oil. We did the ole 'blot and absorb' which took care of that issue, but something delicious in the oil still managed to seep through. Spices, love, who knows..it was delicious. I was awed and amazed by the flavor and taste of the pie...if only they delivered late night. That would be scary good! read more

cheesecake shoppe i don't think so. i herd they have the best cheesecake so i went to the cheesescam shoppe. i ran into a old school buddy he also is a server there. when we where done eating i told him that was very good cheese cake who make it's he told me the truth they only make two cheese cake the rest they buy it from sam's club and put a let bit off ontop and make it nice. i spend about $ 30.00 for 4 on cheese cake and drinks, when the cheese cake cost $13.00 at sam's club and it has 12 slice. i will never go bake. the cheesescam shoppe in aguadilla pr off of num#2 read more
