Very high price, 3 friendly cleaners but did not do a good job, here for less than an hour, bathroom mirrors cleaned only part way, shower doors left with water spots, floors not properly cleaned, my first cleaning, then I cancelled further visits and they charged my credit card $150. to cancel! Pretty much useless. Paid $280 for them to come in and essentially clean the inside of my fridge? I mean come on what a joke. I hired them to do the kitchen, bathroom, and living area and they did none of these things! I had to come back through and scrub stuff off the walls of the bathroom that didn't take long at all with a clorox wipe so this company clearly didn't even attempt to put it any effort. I'll add a picture of tbe top of the fridge, they couldn't reach the back without a stool im guessing, so they just left it! Definitely never using them again and neither should you. read more

I really wished I checked Yelp first before I signed up for service with these people. The cleaning was good but way overpriced. I have a little over 1000 sq feet and it's just me living here and I paid over $400 for the "initial" clean and then $250 to have two people clean for about 90 minutes. To add insult to injury, they charged me a $150 cancellation fees. These people are all about price gouging and fees. Find a different cleaning company. read more

Used Cleaning Authority for two months now and we are very happy. The cleaning crew arrives on time, knows what to do, and are careful with our property. Cleaning Authority have done an excellent job cleaning and handled any customer service issues in a prompt and professional manner. They have a very basic app that provides you with cleaning info and use an automated billing system so that's convenient too. They are also willing to work in Dry Creek Ranch/Hidden Springs area unlike other companies that think it's too far away. read more

I've been a client with The Cleaning Authority in Boise for 14 months. The quality of my monthly cleanings was mediocre, as they only do focused areas each month. We asked that the master closet be vacuumed monthly, and it was neglected at least 3 times. They offered to come back just to vacuum the closet each time, however we were unable to do this due to work. Another time when leaving, it was seen on our Ring camera one of them pushed a button on the keypad to lock it (even though we told them it must be locked from the knob) she said to her colleague "did that lock?". Without even verifying the keypad button did NOT lock the door, they still left our premises unlocked. At the end of our last cleaning, one of them realized she left her tablet inside the house. I received a call from Melissa about it and she asked if there was a garage code or a window where they can re-enter. I told her we do not give out our garage code for safety. Since I was at work with no flexibility to leave, I called my husband to see if he was able to go home in midday to get their tablet. He was able to return home, however it was one half hour away from where he was at. Despite the inconveniences mentioned above, it wasn't until after our February 2024 cleaning we decided to discontinue services. My husband had two $1 bills on his nightstand and when he came home, he noticed that one of the bills was missing. He asked all the kids if they took or moved it and none of them did. I left a message about this on the 'MyTCA' App to let them know about the missing bill. Kara called me the next morning saying she would interview both cleaning staff separately to determine if either might have taken it. She later informed me that neither of them admitted to taking the bill and without evidence, there is nothing else she can do, but offered to not have the same two staff members clean our home again. I thanked her for her due diligence on the investigative process and understood her decision of not terminating the associated colleagues based on the lack of evidence but could only wonder if any disciplinary action was even executed to potentially prevent something like this from happening to another household. It wasn't even the value of the dollar that concerned me, but rather the principle of the matter that theft was believed to have occurred in my home. I can appreciate the offer of restricting the associated staff from future cleanings in my home but cannot get past the fact that despite no evidence of theft by their cleaning staff, we were still inexplicably missing something from our house after they have been in it. For a company who claims to be fully bonded and insured, there was initially NO offer or attempt made to replace the missing dollar in good faith by the company, not even for customer satisfaction above all else. We stand firm with our decision of discontinuing services with The Cleaning Authority, and feel they failed to fully rectify the situation. Only after they received my email reply to the reason for discontinuing our cleaning services, Kara said they did not offer to replace the dollar because she felt that it could be seen as an admission to guilt and followed that by saying "to clear the air we would be happy to refund you the $1 as a gesture". Again, it wasn't about the missing dollar bill, it was about customer satisfaction, which ultimately cost them losing the trust and business of a customer. I question the integrity of those they employ despite their claim of running background checks on all of their employees, and also question the quality of leadership with the company. When I mentioned that I would be sharing my feedback on public forums, Kara asked me not to post negative feedback as she says it could be detrimental to their small business, and they believe that public forums may not accurately reflect the entirety of the situation. I chose to share my experience as objectively as possible and to caution others who might experience the same or similar adverse outcomes that we had with The Cleaning Authority. read more

Cleaning authority has cleaned my home for almost ten years now. They have done an excellent job, even getting clean area of my jetted tub that other cleaners hadn't been able to clean. The management was responsive when I asked for a timing change. Lorena and Donna are amazing, fast and good. Arrived promptly, spent the whole time here working, and my home was spotless when they left. They got my appliances so clean that they looked brand new in the kitchen. It did take a little while to do it all, but again, my husband and I were home the whole time and could see they were all working hard. I was especially concerned about the framed pictures on one wall; I have a lot of them and they're a bit prone to falling if jostled too much. But these ladies got them cleaned without any mishap. We're totally happy with this service and will definitely continue to use them. With my husband and I both physically limited and working long hours, we need the extra help to get that deep cleaning done. I'm just sorry I waited so long to call them in. The Cleaning Authority has been cleaning my house since 2011. Their people have worked efficiently and have performed well except for 1 or 2 people over this time. I have directions on file on what not to clean and each and every time someone new comes, it is checked and followed. I have been able to have Brandie and Nicole steadily return which helps since they know the routine. read more

With two kids, two dogs and both of us working full time the simple things to clean were starting to get bad. We tried to clean on the weekend, but we wanted to be out with our dogs and kids having fun. I finally broke down and said let's do it. We called TCA, Everything seemed reasonable in the flyer so we went for it. Initial clean took three crews, but when they left...wow! We have the weekly service and every Thursday when we get home it is such a huge relief when we walk in the door. The team has been great, worked around us when we have been home with sick kids, notified us when they broke a small toy and credited us a small amount to help cover the cost. My MIL has been getting her house cleaned once every two weeks for 6+ years. For many of those, she had no problems at all. A few years ago I moved in with her to help out. The cleaning staff has changed- we do miss our girls that used to come because they were awesome. The new cleaning staff is a bit clumsy but are really nice but MAN management has gotten so rude. They changed the time our house got cleaned without giving us notice or an option- with handicapped people staying here it's a hassle arranging for the house to be empty. We wouldn't mind but they keep showing up at random times. They keep just skipping the areas they are supposed to be cleaning. They've stopped cleaning basic things altogether. Management has been unhelpful and rude. The cleaning girls aren't getting the info about our house- the supervisor has been nothing but rude to us and now calls aren't getting returned. I feel bad because the girls who actually clean are super nice, but service has plummeted. Avoid this service like the plague. They treat their clients horribly. We will be looking for a new one. read more

After having this company clean my home for over a year, I am discontinuing service. I have remote-controlled blinds in my home and their employee broke them a couple months ago. The replacement cost for the blinds was several hundred dollars. The company would only give me a free clean (about $100). I was assured they would note my account to not clean these blinds again so they wouldn't get damaged again. I came home to find them damaged again after the cleaning crew came. The company claimed their employee didn't break them and would give me a $20 credit. No one else was in my home that day. Very poor customer service! Moving on to a new cleaning company. read more

Requested a 3 hour cleaning of my small home. Staff had issues accessing the house (called and said the door was locked, but it wasn't). They were late getting started, thus the quality of the clean suffered since they were in a hurry. It probably would have been better to just re-schedule. Many details missed, kitchen appliance broken (company ended up reimbursing me to pay for item), blinds broken (did not replace, and they sent me info showing that this was an excluded item that would be covered), and while they were dusting, they hit the thermostat and the heat was all the way up and turned on full blast. Again...one of those things that happens when you're in a hurry. Overall, it was difficult to enjoy the 'good' parts, since there were damages done to my home. House cleaning for me is a luxury, kind of like a day at the spa. When it doesn't go well, it's really a disappointment. The company was quick to respond and did reimburse me for the kitchen appliance that was damaged. I had to purchase a whole new window blind, since that could not be fixed. I most likely would not use this company again in the future, because I think they are over-booked, and their cleaning staff can't take the time to really clean. They are rushing, and end up breaking and doing the job halfway. read more

I was being generous with a 1 star. We were happy with the first initial deep clean but the second initial deep clean of the living areas and bathrooms wouldn't even qualify as a surface clean. They didn't mop, dust the blinds or the shelves and fireplace in living room. When I called to voice my concern they weren't sympathetic or apologetic. Send another crew to do a half ass job a couple days later. No offer to make things right. We have canceled our service and would NOT recommend. They didn't clean as advertised (they give you a whole pamphlet of what is done at each cleaning) and have very poor customer service. Also, even the local number is routed through the national call center with a promise someone will call you back shortly. My husband didn't receive a call for 4 days after calling 3 times. read more

Very poor cleaning job. The only way we could tell the Cleaning Authority had been at our house was the carpet had been vacuumed. When we cancelled service, we were charged an additional amount in order to cancel. We paid $380 for a single cleaning job and it was, by far, the worst (and most expensive) in over twelve years of using house cleaning services. I highly recommend avoiding this company. read more

Huge waste of $500! Unfortunately this is my first time writing a bad review online... They work by the hour and not by the job which means they will go slow (not thorough) and then ask you to buy more time. My 2,200 house is an 8/10 for regular cleanliness with 2 people and a medium dog. After 4.5 hours, the 2 cleaners had only "completed" the kitchen, the master bathroom, the rarely used guest bathroom, and the rarely used half bathroom downstairs. They didn't clean any of the 25 windows on the proposal, didn't wipe windowsills, didn't mop, didn't clean out the drawers (not requested), and it still took them 9 man hours. With 30 min remaining, the manager called to see if I wanted to pay for more time. They hadn't even stepped foot in the 3 bedrooms, office, dining room, or living room (basically 2/3 of the house). My husband and I can clean better in 2 hours than they do in 5-6 hours. They said that the house looked clean when they left, yes because it started pretty clean. We sent them pictures that night of a fraction of the things they missed and they offered to come back for more money... but $500 already... read more

I am a former TCA customer, and this review is about their great customer service. Unfortunately, I cannot afford professional cleaning right now, but, as long as we were with them, TCA was always attentive to what we had to say and they fought hard to make sure that we were satisfied with them.
