Enlisted the help of A&K House Cleaning for a move-out on a 3,760 square foot home. I appreciated the fact I was able to book them with short notice and the 2 cleaners were able to finish the work in 1 day versus the initially quoted 2 days. Communication was excellent and the pricing while on the higher end was clear and transparent. I was extremely happy with how sparkly the bathrooms were and how well the shower door tracks were cleaned. I also appreciate the close attention to smudges on the walls and staining on an old sink in the laundry room. The overall work was good but if I had to nitpick they could've done a more thorough job on the harder to see areas such as the kitchen baseboards and the window tracks (closed position) and the dusting of the blinds. Upon giving feedback, the impressively hands-on owner, offered to send a cleaning professional over to rectify the overlooked areas and offered his sincere apologies. Sadly, in the rush of moving out didn't get photos of what they did well. Would still hire them again but would just pay closer attention to the completed job. I will admit it's reassuring to know they are quick to remedy the situation. read more

The appliances were spotless inside and out, all the floors and wallboards done, ditto with the two bathrooms (also sanitized) and everything else! We had a move-out and move-in cleaning done at two houses. The scheduling, booking and customer service was some of the best that I've seen from contractors so kudos to Oleg for being awesome to work with. I did find that a few obvious spots were missed during both cleanings (B+ grade cleaning), but they made it right with a partial refund/credit for one house and had their supervisor come out to do the fix work the next day on the other house. The bathrooms and kitchens look stellar, it's the small stuff like baseboards, spots on walls, vent registers, light switch covers, and cobwebs that were overlooked in some spots. Since using A&K I can do things I never could before. Not with 'Dana's' who made me 'declutter' and fill out a detailed list each time; not with 'Seattle Green Cleaners' who charges twice as much and cleans half as well, and whose large teams never could find the key right where it always has been for 24 years. Unless I was home they would report being locked out and leave, charging me the full amount despite my protest. (This was the last straw. SGC owner was supposed to call about this after her Asian vacation a year ago but blithely charged me instead and sends me spam.) A&K Cleaning is one of those all-too-rare now CAN-do companies. So far: from first contact, return my calls right away and make setting up service a dream; give me any day and time I need; change my Thursday to Tuesday when my Thanksgiving houseful arrives; clean my best friend's new liveaboard boat at Shilshole--not their niche or normal area of service--and wow him too. Things they do without asking: arrive on time and act like cleaning professionals, not entitled ones who you kick yourself for tipping too much later; clean so beautifully your home feels cleaner than it ever was before; make me say ahhhh, not arghh. The best part is I don't have to deal with Brand X Cleaners ever again (though maybe she just isn't back from another vacation yet and may call someday. It has only been a year after all.) We have been using A&K for 2 years or so. We absolutely LOVE how professional, efficient and personal our housekeeping professionals are. We've had the same team of 2 each time and we look forward to having them come. We also have 2 dogs and they talk to our dogs in their kennels while they clean.
