this is my childhood mall, i have many fond memories of it and have zero bad things to say overall…read more more specifically, however, i was helped by gabby when i visited the gamestop at the ocean county mall and she was awesome! i came in to trade in my playstation 4 and upgrade to the PS5. gabby was super informative as to what i would need to bring with me in order to be eligible for trade-in, and also went over all options and details to help me make a decision based on my gaming preferences as to which version of the 5 would be best fit for me. with a year warranty on the new console and a quick upgrade to the gamestop premium membership, i spent about $350 altogether and i'd call that a win when it comes to buying a newest generation console!

Yes, the seat was slightly discolored and the fabric was lightly stained in one area. However, there was no need to immediately dismiss him by saying "WE DON'T SELL CRAP HERE". A simple recommendation to clean the fabric prior to considering it for consignment would have sufficed. I think it goes without saying that this employee would benefit from a lesson in how to treat potential customers with respect and I sincerely hope that her rude behavior is not a reflection of the business as a whole. Thanks for driving home the fact that your shop does not sell "CRAP" but in doing so, also demonstrated your "CRAPPY" customer service.

We stopped by with our 3 kids 3 under 3 due to seeing some gorgeous clothing in the window. The woman at the register was incredibly sweet, however a couple minutes after we entered, another woman came into the store. Im not sure what the woman's name was, but she was an employee. We got there about 10 minutes before closing although we were unaware of that until the other employee brought it up. We apologized & responded by saying we were just trying to get an idea of what the store had and didn't plan on staying past closing. The woman responded with "well some of us have places to be & lives to live". She came off as very rude, despite the other employee insisting to her that she would be fine alone, and that she could leave early. We got there at about 5:20, and the door was not locked, nor did the register woman mention she had an issue at all. My husband went back inside after loading our kids up to explain to the nicer woman, how off putting the other had been, and that it's deterring us as new customers to come back. He went back to iterate that behaving that way was just very rude of her, and we also wanted to ensure that she wasn't the owner of the store. 1 star off for that woman, 4 stars that maybe could become 5 depending on our next visit which will hopefully be a better one. I don't know if she was having a bad day, or an emergency, but we did not appreciate her demeanor towards us, especially in the presence of our children. A few days later I logged onto my accounts and I was charged over $100 for the transaction 3 times. I immediately called the store who told me to call customer service. CS told me that this happened to hundreds of people due to computer glitch and that I would receive my refund within 7 to 10 business days. I asked about opening a case so I had proof of my problem and they refused and told me to keep checking my account. So I waited. I called back on 8/29. The rep said people were calling and livid because gymboree still had not paid them. I told her there was no refund in my account. She told me refunds were supposed to be processed already. I asked for an email address or someone to contact. She refused and said gymboree will not email people. I asked why overcharged customers did not receive a letter from gymboree to let them know of the overcharge. She gave no reason. I again asked for an email from the company of for someone to follow up with me. She refused. I asked her what I should do. She said keeping checking your bank everyday. I said after which point should I call back. She said she would just keep telling me to check my bank through September. I asked her if they at least had a coupon or something for customers like me who are inconvenienced, have to come up with this extra money to pay our credit cards when gymboree has not paid us. She offered a 20% off coupon that you can get in any magazine. It is insane. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with in terms of customer service. We are on first responder family on a budget. I cannot believe the company overcharged customers like me hundreds of dollars and will give us no information other than to check our bank everyday. They told me I would have the refund by the middle of August. Now it is September and no one will help me. Avoid!
