The chicken coop is my favorite hot wing place by a long shot, and I've had many in the area. I love that they serve full wings and the sauce is delicious and the chicken is tender! The seasoned fries are so tasty (I'm a huge fan of seasoned fries). My favorite meal to eat is a wing meal from this restaurant. If you order there and wait for the food, you will probably have to wait a little while as I believe they cook them to order. It is so so worth it though, because they turn out amazing. All the workers have been super nice every time I've been there. I'd suggest calling in the order first and picking it up. I walk in the door at 6:55pm. The restaurant closes at 9pm on Friday nights, I was told they are not taking any more orders tonight.

DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT ‼‼ they never have all of their food items, there food trucks always run late & very unprofessional. Also don't place an order online with them. I unfortunately ordered online and once the payment went through they called to inform me that they were out of the item until "the next day" I asked if I can just come on the next day to receive my food. It is now 3 days later and still no food and once I asked about a refund they told me I had to go through it the same way I place it ( which didn't make any sense because the money was sent to the establishment) but once I went back to the clover app for a refund it directed me back to the establishment. While I love good customer service, nothing beats a hole in the wall place with a single specialty done well. That's what you get here. CC has some of the best wings I have ever had in my life. The seasoned are my favorites by far. They are whole wings not the little pieces you get at most places. They cook them all to order so expect about a 15-20 minute wait for cooking. When it's really busy you can see the smoke in the air and people standing everywhere. Get it to-go because this is again, not the place for ambiance or customer service! These were the best wings I've ever had. Even better than my own. The wings were worth 5 stars, but I'm deducting one for some problems I had. I ordered them as hot as they can possibly make them. He called them suicide wings. I found them to be manageable, but they were hot. Most places don't seem to know how to make them hot, but I like what they did here. It is hard to get hot sauce or wing sauce to stick to them, therefore it's hard to get heat. The chicken coop uses a thick gooey hot sauce and has loads of crushed red peppers stuck to them. They were hot, but not unbearable. Most places tend to overcook wings like they have a hard time knowing when they are done. The result is dry and chewy. Not here. These wings are juicy and succulent. The lemonade was great. They didn't have the onion rings I asked for, so I settled on fries. These were just ok crinkle fries. Should have skipped that. The roll was just out of a bag. I was the only one eating here while lots of people purchased orders for takeout. They turned down a customer and sent her away because they do take credit cards, but not master card. There are fans and junk on some of the tables, preventing their use. The kitchen door is crumbling to pieces. How about some maintenance? You have to go through the back of their kitchen to get to the bathroom, where I found a bunch of junk storage and a broken down cooler. There were three empty soap dispensers in the bathroom and not one drop of soap in any of them. No paper towels in the bathroom. Do these guys wash their hands? How? I would have graded them a lot harder had the wings not been so great. They have burgers, fish, chicken, and other stuff, but I didn't get to see any because all their business is takeout. What can I say? I've been on a wing kick lately and I've tried wing places from North Memphis to North Mississippi and so far The Chicken Coop has been the best. I called in my order on a busy Saturday night and it was almost ready when I got there. After a short wait my order was ready. I ordered the 20 piece wings, half Lemon Pepper, half Honey Gold. Since I'd never been here before I just looked at a couple of pics here on Yelp and was thinking that the wings were just the split wings and not whole wings, so when they sat that big tray of wings down in front of me I was a little shocked. I paid, grabbed my wings and I headed out the door with what felt like 10lbs of chicken wings. When I got home it was obvious that we would be having wings Saturday night AND Sunday as well since these are whole wings. That's a lot of chicken! I started off with the Lemon Pepper. Awesome! Perfectly seasoned and the chicken was so juicy. So many wing places have a hard time not overcooking their wings. Not a problem here at The Chicken Coop. Not one wing was overcooked! Next up were the Honey Gold! Just as good as the Lemon Pepper, maybe just a little bit better. I loved the sauce, it was nice and thick and really stuck to the chicken. Some of the Honey Gold I've had at other places was too thin and didn't coat the chicken as well. I also like the fact they give you some pretty good rolls, not just white bread like some places. These might be just rolls right out of the bag but they are a good quality. In fact they're the kind I buy when cooking out at home. They also included a nice size portion of carrots and celery with several containers of Blue Cheese Dressing. One more thing to note, Yelp has them located at an address across Hacks Cross from this location. From some of the other pics posted I assume that they have moved recently because this is far from the dump that was described in one of the other reviews and some of the pics. If it had been finished early, could have been sitting out for who knows how long. Went to pick up order, was told no order was placed. When I spoke to the person who took my order and showed when I had placed the call on my phone - she told me she wasn't the one to take the order. Then changed her story. Then told me it was under a different name and had been spelt out over the phone (it had not).
