I discussed this with them and they assured me that he would be taken care of. I Brought in the EXACT amount of his medication he would need for 2 days before the Easter holiday. The first day went well and I called to check up. Second day I pick my 8 month old, and I'm told by the caretaker that he had been irritable and fussy and his breathing had become rattled. I asked if his medication was giving and she said yes, and proceeded to tell me the times. When I got home I noticed he had a fever and that he was having a hard time breathing. I immediately called his doctor on call, and I go through the bags to get his nebulizer so i can go ahead and give him another round of his medication. That was when i noticed that the box i left at the daycare (that should have been empty if the medication was used) still had the last 2 vials that should have been used that day. THEY NEVER GAVE MY BABY HIS Medicine. And to make it worse they lied to me saying they did! I had to take my baby to the ER. Since it was Easter weekend i had to wait until Monday to talk with Vicky (the director) and the owner (chanelle) but my husband did call and leave a msg. They returned his call Monday morning and Vicky said that as soon and the owner came in that morning they would call and have a meeting. Finally at 11am they agree to meet us so we could discuss this mishap. The moment my butt hit the chair the owner (chanelle) told us that we were wrong and she had the video to prove that they did my child his medication. She starts going through the video so quickly, fast forwarding rewinding, pausing, muting. I kept asking her to show me the time and parts of that last day and she kept getting angry that I was refusing to agree with her, and wanted to see more of the video. All the while, she she continues to argue because at one point the lights are completely off, but she telling me that that was the moment he was getting his meds. You never see anything, on top of that she mutes the volume. Anyone who has used a nebulizer machine knows that loud annoying sound but she mutes this dark video where you see nothing. At this point I'm still asking questions and she's getting more and more frustrated and accusing me and calling her workers negligent. Mind you. I have not said much but was only asking to see parts of the tape. I ask her to show me, since the video is so dark, the moment someone at the front desk would have handed off the medication to the caretaker since all medicines are kept and the front desk. That's when she starts raising her voice, saying that I'm not going to believe her anyway and she doesn't have to show me anything without a subpoena. Things went downhill from there. I told her fine we could arrange that if need be. But aren't those cameras meant to protect the children? She kept arguing when the video was actually playing and pausing it when we would look at it. Little gameplay to distract us from what she was actually doing, which was lying. Finally I got up and said lets go because this is pointless. And she literally said 'yes get outta my office' like we aren't paying clients and that we weren't having a discussion about the wellbeing of my children at her facility. Completely unprofessional. I lost it from there and had few choice words before I left and also had to call 911 because she refused to give both our children's belongings. IF I COULD RATE THEM NO STARS I WOULD. This place was negligent and I had to rush my child to the ER because of it. This is my first time leaving a review ever on anything and I'm doing it because their negligence. Even the cop had to tell her off because she was being uncooperative. I work in healthcare and my husband works for the Department of Defense and I'm going to let everyone we know what happened with these people. Protect your children. DO NOT take them here!

We have been so happy we have transferred our other daughter over. What they do for the community is amazing and the sliding tuition scale benefits so many families who live and work on the Island. I was already living here, so I tried to find a place before he arrived with no luck. I wanted a daycare with a curriculum and most of the ones I'd called had a waiting list. That's when he stumbled upon Another Adventure. I trusted his judgement on the school because he went in for the tour. But I knew there was a problem the first time that I picked my son up from his new school. When you walk into the facility, the first smell that hits you is this rank urine odor. Which would be normal every now and again. But this was everyday. Every. Single. Day. It was disgusting. One would at least think that on a Monday it would smell clean because they must sanitize on Fridays or over the weekend. But no, it ALWAYS smelled this way. My second issue was the fact that my son had been potty training before he started going to this school. And he was doing very well. But after going to this school, he just stopped forward progression with potty training. Which was odd to me because his teachers kept telling me they were taking him to the potty at school. I found out this was a lie. I came in early to pick him up (usually I get off around the same time, but I was done for the day about 2-3 hours early one day.) When I come to pick up my son, his diaper was so full of poop and pee, it soaked through his clothes. When I confronted the director about it, she said it was because he had ran out of diapers the previous day...??? But I'd left diapers for him that morning. So I asked how often they took the kids to go potty, and she said every two hours they change their diapers. But I told her that I had been told he was being taken to the potty. And she told me they couldn't because he didn't have underwear at school. Dumbest thing I'd ever heard in my life. They continued doing this trend from September of 2018-the beginning of March 2019. The last major thing I noticed that made me withdraw my son from this facility was his overall progression and development. My son was doing well before he started at Another Adventure as far as learning new things (words, colors, shapes, how to do different things, etc.) But he became stagnant here. He screamed and screamed every morning I dropped him off before I'd go to work. And he would just stare out into space when I picked him up from school everyday. To me, that's not normal. Children typically adjust to a new place after 2-3 weeks more or less. But he never adjusted because he hated it. And I hated that I wasn't able to pull him out sooner because no one else had room for him. Other things I absolutely hated about this place was the teachers. Some of them are nice, but a lot of them I noticed that worked in my sons classroom were very rude and mean. I'd walk in to one yelling at the children, picking them up incorrectly (by their arms or just snatching them); I walked in to my son crying several times and asked the teacher what's wrong or what happen and her response was "I dunno." There diaper changing/ potty routine is questionable. They'd have several of the kids with their pants and underwear/pull-up down around their ankles just standing around waiting to be changed or to go potty. This seems like it'd create a huge issue because most of the kids can't talk and few know about good touch/bad touch. With as many children as their are in that classroom, an instructor wouldn't know if one of the kids touched another inappropriately. And if so, they're fostering an environment to where it's easy to do so. Please do not take your little ones here. I allowed my son to be here too long because I couldn't find someone with a vacancy in the area. But I've since transferred him to somewhere else that's a little longer of a drive everyday, but it's worth it because he's back to himself again.

It was so heartwarming to see the little kids from several classes perform. - Parking - Center lot. SCT is located in a strip mall on Victory, a very busy part of town. It's right across the street from Chick-Fil- A, also on Victory. The theatre is a lot bigger than I thought. From the outside, I got the impression that it was a small theatre. In fact, the space is pretty deep and there are several rooms and sections in the theatre. From what I saw, the children's field trip was basically participating in one of the workshops that SCT offers to children of all ages. It was so adorable to see the kids on stage. The kids were given various small props like a themed hat and they performed various Aesop's tales with the help of the instructor. There were at least 3 instructors and they each took turns directing the group of young aspiring actors on stage. The instructors did a great job! Such a fun way to get kids involved in the arts. I'll have to look at their schedule of performances and check out some shows with my kids!
