Having said that, it's important to acknowledge the local businesses (of all kinds!) that provide quality service to the community. I go to the dry cleaners a few times a year to make sure my suits are up to par. The place I used to go to (and the accompanying plaza) got torn down a few months back. After a quick Yelp search, I landed on The Cleaners. Once again, the reviews didn't lead me astray. Situated on a busy corner off of Colorado Blvd, my experience here was exactly the type I look for. Quick, professional and reliable. The attendant took my jackets and told me they'd be ready on Saturday, a three day turnaround I believe. Not only was the price right, but the end result was spot on. Jackets looked clean as a whistle and they were ready on time, just like they said. In my book, that's 5 stars all the way! read more

The owner and workers at The Cleaners are very professional, nice, and they're committed to trying to make things right. Unfortunately, whoever is providing them services, especially in tailoring and fixing buttons on garments, fail every single time. Button replacement problems here have been ongoing here for years. They have fixed a lot of the issues when they have come up, but they always seem to happen, and the root of the problem is ongoing. They re-attach buttons to garments tight and flush preventing the button to even work and be used. Every single button I have had replaced, on a waist line, sleeves, collars, etc., have no gap (of which a 1/4" is standard if you asked ANY tailor) preventing the button to be closed. I recently took in multiple shirts and pants to have buttons fixed, and every single one of them have to be re-done. I will have to take them somewhere else. The Cleaners is a good spot for convenient dry cleaning, but you can't use them for full-service. If you need anything besides dry cleaning, such as button replacement, then you will have to go to another provider. read more

I took it to The Cleaners. I got great results. My French Connection merino wool trench coat that had purple dye on a cuff and a total shit show on an elbow came back looking brand new. I brought them my Pascha & Jo lambskin shearling winter coat because it looked like it survived the apocalypse by a single thread. They have a vendor outside of the state that they've been working with forever. The coat came back ahead of schedule, below estimated cost and looking mighty fabulous. Not happy with my recent experience getting my wedding dress cleaned. I dropped it off on November 24th, was told I'd have it by December 31st, and didn't get a call until the night of January 3rd. No updates from the company about it being late. When I went to pick it up, parts of the dress were not clean. It had a sign on it from whoever they sub-contract with for their wedding dresses that some of the stains were set in. Since the stains in my dress were all literally just dirt and dust, I find it difficult to believe that the amount of dirt still left on my dress was all set in. It looks like the bottom edge of the dress wasn't touched at all. I was offered being able to send it back, but the cleaners had told them they might not be able to get the stains out without ripping the dress. Who wants a ripped dress?! The total came to $200 - on the high end for cleaning a not-very-expensive dress with absolutely no adornments or lace that might be tricky. Paying $200 for a job poorly done is outrageous. The only saving grace is that the woman who helped me with my pick-up was very nice. Otherwise, though, find another location for any expensive items. read more

brought in an expensive topper we purchased in London to see if they could remove a small amount of time ink stain about 1/4 size of a dime. they assured me it would not be an issue and that they had a special technique for stain removal. when the topper was returned to me the stain had smeared and was now the size of a grapefruit. the receptionist assured me they would resolve my concern and "make it right", and that they would likely refund and my money, and pay for the topper since the blanket was ruined. when I talked to the owner he refused to do anything and was very rude. read more

I waited a year before postiing this review. I'm m an old school professional guy who wears a pressed shirt and a tie to work like it's 1950. I go through a lot of shirts and my shirts go through a lot of cleaners. I like a place where I drop a bag of shirts, pick up 20 on a hanger, and I'm in and out in under 3 minutes. That's this place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! IT WILL COST YOU MORE IN THE LONG RUN!!! Clothing I took in was BRAND NEW. Clothing I got back looked as it had aged 3years in the 3 days I waited for them. My brand new hat only needed a spot cleaning and they decided to wash it completely & that caused it to deform. Truthfully the entire order looks like it was not very cared for. I called the fellow that I met at the shop to pick up my clothing and expressed that my hat was deformed and covered In lint and pet hair & that I have not yet looked at the other pieces but soon I will and assume all will be well because it all was pretty basic stuff. He said that I can bring it in and "hopefully move forward" and so I said I will be leaving a review. This is very triggering. I'm not sure why being my 1st time using this shop turned into a very depressing experience. My shorts are wrinkled and there's lint on every piece of clothing. My shirts look as if someone decided to dry the back of their neck with it for a week straight. Honestly My washing machine does a better job at cleaning my clothing. I still have the spots on my clothing that they should've easily removed and obviously didn't need special attention. But maybe the person cleaning my clothes felt like taking it easy that day or maybe they just didn't like my clothing ‍ but throughout all of this I must laugh because I realized one thing; this world is getting uglier by the second & I'm still handsome as ever lol I left the man a $20 tip on top of the $100 fee to be disappointed in the process. I told him once I called a 2nd time that I will be leaving a review. He said he can give me owners info and I mentioned that I feel that he should arrange all that because I didn't plan for this. So! I Hope you decide not to go to this place after reading my review. My shorts are $60 a piece and I have 5 shorts that returned tattered.... That's 5 out of 15 pieces of clothing. Do the math. He kept mentioning the extreme amounts of natural plausible causes to why my clothes turned out the way they did. OR I can try to take them BACK to the RETAIL store I bought them from and say I'm not happy with them and get a refund. This review is for tailoring only, they charge $20 minimum regardless of the fix. One fix I was able to get at another tailor for $5 cash. Do not use this business for tailoring. All my past/cleaner tailor experiences you were able to discuss the solution with the tailor. This not the case here: they send the garments to a third party. I received two pieces of clothing back where the sleeves are too tight and too short; the garments don't fit. I spoke with another tailor and there are possible fixes for the shortened cuffs but the sleeves are screwed up. They were taken in too much. Nothing I would have agreed to if their plan was discussed with me, which every other tailor has done. Whatever tailoring business this cleaner uses, it's a terrible one. read more

I came to the cleaners a few months ago to have the insole repaired on two shoes and to have a pair of suede shoes cleaned.. the staff were very kind but unfortunately I wasn't satisfied with any of the finished products. The insoles of one pair didn't match and the other has a material so slippery on it now that my foot slides right through the toe hole. And as for the "cleaning", I paid $10 for my shoes to look exactly the same as when I dropped them off. I brought one pair of the boots back to have them fixed, but I am still not 100% satisfied with the outcome. read more

It might not be the cheapest spot in town, but they charge a great price for routine laundry up to high-end jobs. I would trust this staff with any garment or item, including some zipper repairs and leather fixes I have needed done. I love the high-tech model with email notification when your job is done, and they almost always beat their time estimates anyway. The price is right, and the staff is nice. Almost all of what I took in for my first order was treated well, and properly cleaned. There was a piece of a new linen set that I took in that was brand new/had never been used. I just wanted the set cleaned before use. When I got it back, it looked like it had. been dragged on a cart-wheel; it was soiled and tattered. The owner offered to clean it again if I brought it in, which is reasonable, but I don't want it cleaned again. I want it to have come back to me without looking like it was dragged on the ground or caught in a bicycle chain. If I had had an established relationship with this place, I probably would have been more forgiving, but as this was my first time dealing with them, I am just going to find another cleaner. read more

I'll kick off 2017 with a review of The Cleaners. I did some research to find a dry cleaners that is reliable and does an amazing job with wedding dresses. My wedding dress is very expensive and was quite stained. Low and behold I stumbled upon The Cleaners. Before bringing in my garment, I called for a quote and they gave me a range that was within my budget. Also from other reviews, specifically the wedding dress reviews, I decided to make the drive to bring in my wedding dress. They still couldn't give me an actual price quote but they did give me a date that my wedding dress should be ready by. I knocked off one star because they said my wedding dress should have been cleaned in a month, but I didn't get my dress back until 3 months later. I called several times to check the status of my dress and they blamed the holidays for being behind. They also outsource to a different company to clean wedding dresses, which I didn't know. However, upon receiving my wedding dress, they did get majority of the stains out. They couldn't get all the stains out due to it setting but either way I was happy with the job that they did. read more

I brought my first order to them a couple of weeks ago and the price was reasonable. So, my wife asked who our new dry cleaner was, and I sent her here. Oops. Went to pick up items today and almost choked when they told me that their price for these items was more than double what our last place charged us. We'll be returning to our previous cleaner, because 5 bucks an item (see photo) is nonsense. They labeled items as heavy, or sweater, that our last place treated as normal and shirts. No thanks. Enter THE CLEANERS- These fine folks provided moth hole repair for a couple of expensive items that I did not want to throw out. They saved my Burberry scarf from London in 2014. Thanks guys! I brought in a dress with set in stains from almost a year ago. (Irresponsible, I know.) I really wanted to wear it to the ballet for my sister's birthday. I brought it in on a Wednesday and asked if it could be done by Saturday. He said he would do his best. I found, and chose this place to clean my LL Bean Down Comforter based on reviews here on Yelp. Brian and Harry were incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. My comforter was not supposed to be done until Tuesday, but I got an email from them on Saturday stating that it was done (that's a great system to have, by the way). This was my first time using them, so I called and paid for my bill over the phone and when I pulled up, Brian kindly brought my comforter and put it in my back seat, I didn't even have to leave my car! I just got home and unwrapped my comforter from the protective plastic they used, and it has NEVER, EVER been softer, or smelled better. I am absolutely floored by the service and treatment that I have received here, they have earned my business for as long as I live in the area.
