Highly dissatisfied!!!! They did not clean anything they were supposed to. Couldnt even move the 3x3 rug to sweep the floors. They didnt dust a single thing while they were here. Taking advantage of my disable mother. We hired them so she didnt have to worry about it as she has ALS and can't do anything anymore. How dare they. I took tons of pictures of all the dust. The sad thing is they only have 1/4 of the home they are supposed to clean and didnt even touch it. Someone needs to make this right. I cant believe how horrible they did. We've been using the Cleaning Authority for about two years now, and we love them! They "deep clean" one part of your house each time they come and that part rotates (bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, office), which means everything is super clean when you come home and you don't have to worry about, say, baseboards getting dirty by building up over time. We have them come by every two weeks which is perfect for us. The only thing I don't love is that we actually don't use our office, and would love for it to be skipped as part of the rotation, but that type of customization isn't offered. TCA has been cleaning my house every month for the past 14 months, and I'm having them come clean it bi-weekly now that my house is up for sale. These guys are great! Greg is communicative and confirms each clean ahead of time. The teams are different each time, but we have requested repeats when a team has done a bang-up job (most recently we had a pair who not only did a great clean, but were also great with our cats- an added bonus!). They're very clear about what areas of the house get a light clean, and what get a deeper clean (they follow a rotation schedule). Unlike Molly Maid, who I had before, I can use an autopay feature with TCA, which means no more lost checks or having to audit payments on my end....which is a huge relief! They're also cheaper than other cleaning services, for just as good of a job. I've had times where I requested something extra (like dusting a wall in my kitchen which attracts cat hair like crazy) and they've always been happy to oblige. Prior to COVID-19 forcing me to work from home, my days where I could be here to let them in (and babysit the cats during the cleaning) were wonky, but they've accommodated every last-minute schedule shift I've requested. Now we're in a pandemic, and they're following protocol with masks and social distancing every single time. I got a flyer in the mail. I really liked the one brother Kevin. He showed up and was extremely professional and thoughtful in his approach. The other brother Greg whom you have to schedule through, did not understand I would be out of town and was open to rescheduling. **ALL QUOTES COPIED WORD FOR WORD FROM THE EMAIL EXCHANGE ** I made this request :"Hi, That works fine, Thank you! Nov. 19th is great and can we move the next one be  the 26th or the 10th? We are unavailable the week of the 3rd." I have had a great experience with the Cleaning Authority from day 1 and been using their service for a few months. One of the owners came out to give me an estimate and followed up within a day by email. Communication has been great and they call to confirm the day before even though I am on a regular schedule. The cleaners do a good job and are professional and friendly. I appreciate the areas of focus that rotate with each visit. Yesterday we had Ashley, Sophia and Victoria that did our house, and they did a fabulous job! I look forward to their visits and LOVE coming home to a clean house when I know they have been there. I can only say good things about them and can only guess that previous poor reviews were under different management or ownership. Do not hire this company. The owner, Kevin Andal, is unprofessional and passive-aggressive. The cleaning crew that he sent out on the 27th of June did a very poor job, including not even touching one bathroom. There were many basic things that were not done - the blinds, cobwebs, ceiling fans, baseboards, proper wiping down of sinks and counters. The initial first two visits are intended to be "deep clean" services and you are charged extra for this. The three girls were here for a little over an hour, which is quick for a deep cleaning session, even when a house is not that dirty. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect that "professional" cleaners would do a better job than I would, and provide the services that are listed on their company's pamphlet. They do not provide a "complete, top-to-bottom clean," "clean the corners other companies cut," or guarantee satisfaction. Save your money and hire a company who actually provides what is promised, whose owner calls back - in a timely manner, instead of 2.5 weeks after the complaint and after a second phone call - with the intention of resolving the customer's concerns. There was no apology given, he was evasive from the beginning, rude in how he spoke to me, and I had to push for some kind of compensation. I do not recommend this company. read more

I've never had anyone cleaning my home before but with a new baby, a preschooler and two tired working parents we decided to give it a try. We have them come once a month and I feel like a guilty slob just before they come but the place looks amazing every time. It has been about 6 months and the stress relief is worth way more than the reasonable fee they charge. I appreciate the work they've done and their communication (with scheduling) so much. Their approach is to have focus areas that rotate and it seems to work pretty well. If you're on the fence about getting some help give it a try. read more

It's taken me awhile to write this review because I couldn't decide whether I wanted to take the Cleaning Authority to small claims court. We decided against it - waste of time for the amount of money involved. My experience with the Cleaning Authority over the past year has been mediocre to below average. Generally, the ladies cleaned our apartment decently - nothing special. There have been a few bumps - they broke a glass light shield - I had to get it replaced. On my 2nd to last cleaning, one of the ladies lost one of my earrings (she accidentally swept it on the floor and it must have been vacuumed up). I did appreciate that she told me that she couldn't find it, but the owner - Anne Underwood - gave me trouble about getting it replaced, and wouldn't issue a check for the $40 - only applied it to my account. In general, the ladies who came to clean were really nice and tried to do a good job. However, for my last cleaning, one of the ladies cut her finger (no idea how) - I was there, and I gave her a band-aid and Neosporin for her finger. I assumed that she would have cleaned up any blood before leaving - unfortunately that was not the case. There was blood left on walls and a big streak of blood on the front door of the apartment. I knew the ladies had to have seen it - they locked the door when they left! There were also streaks of blood in the hallway and bathroom walls, for a total of 4 smears of blood (I have pics of the blood smears - it's ridiculous). Later - that night, when I was trying to find my cosmetics, I realized that one of my small jars was missing. I do not believe that it was stolen - I think more likely that one of the ladies mistakenly threw it away (it was a very small jar - and very light since it was half-empty). However, since it cost $148, I asked that Anne waive the cost of the cleaning because of the blood streaks, and that she pay me for half of the cost of the cosmetic. After refusing to reimburse me for the lost cosmetic, she subsequently ignored the following emails sent from me and my husband. In conclusion, we had a really terrible experience with the Cleaning Authority. In general, the ladies did an okay job - it was dealing with the management when even little things went wrong that was the huge pain. I really felt like Anne Underwood was trying to cheat me. It made me think that this type of thing happened quite often since she refused to take responsibility - or even to respond to my emails! - for any of the things that happened in my apartment - the blood, the broken light, the lost earring, and the lost cosmetic. If anyone has had a great experience with another cleaning service in the area, I'm all ears. I've not been able to find one that I can trust! read more

Long post but if you are considering using this company... please read!!! If I could give zero I would! When I walked in the door after work, knowing the cleaners had been there all day, I was excited to walk in and see a clean house, for it to smell fresh and to sparkle! I wanted to be grateful that I made the right choice in hiring this service, especially after we had been wanting to do this for years, two parents working full time, plus two special needs kids, we needed the break and knew this was something that would greatly help our family. Boy was I disappointed! Bottom line, if you want lazy, slow workers who charge by the hour, who need to be shown how to clean and who think that a mediocre job is a job well done then this is your cleaning crew!! After 6 hours of the most woeful service, I straight out asked them to leave! not only were they wasting our time, we could not afford to pay what was going to be a well over $600 Bill for a clean. Not to mention by this stage the house barely looked touched! (Please note that this is for the initial clean, they always take longer and cost more, in our initial in home visit including walk around they quoted us 3-4 hrs) 6 hrs later and so much had still not been done... it was a total joke! The gave us some hope as they wanted to make it right. The next day they sent out a second crew of cleaners to finish what the other crew started! However they cleaned the same things that were done on the first visit, the company had forgotten to pass on any form of a work order and they thought they were out here for the standard 1.5hr maintenance clean!! The floors had still not been mopped, the carpets were vacuumed apparently by a blind person (see below pic, they had just told me they were finished up stairs, this is what I found in the kids toy room), the trim, kitchen cabinets, stove front and the list goes on had not been cleaned! Plus all my decor had been changed around, can you not dust and just put it back? Really it is disrespectful to redecorate! Did I mention the part where my husband had to show them how to clean a shower screen! There was just so much "wrong" about our whole experience! Also, the cleaning products they used where in blank bottles, it's there "own product". Leaves a sticky residue over everything as if they were using a watered down dawn solution. There was no chemical smell which was great, but a hint of lemon or something to say clean would be nice! Oh did I mention I found all my cleaning products out in the bathrooms, so much for providing their own! At the end of the day they cut our bill in half to just over $300 and apologised for the terrible service, we had their quality person come out and inspect twice during the cleans, we could tell she was not happy with the job however she did not stick around to see that the job was done properly either time! They can not clean, the communication was terrible between staff, it was a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY, and totally stressful!! Needless to say we asked for our key back! read more

I got a flyer in the mail and decided to try out TCA bellevue. The initial deep clean was pretty good, but the first routine clean was a joke. I could've done better in 2 hours myself. They leave off weird stuff-- like not windexing kid prints off windows or only wiping down 1/2 the counter. I decided to let them have one more try after giving some feedback to the owners. The second routine cleaning was even less useful. The whole downstairs looked untouched, dining table still sticky. We're a tidy family that just needs some TLC to get rid of kid stickiness etc, but this service was NOT worth it at all. read more

I have been a Cleaning Authority Bellevue client for 10 years. Like other posters, my experience for the first few years was positive and consistent. Then the franchise changed owners, and things went downhill. Specifically, over the last year, the crew has shown up at their confirmed time slot maybe 50% of the time. 25% they are hours late. 25% they don't show up at all and I get a "we're so sorry, can we reschedule for Saturday" call from the office. After getting three of these calls in a row, including on a day when I had guests arriving from out of town, I finally gave up and canceled. I have to assume that they aren't paying their employees well, which is surprising given how much they charged me. read more

Cleaning Authority cleaned my home in Magnolia for four years, and always did a good, consistent job. The same people came each week and were always timely in arriving or let us know ahead if they were going to be delayed. I recently sold that home and purchased a home in Kirkland, continuing to use Cleaning Authority based on the east side. What a difference in the quality of cleaning and professionalism in managing the employees! With a set routine in place, the cleaning crew consistently neglected the detail jobs, I.e. thorough dusting, vacuuming under furniture as requested, and marginal cleaning of shower/sink areas. Each visit was with different people, even though I requested the same group each time. There were countless late arrivals, often many hours late, and little to no notice of the delay. My first experience with a cleaning service. My first deep clean I was so pleased... even though they were 1.5 hours late. Subsequent cleans got more and more sloppy. When they "deep cleaned" the bedrooms, I found that my dressers had dust on them and my bed wasn't made. When they "deep cleaned" the bathrooms, there was dirt pushed up against the baseboards and they hadn't touched the windowsills. They refused to clean with my dogs in the house, so we kept them in the backyard. Once my dog jumped the fence and came to the front door (SUPER friendly, wondering what was up with all the trash on her porch!) And the ladies FREAKED and packed up their stuff and left without saying anything to us, halfway through a clean, but charged us for the whole clean. Another time they packed up all of the garbage and put it in our garbags bins but didnt cinch up the bags, and garbed spilled all over our driveway that I had to clean up. I filled out the ratings they provided after each clean with these specifics and never heard back. I finally called and canceled today.... 5 cleans too late! read more

I never had an issue with the cleaning itself, the girls were always nice, respectful, and did their job well. The issue has always been the communication with the office. This last interaction was the worst one yet! Especially this new manager Trevor. It started when I called them to reschedule a cleaning because we were traveling for a week. They did not answer my call, so I emailed them to tell them I would like to skip a cleaning and continue our "every other week" cleaning starting the Friday we come back from our vacation. I was VERY clear in my email and their reply was clear that they could accommodate my request. On Thursday before the Friday they were supposed to come, I called them JUST IN CASE to check what time they would be coming, and turns out we were not even on the schedule! Thankfully the lady I spoke with was nice, apologetic, and figured out how to schedule the cleaning for the next day. However, I also figured out that the girls DID show up when we were on vacation, clearly could not get in, and had to leave! This past Friday the girls also did not show up. I called the office at 4:44, but apparently they close before that despite the fact that the cleaning team usually arrives to clean at 3 or 4 pm. So I sent an email asking why the girls did not come and how soon can I get a team out? It was quiet an inconvenience since I was expecting guests that Saturday night. I only got a reply on Monday, by email, saying that they are fully booked and will not be able to accommodate me till Friday. I was extremely upset and fed up at this point. They did not even offer a discount or a real apology. They blamed it on the snow storm??? what does that have anything to do with it. The icing on the cake though, is after I mentioned that this is how they will lose loyal customers like me that have been with them for over a year, I get an email saying this: "This is Trevor, After looking over your emails and discussing them with my supervisor and owner, we have decided it would be best to part ways. We have asked for patience during this time of transition in our office, and I completely understand if your patience has run out. Another company will most likely be better able to accommodate your needs at this time. I wish you the best of luck in looking for another service. " NOT EVEN THE DECENCY TO CALL! I have regular bi-weekly cleaning. Multiple times they screwed up on the cleaning schedule where the cleaning ladies did not show up when they are suppose to. Sometimes more than 90 minutes late! The cleaning crew speaks little to no english so its hard to communicate with them. They don't put things back to where it belongs after cleaning. I ended up have to spend at least half hour everytime AFTER they are done cleaning my house. I'm so done w/ them. read more

I had to contact the Better Business Bureau to get money back from these guys. They moved funiture around without my permission and damanged the floors. They also unplugged my computer and moved it. They plugged it into the same outlet as the cat fountain. They took hairclips and tied up the curtains with them. So obviously no cleaning got done and I gave them a few days to remedy it then they said I was lying. They had sent someone out to see my house before to give me a quote so they knew what it looked like and I sent pictures. Evententually I got my money back. read more

This Redmond Cleaning Authority franchise is under new ownership and the quality control is awesome! Lauren, the owner, runs a tight ship. She grew up in the cleaning business and originally worked for her mother who owns one of the Seattle franchises. Lauren is very professional and visited our house herself to give the bid. The prices for twice-monthly cleaning are competitive and the cleaners are diligent and efficient. They have a great rotation checklist that they follow so that even though they clean everything each time, one part of your house also gets special detail attention. Their vacuums work great and the house always smells fresh when they leave. Although they use environmentally sensitive products, they also use Comet in our house, which we need and I appreciate. Our 30 year old bathroom tile and grout look fantastic. I was referred to TCA by a colleague who uses the Snoqualmie Valley franchise and also loves it. read more

I'd like to echo my wife's sentiments below regarding the cleaning authority. For the first couple of cleanings, the service was adequate, and the staff was friendly and responsive. Where we ran into real problems was in getting any response from the management team about our grievances on subsequent cleanings. 2 lost items in addition to the blood smeared by the staff in several locations should have been enough to get the attention of management. But after numerous unanswered emails and voicemails, I was forced to conclude that they simply didn't care about customer service. I understand that things can go wrong at times during cleanings, but the complete lack of responsiveness was really shocking. Not what I would expect from a service business... read more
