The Chiroport Massage Lounge, MSP Concourse F Oh oasis. Oh, surprise paradise after one of the hardest work weeks I can remember in a long time. I used to know the airport lounge on every layover. I knew the layouts, the food and alcohol offers, and which wines were free vs. premium, which meant a few bucks. I knew how to make a two-hour delay disappear into vats and vats of red wine, glass after glass (the free kind), the endless refill, the nod across the bar that meant yes, another, or better yet, the ones where I could fill my own glass, to the very top of the rim, whispering to myself that it counted as only one glass. Every trip. Every "I deserve this." Vats. Vats. Sober since November 2024 and damn happy about it. But sitting there watching isn't fun anymore. It's just boring. The whole performance looks exactly like what it always was, and I just never had the distance to see it. The people sandwiched in around me filling and refilling their glasses as they numb out, working on their laptops, watching inane TV shows, or mindlessly scrolling and scrolling and scrolling. So I finished my free cheese and crackers accompanied by a Pellegrino with a lime, tucked a banana and a Rice Krispies treat in my bag for the plane, and threw myself out the door to find people, places, and stories. Much more interesting. And I found this. The Chiroport has outposts all over MSP, which I did not expect, and walk-ins are welcome. Although a little more pricey than the chair massages on my hometown block, the luxury of this paradise happening right by my gate was priceless. The Massage Lounge at Concourse F, tucked in amidst Wendy's and Jimmy John's and all assaults on one's nostrils that I beg the gods to not transport onto my tin can plane home. Indulge here please, dear airport village. Consume, enjoy and drop in the trash. A fairy haven. An oasis I did not expect. Malu welcomed me immediately for a twenty minute chair massage. I am no stranger to such indulgences and have often needed therapy for life stress and a lot of working out. Did I mention aging. After the usual questions I looked deep into her eyes. Like I do with all therapists I have met over the years. You get good at spotting the unicorns. The ones who are both receivers and transmitters and know how to tune in to your body. Your ligaments. Your energies. And your blocks, knots, and deeply stored challenges, worries, and anxiety hibernating in there. I looked deep and hoped and prayed she would be one of those. And I said to her: "Please make it better." And she did. She asked if she could unzip my jumpsuit to really get into my back. Of course I said yes. She then reached into my armpits and released old work stress that had been sitting there, tired and uncollected, maybe for years. Thirty years of massages, and no one had ever thought to look there. She looked. She found everything. I don't fully understand all the vagus nerve content that floods my social media algorithms nowadays, but honey, when she sputtered mine back to life like a rusty old lawnmower that's been sitting rusting in the garage, the life force I felt flowing had no words. Just trust me. And it got better. Long leans on my back, slow and easing everything back to how it was meant to be. And as things relaxed, the ever-sought pop pop pop of back areas I have no names for, releasing, signaling that something is finally letting go. And yes. This was twenty minutes. When I stood up I was several inches taller. My face arranged in what my husband would recognize as "anchovy drunk," which is what our cat looks like after the good fish pate. I needed a moment. Then remembered to zip before hugging her. She took a photo of me in the chair, Jimmy John's glowing behind me. A perfect portrait of contrast. Those twenty minutes revved up everything the week had ground down. For that I owed Malu's talented hands words, heart and joy. I'll be back. Hell, I didn't want to leave. I looked up her name afterward. It comes from a few cultures, though she told me she is Ethiopian. It means peace, calm, shelter, protection. Of course it does. I always seem to have a long layover whenever I go through MSP but this time I discovered something amazing! There is a Chiroport here just like ATL and LAS (which was closed due to COVID the last time I was there). I was slowly making my way to Smack Shack when I glance over and see "CHIROPRACTOR" like a sign from above. I put my lobster roll craving aside and got in line for an adjustment. I've been to many chiropractors over the years but wow, I was impressed. From the minute we started the doctor was patient, knowledgeable, and seemed to truly want to help people. I chose to go with the spinal adjustment and the doctor was quick but thorough with his exam. Once the adjustment started he immediately found a couple trouble spots and tailored the adjustment to my needs. After he was done he even gave me some tips and showed me a couple stretches I could do at home. I'm so sorry I didn't get his name but he was skinnier with a shaved head. He also mentioned that he's usually there from 7a to 7p. It's a small square kiosk type location and they have chairs outside the "office area" for people who are waiting. Excellent treatment. If you are beat, sore, and tired from the trade show or business trip in general and need an excellent adjustment = The Chiroport is absolutely perfect. Seriously they have three options to select from, I selected Total Wellness. Best of everything they offer. Really if you are feeling the need, go for the Total Wellness option! Don't hesitate. The place is clean, very professional and the staff chiropractor was very good and knew very well what she was doing and addresses the knots and all the problem areas like precision stealth targeting. What a great kiosk to hit up. I travel a lot and the different beds have really thrown me off. Sometimes I don't have the time to go and get adjusted where I travel to, but when I saw this in the C terminal...it was an AWESOME opportunity. I opted for the signature treatment and was NOT disappointed!! Im retired military and was given a discount. The signature series took about 20-25 minutes, but he has a quick adjustment he can do in ~10 minutes for those that do not have the time. read more

Wow, these guys are amazing. I got the signature service and I'm feeling great. I was kinda worried since to me there are 2 kinds of chiropractors, the ones that spend 5-10 min per patient and the ones that take their time. These guys are definitely the later and recognize their regulars, of which I shall be from now on. It's very difficult to find a chiropractor when you are on the road. Traveling causes a lot of stress on the body and these guys were able to take my tight back, neck, and hamstrings; massage them a bit and then get the bones/joints to move. I am walking straighter and my body doesn't feel as much weighed down so able to move better. If you have 15-20 min you should definitely check them out, your body will thank you. read more

It would be easier to rate if they were open..... Ever. I fly a lot and none of their sites are open. All zipped up with a number to call. Unfortunately the number gives you the business hours (clearly not correct) or other locations. So you end up on this perpetual goose chase through the airport until you run out of layover and fly away. read more

Wasn't sure about an adjustment at an airport. I figured it would be high cost low value, basically like everything else beyond security check. I was wrong. The adjustment was thorough, quick, and a damned good price. If you see one and you feel the ping, stop by. Totally totally worth it. read more

I know this sounds weird but I talk about Dr. Mike all the time because he is the only chiropractor that can get my tricky neck. I love that they're in the airport so it's totally convenient too! I was traveling and in desperate need of some relief in my thoracic spine. It was like a sign from above (or somewhere anyway) to find this directly across from my gate, F7. Got a full spine adjustment and trigger point therapy. I have some real issues that the chiropractor was able to address. He asked questions, clearly communicated what he was doing and wasted no time getting to work. Honestly, for $49, it's a great value and I'm going to go to the office when I land, and not be in pain. I have to say this is the second time I have used the chiropractor service while passing through MSP. Both times I've had different doctors and both of them were outstanding chiropractors. They take their time, investigate your problems and then they align your body. Don't think twice about coming here these guys know what they're doing! I will use the service again! Soooo you walk next to a Chriopractor in the airport, JUST as you're whining to yourself about your body being a wreck after a month long yoga training and two 10-hour back to back flights (and 4 more hours on planes still to go), so I had to. This is such a great thing to have in the airport, and I hope it spreads to other airports! Last weekend I got off a flight with sore achy muscles in some spasm, from sitting in tight quarters in economy. I was so pleased to walk by a chiropractor in the gate area, and dropped in for a treatment. I got adjusted and some massage in the tight areas and felt so so much better afterwards. In fact, I used them again when I flew home today, had a different doctor and again, an excellent experience. Not only are they conveniently located, but they are open seven days a week!
