The two workers , Carolina and Aracely arrive bi- monthly at my house , always on time. The house is impeccably clean Note: you could literally eat off the floor I always come home to a beautifully and magnificently cleaned home. The home shines like a sparkling diamond. I have a cat that has a lot of fur and dander is plenty. You would never know that I had a cat living in the home. Once the workers leave, there is no sign of any fur or dander anywhere . I hired The Cleaning Authority White Plains to clean my apartment after moving out. I contacted several services, The Cleaning Authority White Plains presented as the most professional company of all. Contacting them was easy, understanding the charges for their services was easy, and making an appointment was easy. My expectation for the cleaning was to present my apartment to be in as reasonably good condition as possible. Catherine & Brijida arrived on time, we did a short overview of what I wished for them to do and what I was expecting for the outcome. I still had a bit of work to remove my belongings so I left them to proceed with the cleaning. When their two-hour service ended I was completely satisfied with the result! They transformed the apartment to present beautifully, beyond my expectation! I will always believe the charges for the results received were worth every dollar! I was so disappointed with this service. 1) They didn't show up the first time at the times they agreed. I had to call them to remind them. 2) They didn't clean a few places in my home adequate. It took them a few visits to even get the basics correct. 3) They do not do a thorough cleaning. 3) They were not responsive when I called or email them. 4) They took my key from my home over a weekend and I had to change the locks on my door because I was nervous about who had my key. 5) I never received an apology from them and I just stop the service. read more

$160 and they didn't clean the whole house, or show up for the initial estimate. They didn't make the bed or clean the living room or dining room and one of the bathrooms. The kitchen counter still had crumbs on it after it was 'cleaned' for an hour, and the oven wasn't cleaned. They did not vacuum an entire section of the house. Cleaning service only came once and the crew was great. However, the way the business is run is unacceptable. Bait and switch situation where one price and cleaning duration was agreed to, then priced higher. Unprofessional and disorganized management and communication, no shows, etc. Found replacement in the area that is MUCH better at communicating and holding to our agreed price. read more

I don't doubt that they would have done a decent job cleaning... if they actually showed up! Was a no-show for the estimate. After a phone call and email on my part, I finally got the "family emergency" line. Usually at that point I would cut my losses... but gave them the benefit of the doubt. I stressed several times that the cleaning needed to be done on a specific date (we were moving out). Did not hear from the company until 2PM on moving day... via email... to tell me they "didn't have anyone available." Luckily, their unprofessionalism from the get-go tipped me off and I had another cleaning person lined up. If you want a "clean house", this is the company to use. They do have a cleaning model from which they do not deviate but, if you are interested in really good cleaning,that is what they do. They are not housekeepers who do different chores when you want them done, unless you wish to pay extra. If you just want "clean", that is what they do. What a horrible company. I am so disappointed with the service. They were here for 4 hrs and didn't even finish the first and second floor, never even made it to the basement. After speaking with owner and explaining what I needed he said that 2 cleaners for 2 hours would be enough but since it was Saturday we had to guarantee them 3 hours, but 4 hours later and the job being incomplete is just not agreeable with me. The house was just purchased and completely empty and fairly clean. They spent more than 2 hrs cleaning the upstairs bedrooms and two bathrooms which the rooms were empty and were already fairly clean so I am not sure why it took them so long. The ceiling fans upstairs were still dusty to the touch even after the more than 2 hrs up there. By the time they came back down for the main floor they didn't even have time to finish mopping, only vacuumed. They cleaned the stove, fridges and cabinets which  are all empty but couldn't finish the first floor. They told me they couldn't get to the floors because we had a carpenter here giving us an estimate but I thought that after 4 hrs they would have at least finished and moved to the basement by the time the carpenter arrived. I didn't think I was getting my money's worth after spending 4 hrs and almost $400 on them and barely getting half the job done so I told them they could leave without finishing the floors on the main floor. I felt like the cleaners were trying to extend their time here by doing the most minimal work. They didn't seem interested in finishing the job and I also wasn't interested in paying more. I emailed the owner and of course now that he already has my card on file he doesn't call me back and charged my card even though I asked him to contact me before charging me but of course he charged me and never called read more

I've been using The Cleaning Authority for a couple of years now and have never had an issue with the quality of their work. I have wood floors and a dog so you can imagine the dust and dog hair that gets piled up....The girls ALWAYS leave my place spotless and immaculate. I'm not sure why anyone would give this business anything less than 5 stars because I personally think they're the best. I've used several other companies in the past but not one of them compare. They may be a little more expensive than others out there but they bring all of their own supplies (sprays, disinfectants, floor cleaner, vacuum, etc.), take their garbage out when they leave, and are 100% insured. The owner is extremely accommodating when I need a spur of the moment cleaning and works around my schedule. I would definitely recommend giving them a try. read more

If you have very low expectation for cleaning, this is the service to use. I had used them to clean my house and they did awful job. The company has a standard way of doing things and can not deviate from them. They simply can not do detail and thorough cleaning I needed. The crews I dealt with do not speak or understand English well making communication difficult. The management is not readily avaialbe nor professional. If you refuge to pay for the awful service, she'll be onto you like a starving vampire. read more

Not only are they disorganized, they don't communicate well when appointements are suppose to be. The cleaning crew just shows up at your house, then they charge you half the fee. On top of that, it's a different cleaning crew every week. Not a good service, I would not recommend them. read more

I called Cleaning Authority and they gave me the price for the first appointment. What they omitted is that the price was per hour. The cleaning was ok, they didn't move things, just cleaned around but the bathrooms and kitchen looked fine. I called when I got the bill (paid by credit card) as it was quite shocking. They stayed for four hours and the bill was over $350. I tried to explain that I never heard the woman I originally spoke to mention that the price was per hour. She just kept arguing with me telling me I was wrong. I never, ever, ever would have let them come if I knew that. I was led to believe that this was the price for a 1st visit. While I understand the need to charge by the hour, this is definitely something I would never have agreed to. It was never mentioned to me and I had a back and forth argument with the manager that was, frankly, very unprofessional on her part. Trying to call the number on the cc statement has been futiile as they never call back. I would never recommend them as their public relations attitude is appalling. read more
