We have had The Cleaning Authority now for a few months. Never had an issue, they are timely, efficient and very nice. The team who comes to clean isn't always the same but the service is ALWAYS on par. The girls interact with the family, the pets and they appear to enjoy what they are doing. read more

I've used the Cleaning Authority in the past at different locations. I have to say that the Daytona Beach/Ormond Beach location is absolutely the worst. I hired The Cleaning Authority to do a "deep clean" as I am putting my house on the market. I requested that the inside of my refrigerator and the inside of my oven be cleaned as well. They charge me $100 per hour and it took them three hours. What I was left with was a house that was so dirty I had to go back and re-clean it before I could schedule an open house. Instead of cleaning the inside of my freezer thoroughly they wiped down a few shelves and just rearranged the food to hide the worst places on the worst shelves. Also, cleaned that myself. The oven was a joke. I had her go back and clean more of the grime out of my oven and it still looks nasty. Mind you, I self cleaned my oven days before they arrived. The floors were filthy, including the bathroom floors. I noticed several spots that were there prior to them showing up. The spots were still there when they left so I re-moped them and sent a picture of the wet pad that was just thick with brown dirt. I also needed to go back and actually dust my furniture. They used a feather duster to knock some of the dust off. To me that is not a deep CLEAN. When I went back to wipe and polish each piece, the rag was filthy. I contacted them and sent them pictures and the only response I received a WEEK later was, "Sorry, I guess they made a 'mistake'. MISTAKE? If I wasn't so angry and disappointed I would've laughed at that remark. Just try to get ahold of anybody locally to answer questions or raise concerns with. That's nearly impossible, they don't respond and they don't answer the phone. If they do get back to you they have a lame excuse via text. The only mistake that was made was hiring them in the first place because it turned out to be a $300 mistake. I still can't believe that I spent $300 for them to vacuum my floors and wipe down my counters. I do that myself each week. Moving while selling a house is stressful on its own without having to deal with dishonest vendors. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Terrible service. Barely wiped down the counters, never moved the things on the surfaces, they just went around them. Dining room table still had sticky stuff on it after they supposedly cleaned it. They hardly used any solutions to clean surfaces. Never saw them even spray their rags with solutions. How is my house supposed to get sanitized? Shower walls grime kept getting worse as they didn't scrub them. They wiped the inside of the toilet bowls with the microfiber cleaning cloths! Did they also use those cloths on everything else? We didn't see a lot of rags being used. Calls to supervisor or management were never returned, but when I called the last time they asked if I called in the complaints? You can complain to the person answering the phone but it doesn't go anywhere. They say they will come out to make things right but I take off work to be there, I don't have time to do it a second time. I just wanted them to do it right the first time. There were too many issues with poor work to list here. On the surface it looks clean but I spilled a little water on the bathroom counter and wiped it up. My counter was cleaner after wiping the water up! There was some kind of residue on the rest of the counter. I shutter to think it was residue from the The rags used to wipe the toilet! Ugh. I had used this service a several years ago and I was very satisfied with their service. Due to financial issues we had to cancel the service. I reached out a couple of weeks ago to start the service again. I setup an estimate for a recurring service and no one showed up at the selected date and time. I figured it was a glitch between the main service and the local franchise. I setup a second service for today. I called this morning to verify my estimate was scheduled and it was for 10am - great! 10am - no one. I called at 10:15am and I was told they left a message for the local service because they weren't answering. It's now 10:45 and no one has arrived, no communication, nothing. I have called and the customer zero rep while they took care of me and cancelled the appointment, did very little to keep my busy. I guess they're doing well enough they don't want any new customers. Do not call if you're a new customer in the Central Florida area, they don't need the business. read more

I want to like this place, the owner is very nice but she is having trouble keeping things together since taking over last year. There is a lot of turnover with the staff and so I find myself with a new crew every few months. There are also a lot of scheduling issues. Although I asked to have the same window each day I was told that is not possible. Instead the owner personally texts me the evening prior to my cleaning date with an expected arrival time. Depending on who is on schedule that day my house might look great one day or just ok another. The pricing is pretty good and that's been one reason I haven't hanged, but I guess you get what you pay for. read more

Very unhappy with this service. Cleaned twice and i had to re- clean after and made very little attempt to correct their issues with my satisfaction. I received a message from the owner stating they do not see that i was a customer- and maybe it was a different location but i can find no other location. I contact ed them from a flyer sent to my home. I spoke with a Joanne that said she was a new owner. If you have better contact information for the right location i will review them. read more

The Cleaning Authority talks a good game, but falls short on delivery. Their sales pitch was impressive and they certainly have a "system" in place for cleaning, the problem is they don't train their team to make good, common-sense decisions about what's needed to actually keep the house clean. They cleaned our house nine time and we had nine different cleaning crews. That means they didn't know where the sheets where ... or which trash cans needed to be emptied ... or how we liked the bed to be made. If something was dirty and it wasn't on their system's schedule, they just skipped it so we would frequently come home to a dirty house that didn't smell clean and fresh. No supervisor every followed up to ask if we were pleased or not ... so we just cancelled the service. I can't recommend this company. Good concept. Poor execution. read more

They started off strong for the first several cleans. Then they apparently changed owners and it's been downhill ever since. For three cleans in a row, they neglected to vacuum the one rug in the entire house. We ended up having to make a special request to have the carpet vacuumed. This is accompanied by diminishing quality cleanings throughout the house. Our alarm system allows us to see when they come and go. On one occasion, our home was given a "thorough" cleaning in less than 60 minutes. We asked that our cleaning be done between 6:30AM and 4:30PM - a reasonable 10-hour window. This request has been repeatedly ignored despite multiple respectful requests. The owner always returns our calls and is always apologetic for mistakes. However, apologies no longer suffice when the business continues to provide declining service and a blatant disrespect for customers' reasonable and respectful requests. read more

I have used this company in Atlanta and Tampa with excellent results and have tried for several years in Orlando. But they just can't get staff to stay and get a consistent job done well. I am giving up- the team I have doesn't speak English so when I told them the linens in master didn't need to be changed they decided that meant don't clean the master bath. The kitchen was done poorly and I am tired of calling to complain. read more

I tried a different cleaning service and the people skipped some things that seemed obvious to me, like picture frames and door frames (and it was their initial "deep cleaning"). So I called Cleaning Authority instead. My team, Raquel and Yesica, is great. The whole business model makes sense, they have a list of the basic items and then they also do extra things in rotation. I get a printed list of the items they've done and I can check, but I don't need to. They know what they're doing and they do it well. My two favorite things are the quality of their work and the fact that they're working hard for their pride in quality. To top it off, they're friendly and communicate well. I recommend them and appreciate their skills and attitudes. read more
