I am not one to leave reviews but I figured this may be able to help someone else out. I signed up for the monthly service and was charged almost $250 for an initial "deep clean" yet the most basic things around the house weren't cleaned; my microwave, faucets, tables, shower walls, etc. hadn't been touched and were disgusting. I took pictures and sent them over to management. Their only solution was to send the crew back even though I explained that I had already cleaned those things myself (and if they didn't do it right the first time, why would I expect them to do it well again?). They refused to provide me with a partial refund saying that their satisfaction guarantee only covers a "reclean" which is absolute BS- I paid $250 under the agreement that it would be done right on the day the first time around. Hopefully this keeps someone from making the same mistake I did... The following is in response to the company's response to my original post: The items were not in poor condition or old; We are talking about newly installed faucets, microwave, a brand new table, shower tile, etc. When I first called to alert management, the customer service manager stated that she was "frankly embarrassed" by the job done. I am very pleased with my first part of the deep clean plan! I am sorry to see anyone give them bad reviews. They were on time, very courteous and did a great job. I have 3 dogs in a modern home, where I work from. I made myself and one dog scarce during the initial visit. The team arrived promptly at 9am....and left at 12pm! they did exactly what I needed them to do and exactly what they were supposed to ...according to their brochure! I was over charged for a full detail clean. The original estimate was $240 and I was billed $370. The actual clean done was a regular clean of value $150. Areas on floor not cleaned, fans, furniture not clean, blinds dirty, other areas included in detail not cleaned.When I contacted the office to notify them of the missing areas that would have been part of just regular clean, the owner offered me a $10 credit and said I will be charged for someone to come out and do the missed cleaning areas. WE WON'T USE THEM AGIAN... We had Cleaning Authority clean our empty condo to get ready to rent. The condo was just repainted with new carpet in both bed rooms and just needed kitchen and baths cleaned which weren't that bad to start with . They had to come back THREE times missing things like dirty microwave, tops of cabinet doors, shower still grimy , top of mirror, etc... Allison the owner charged $300 for first cleaning and $100 for second !! We said what about satisfaction guarantee. "She said she has to pay someone to return". So I said, "so there is none". Not worth small claim !! I work in the service industry and if a customer isn't satisfied, we go back and do it right and don't charge for it. read more

THE CLEANING AUTHORITY SENT AMATEURS AND CHARGED FOR A PROFESSIONAL CLEANING.  Although they state detail clean on the 1st two cleans, Simple tasks were not completed. The blinds were not dusted, ceiling fans were not dusted, rings under the shampoo bottles were not wiped, shower drain still dirty,, faucets not polished, A standing jewelry Box was not moved in order to sweep or mop behind it, the shower doors did not get any extra attention as stated, Hard water Deposits remained around the bathroom and Kitchen faucets, Dirty smudge marks were On the floors They even neglected to lift a rug to sweep or mop as there was sand present under the rug. So much for "EXTRA ATTENTION TO FLOORS", as they stated.  Wipe marks were present on a table where they clearly did a quick wipe to dust, yet  didn't wipe the entire table nor the photo frame on that table. BASICALLY EVERYTHING THEIR BROCHURE STATED WASNT DONE. A quick wipe down & wep mop at best!! I took a video And photos as soon as I got home and contacted them. I offered for them to come look right away And send someone out another day to correct the problem because I had a party planned the next day.  However, they insisted on coming out the next day which was very stressful having someone in the house while I was trying to prepare for the party. I had to leave before she was finished to run errands and when I returned she was gone but the house had nearly 100 flies inside. I was preparing Saint Patrick's Day dinner and the cabbage most likely attracted the flies but she must have had the door open for a period of time as she was packing her things and leaving /dumping the mop bucket?? Not only was my house still not clean but what an embarrassment to have a house full of flies when guests arrive and they are running around killing them. I was mortified. As it turned out the only thing she did was remop the floor and dust the blind.  I have contacted them since and their only solution was to refund $50. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT A CLEAN HOUSE, expect to be treated professionally and with respect, or expect basic customer service. I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere for your cleaning needs. They present relatively professional; however the ineffective and untimely communication is very problematic. The first clean was not done well whatsoever...bathroom counters not wiped at all, window sills not addressed and ceiling fans ignored. I was very pleased with how they resolved this problem and sent a crew back with supervisor. I was optimistic to have found a thorough, professional and overall Quality house cleaning company. I was dead wrong! My second clean, the crew was extremely late. They did communicate; however, I work from home and I was recovering from surgery and had coordinated my day around their arrival. I advised I would be recovering in one of the back bedrooms because I had originally made my day such that I was going to be gone during the clean.ing. They had to send another crew, so they were completely confused on which rooms they were to clean. They knocked on the bedroom door where I was resting and disrupted me several times even though I kept telling them I did not need that room cleaned and to please let me rest. The cleaning was marginal. For the third clean, I unfortunately had been hospitalized unexpectedly the night before and had to cancel. I appreciated that they understood. Via text communication I was told that they would reach out the following week to reschedule. I heard absolutely nothing. So, on May 15 I elected to cancel my services with this company. I had several texts back-and-forth explaining why I felt I needed to cancel which mainly lead to their lack of communication and follow up. Customer service is horrible! Fast forward to yesterday, June 1, I get a text stating that they will be at my house to clean today June 2. I responded with a text stating that I had canceled my services last month due to lack communication, no follow up and HORRIBLE customer service. I received two auto reply texts stating someone would be back with me soon. The texts arrived at 2:15 PM and 2:36 PM yesterday. I never heard back from anybody. This morning, concerned that a cleaning crew may show up at my house, I sent another text. In response to my text, I received rude texts and texts filled with excuses from one of the owners, Brent. I have been using The Cleaning Authority for a few months now and have been relatively happy with the service. I have found the communication to be good - they text a few days before to provide an arrival window. They provide a checklist of items that will be done during their cleaning and sometimes there are areas that are missed. Also, the cleaning crew is not always the same and that is disappointing, plus it is difficult to communicate with them because they do not speak English and I do not speak Spanish. The owners of this company are the most unprofessional people I have had the displeasure of working with. When Allison meets you for the first time she is very cordial and friendly and makes promises she does not have any intentions on keeping once you sign the paperwork. The first team they sent for my first deep clean that cost me almost $300 was a mess and did a horrible job. One did not speak English and the other one coughed all over me and my house and complained about cleaning houses. The "Deep Clean" was not done well and the house was still dirty. I called the office to express that I was not happy with the service and Brent Allison's husband came out with a new team to re-clean the house. Brent is the most infuriating man and has a horrible temper. I will not even get into what took place in my kitchen that morning.. But it was so bad that one of the ladies had to tell him he can not talk to people in the manner he was speaking to my husband. Good Lord.. The two ladies did do a good job and we decided to continue with them. We had six cleans today being our sixth and last. The ladies that cleaned our home were lovely but it is a big house a lot was missed every time. When I called to speak to Allison she said that everyone makes mistakes and I should not be expecting a "perfect clean" WHAT?? I should not expect to have a nice clean house with clean toilets, clean floors that do not have food on them anymore and window sills that do not have about an inch of dust on them after you have been here in my home SIX TIMES..The best part about this is.. Allison sat in my house this morning and told me that the two ladies that I treat with respect, offer them food water, coffee,soda and I joke around with are scared to come to my house because I am too demanding and my home is hostile. My Husband and I are the warmest kindest people you will ever meet so that is just a bunch of crap. After Allison left my house today I apologized to the two ladies that were cleaning and told them I am sorry if I ever made them feel uncomfortable and if they felt like this was a Hostile Home. The both looked at me likes I was insane and said they never ever said that and they feel badly that their boss threw them under the bus like that. They both hugged me several times.. If they were scared of me do you think they would hug me several times?? They told me that they would not drink coffee with me when they come in the mornings for a few minutes and joke around with me while they clean if it was such a hostile home... Allison and Brent are just bad business people in my opinion.. Paid for the first (and subsequently last) "deep" clean. The cleaning team did not make the bed, did not straighten up couch cushion and decorative throw blanket, did not wipe down the appliance handles, or empty the waste baskets. You can get better service someplace else. read more

Our experience with this franchisee of Cleaning Authority was awful!! I came home after the first cleaning and was very disappointed! Lights were left on, blinds were disheveled, mirrors were not cleaned, tables were not dusted. Our house is not dirty. We do not have pets and our children are grown and have their own homes. We just work a lot!! After 5 phone calls to the owner of this franchise, he finally called back. He stated that he was only one there and was slammed and my husband told him that really was not a good excuse. The owners response to new paying customers was "F... You" and hung up on us. We just started service with this company. Fair price for the amount of square footage to be cleaned. Two women showed up, a little later than expected, but showed up nonetheless. It took them a little over two hours to clean the house. Seemed a bit long but can you really get upset over a thorough cleaning job? Yea, I don't think so. They deep cleaned the bathrooms and the kitchen and did a good clean job in the common areas and bedrooms. Next visit the bedrooms and common areas will be deep cleaned. To be honest, I don't know that our house has ever been this clean since we moved in three years ago. We keep it well kept and clean enough for having two toddlers but these two did a great job and we found a really great value in this cleaning company. It's truly a shame others left such poor reviews, but we felt they deserve much more credit for their work. Happy customers and will recommend. read more

Not only do they not do what is in the initial agreement they do a poor job, they send different girls who don't know what they are doing each time and most of which don't speak English and worst of all today 200 WAS STOLEN FROM MY WALLET while I was in my pool and only they were in the house! The owner came out to try to tell me maybe I missed placed it and tried to convince me not to call the cops. The cops searched them but unfortunately we're not able to search their entire vehicles which they had been in and out of the entire time they were cleaning. Still so upset by all of this and just wanted to warn anyone else. I feel violated and disgusted. We will never be using these people again and will be spreading the word to watch out. read more

Poor customer service. Inadequate cleaning of home. The last straw for me was coming home to a DIRTY house. Dirt/food on cabinet/walls from 2 young boys, Kitchen floors not cleaned (I had to vacuum), RUGS NOT EVEN VACUUMED!, Beds unmade (clean bedclothes still lying untouched on top of bed). After they took my money I had to clean my own house as soon as they left. Then I noticed a bill on my counter for an extra $25! I was so confused. I contacted to ask why there was a bill for $25. FIRST I was given an answer of "my house was too dirty" and the girls had to work longer and that they had pictures to prove how dirty my house was (dryer sheets and a nursing pad on the floor---that must've been painstaking to pick up). When I stated that I didn't agree to extra time and I should have been notified as they knew that they were going to charge me as soon as the crew arrived (they sent pics as soon as they arrived and planned on "spending extra time" and charging me more) so that I could make the decision on whether I was interested in paying for the extra time or just having them leave. I had to clean my house after they left anyways. Then their story changed and I was told that the fee was actually for a "cancellation fee" from the week prior when I RESCHEDULED (not cancelled). I again was not notified at the time that I rescheduled that I was going to be charged a fee and therefore given the option to keep my appointment (which I would've done) or go ahead with the change and the $25 fee; I have never been charged a fee for rescheduling in the past nor have I been warned that I would be. Also, I was told (AFTER THE FACT) that the policy is 2 days in advance which I did notify them 2 days in advance (I have this on my phone). I cancelled service immediately and informed them that I was not going to pay the $25. No response from them. Several weeks later they used my debit card info that I had used to pay them in the past and charged me an unauthorized $25. This is not the first issue that I've had with this company. Their cleaning is very very frequently subpar. I have sent them texts with pics in the past of dirty floors, etc that I come home to after their "cleanings". Sometimes they'll respond with a 'we'll speak with the girls', sometimes no response. No guarantee of a satisfactory cleaning. I could go on but suffice it to say that they are NOT worth the money. I have switched to a new cleaning company and am VERY happy! The house even smells clean when I come home after this new company cleans. It's awesome! read more

We have been using The Cleaning Authority for about 6 months since we moved here. They come every two weeks and sometimes more often when we have visitors or a party. I have been very happy with their customer service and the cleaning is thorough and consistent. They use a rotating system where a portion of our home gets extra attention each time, and this has worked very well for us. I also love it that they work with us when we need to make schedule changes due to travel or other conflicts, and they also make sure they don't arrive too early in the day, which is important to us because of our work schedules. I met with the owner prior to signing the service agreement to specifically describe the work I needed to be done. I have a regular housekeeper who did not have the time for special jobs so I hired The Cleaning Authority to just do specific tasks. I needed baseboards, door jambs, doors, moldings, window ledges and blinds, kitchen cabinets and the extras they described as a one time detail clean. When the cleaners arrived they had no idea what they were supposed to do. This was after I spent almost an hour meeting with the owner and going over every area that was supposed to be done and given a quote for $330 for 4 to 5 hours for 2 cleaners. An outrageous sum compared to what I pay my usual cleaners but I really wanted to have a nice "spring clean" kind of job done. The most important items were never even completed. One of the girls was shorter than the other and therefore she could only reach about halfway up the cabinets. She would not get on a stool as it was a "liability," therefore only the bottom half of the cabinets were done, and even then, the moldings below the cabinet doors were also not touched. When I complained that how could someone be sent to clean my cabinets when only the bottom halves would be done I was told, "the owners usually do that." Of course, I had told the owner when we met how important this task was, however it was completely overlooked and never discussed with the cleaners. Talk about a half-...ed job, literally. The doors, moldings and baseboards were never completed. The home didn't even smell clean, they could've been using water in their clear spray bottles for all I know. There was a complete lack of any freshly cleaned scent one normally expects in their home when they were "finished." 3 hours of sub-par work was way too much wasted time already. One of the workers spent nearly two hours in my bedroom, with the door closed, and later when I discovered she hadn't even touched my vanity area, another important task I described and was "overlooked," she said, "oh, you wanted that done too?" Then she closed my window shutters on top of my custom valances, which caused the material to be all jammed up in the shutters. When I asked her to reach up and take them out from beneath the shutters she refused, stating I'm not allowed to go that high, "liability." Unbelievable. She spent most of her time complaining that she didn't feel good and wanted to leave, and playing on her cell phone. So, basically I was charged $300 for a spring cleaning that was never even completed. A total waste of my hard earned money. Sending 2 cleaners at $85/hr leaves me feeling totally ripped off, in my opinion. My regular cleaning girls can completely clean my entire home in 1 1/2 hours for $85. They come and WORK and get the job done. That's why they are so busy, otherwise I could've gotten this job done in less time for less money if they hadn't been in such demand for the dynamite work they do. The Cleaning Authority cleaners diddle around and charge outrageous amounts for work they didn't even come close to completing. It was obvious the owners could care less. It would have been futile to complain as it was very evident that their method of operating was one of "we could care less," as was illustrated by the lack of consideration that was given to me as a new customer and even as a potential long-term customer had the job been completed in a reasonable manner. It was not. I would warn any future customers to think hard before throwing money down the toilet like I did. read more

We have been customers of The Cleaning Authority(TCA) for three years. They are a professional company. TCA is able to deliver a perfect product while maintaining a positive person-to-person relationship. For the past two years, our cleaning team has remained consistent and amazing. Gabi and Sheila, team 9, deliver an impeccable performance. They arrive on time, relaxed and happy. They always take time to cuddle up our border collie and chat with us for a minute or two. They work so well as a team and it is obvious they like working with TCA. When we arrive home, we are always amazed at the beautiful job Gabi and Sheila have performed. Our house looks as though we have a professional cleaning service. We definitely get what we have paid to have done. We recently received a message from the owners asking us to make sure we keep our thermostat at a comfortable place for the cleaning crews to do their best work. Then the owners asked us to tell them what temperature we would like the team to set our thermostats at as they leave. What an amazing concept, considering the welfare of their staff while keeping the customer's best interests in mind. An amazing company and crew. read more

They didn't do the work. This was my first experience with the Cleaning Authority and now I wished I had read ALL the reviews not just the first few at the top of the page. Those are "planted or family reviews " after my experience which was like most of the ones further down on the page. The owner Brent must have a "low standard" if he has to continually try to "fix or re-train" his staff. They were only out of my home 30 minutes when I was on the phone to the office. I told Sue the manager I did not want the team back. However the owner showed up with the team in tow. I didn't let the team in but I did point out SOME not ALL of the issues I had with areas that weren't done at all or that were not done satisfactorily. When he downplayed my issues I refused to have them "fix" the problems. His standard of satisfactory is so far below mine I knew it wouldn't resolve anything. His response to my question about some kind of credit of the $100 I paid was to let them back in. As he walked out the door he told me " F you". Why would I want them back again? read more

I was surprised at these reviews, because I had the opposite experience (but then, I had the opposite experience with a washer model as well recently - some pretty poor reviews online and my experience with it has been great, at least so far!) and thought it was fair to share my GOOD experience with this company. They came and gave me an initial estimate, warned me it might run over that depending on how long it would take them to scrub things (illness prevented me from keeping up with "deep" housekeeping), they came on three separate occasions, initially layering on cleaning solutions etc. that would make it faster to scrub later (they even did my horrible oven, and did a beautiful job). In short, they left it so nice. Yes, the cost ran over a bit, not a lot, but they AUTHORIZED this first with me (contacted me and got the ok for it) and they also cleaned things I forgot to tell them needed cleaning, and these things NEEDED cleaning, bless them. They got into the corners and on top of the fan blades and all these places and I thought they did a terrific job. In the meantime, they contacted me to let me know how things were going. I would have given them a 5, but the cost seemed fairly high compared to other estimates (nonetheless, they did a great job commensurate with that cost). read more
