Outstanding sales, service, and problem resolution. These are the pros; I wouldn't even consider using anyone else.

Very professional and thorough of inspection. Said chimney didn't need cleaning and I scheduled an appointment for next year.

The owner coached me how to get my insurance company to pay for my two new chimney liners, and it worked perfectly.

Escape 30 Inch Gas Insert Heat N Glo…read more So I went ahead and finally purchased my gas insert. It's been a long road on my part and I should be giving FireSide 5 starts just for dealing with me and doing the back and forth phone calls and emails. I just like things perfect what can I say. I decided to go with the 30inch Escape there highest end model for that size. Added the wifi package so I can control the fire from my iPhone of course. Jamie was the brilliant representative I worked with and he was very patient with me and explained everything more than twice. They offer a warranty and extend it for a fee. Plus the warranty on the fireplace from Heat N Glow. This place just seems to have the best equipment and a huge selection. I just had my fireplace install finished yesterday. They did a wonderful job and I love the outcome. I'm even thinking of buying a 2nd for my basement. On a sidenote, after the burn in clean I was putting the frame back together after cleaning which is something I don't think anyone should do except a professional, and I just so happen to have scratched my custom back surround. Fireside was nice enough to have someone come out and totally repaint it and it looks great. They charged me nothing for this service. They also replaced my chimney cap with the black square one and I take fault in not telling them todo that the first time. I just didn't like the SS tube. I was only charged for the extra cost of the black vent. I would definitely recommend this establishment over the competition.

This was a 16k fireplace- the project was a mess and damaged our house extensively in the process. They lost the original design of the hearth, pushing our project back weeks because no one noticed it hadn't been ordered. Failed to communicate dates that the inspection was occurring from the city, so he showed up while we were out of town. The subcontractor-mason was a mess- I expect dust etc when you're completing any type of remodel but this was extensive and he took very little care about not causing a mess or damage. -he didn't cover our rug and ended up wrecking it with mortar in both the living room and by the door -he didn't cover stair treads which ended up getting extensively scratched -only partially covered walkway, so wood flooring was scratched -used wood bench and my new kitchen table to lay out stones and tools (both ended up with scratches, dents and paint chips- I actually heard him drop stones onto the bench from above - dropped stones on the wood floor causing a chunk to come out of my floor - our couch was covered in huge chunks of wet mortar across the room -bathroom had mortar tracked into the rugs (bc shoes were never removed only wiped on MY rug -built in bench that they new needed to open can now not open because the stone he placed is too large to allow it to. Overall- company doesn't care. ‍

My wife requested service and was told unit was out of warranty and service call would be $300 plus parts. Unit has two year warranty and $300 is a rip off. I read manual 'trouble shoot' and found controller needed to be reset, this fixed the problem. It took longer to take front panel off that repair. Fireside Hearth & Home is price gouging. No excessive pressure to buy now or anything. We came back and just finalized things including schedule of install. First objective, have a Fireside assessor come out and confirm all the dimensions and setup. This guy was professional, offered options and again, no pressure on the options. I wanted the higher quality fireplace and this meant opening up my brick. Yes, it added to the cost (about $400), but the gentleman did not try to "sell" me either way. My decision. We received an email with all the dates and times of install (the process is for all these companies - install all the components, get city inspector to review, then finish the installation with hookup). There were NO surprises around this. At time of first visit, the Chimney Doctors arrived promptly and did there work quick. The installers were lined up right after them, but didn't arrive right away to take the old fireplace out. No problem, the Chimney Doctors took care of it and continued. Fireside guys came in and did quick work. Signed the papers, scheduled City inspector to come same day - all done by the crew. City inspector came out the same day. He was a pain in the ____ and stated the gas valve had to be moved - even though the gas line that they hooked up to has been there with no issues before. I think the City inspector was mad about his troubles getting up my driveway. Inspector said he would contact Fireside. Final hookup, I go up to the installer while he was working and asked him if the City Inspector contacted them to tell them about the adjustments needed... he did not contact them. No worries... Fireside installer contacted his boss, they finished the job and scheduled to get the gas line moved. Same crew comes over that did the original install and they couldn't believe why they had to adjust the line. I don't blame them, but they did what they had to anyways. On top of it, my boiler system was acting up while they were there. One of the guys looked at it, since he was in HVAC for many years, and offered suggestions on who and how to fix. Very helpful. All in all - This was the easiest experience I have had in a long time from start to finish from a company. I was concerned about paying a higher cost, but either way, it was very much worth it knowing I got a quality install by professional friendly people.
