In the end I decided to withdraw completely as I didn't feel right about proceeding with a counteroffer. It wasn't meant to be for me. And you know what, Jennifer remained professional about it and carried herself graciously and gracefully. I always think back if I ever made a mistake but I have no regrets in backing out.
