They are liers and cheaters. After they signed the contract with us, they lied to us and refered their contractor for emergency service by saying this contract is my insurance company's referral. October 2024: Ryan and team were quick to respond, assess flood water damage, and remediate at my rental property in October 2024. Originally, I reported this incident through State Farm and was dealing with a month of insurance delays (from a change of agent in the middle of the claim, to new agent mis-filed paperwork, etc.). This is not a final review of my families business with The Clear Choice being that my claim is still being handled, but let's say an up to date review. On March 02, 2018 my parents home in the lovely little community of El Sereno caught a blaze due to an older wall heater malfunction. Long story short the attic was burnt to a crisp and the rest of the house was thrashed by the LAFD in the process of properly putting the fire out completely as well as making sure it didn't start back up. The day after the fire we were bombarded with calls from random adjusters as well as multiple visits from random adjusters at our house. One of those folks being Bruno Garcia, an employee of The Clear Choice. Now mind you my dad is 70 years old and a sucker when it comes to getting sold whatever! Thankfully, I was able to take time off of work to reject all the Public Adjusters as well as work with our insurance company to try and get our house rebuilt without the help of a public adjuster. Months passed and we never received any help whatsoever other then a payment from the insurance company for relocation costs. At this point I decided that we could use a little help and my dad for whichever reason saved Bruno's card. So my dad like an excited schoolgirl called Bruno immediately and scheduled an appointment without doing any homework on other public adjusters. Bruno, being the presumptuous sales men he has to be to earn a living immediately had contracts written up for my dad to sign on the spot if my dad decided to say yes. Of course my dad, the 70 year old senior citizen who has not had a home for 4 months was eager and willing to sign because of the promises and quick turn around The Clear Choice had promised to him. I then put a halt to the decision and Bruno immediately got a hold of me and asked to meet with me to hear his pitch. Typically I would of just declined the meeting being that I didn't really care to do business with the clear choice based on the fact that they had no online presence. They had 4 Yelp reviews that were all miraculously 5 star reviews with positive turn outs. Hmm... Bruno accompanied by his boss Alan Moore senior adjuster at The Clear Choice met with me the next day. I didn't know Bruno was going to bring backup! Alan took charge of the meeting and began to bash the insurance company and telling me what and how they do things to prolong the build of my parents home and how they will cut corners when it came to the construction of my parents home. I work a full time job and do not have much time to meet with multiple adjusters to find the best deal as well as make sure I do proper homework to find the best reviewed adjuster. I wish I would have... Four months later from when we first signed the contract with The Clear Choice we still do not have a completely built home, as a matter of fact they just started building the framing for the roof on 10/22/2018. Now please, don't think that I expect a completely built home in under 4 months, no way. But the home is currently still down to its studs and has been that way for 2 1/2 months. The construction team is a great crew of guys, but unfortunately they move extremely slow, my friends that live on the same block txt and call me daily letting me know that every time they pass by the house the construction crew is sitting down and on multiple occasions BBQ'n yes BBQ'n in the front of the house! We had a fireplace and chimney, but The Clear Choice construction team said that it was not safe and coming apart so they tore it down. They then let us know that it was going to cost too much money to rebuild it although we have over $125,000.00 issued by the insurance company for a full rebuild. The next thing they screwed us out of is the side paneling that we originally had on the exterior of my parents home, it's an old craftsman home that was built in 1925. The Clear Choice decided for us that they are going to put stucco instead of panels due to the cost. The final straw for me was the roof, the part that was demolished completely due to the fire. The clear choice really pulled a number on us with this one. The attic and peak of the roof was tall enough to walk in originally, The Clear Choice made the decision on our behalf to rebuild the roof that had enough space to crawl in. So far my experience with the clear choice has not been satisfactory at all.. From what it seems like they cut corners and do the bare minimum when it comes to rebuilding homes. They promised us that they will put the house back together to what it was before the fire. They have done a lot of upgrades and did foundation work to get the home back up to code. But in no way will my parents house be back to the style it was before. They have taken away the craftsman appeal the home once had and in return are making a run of the mill cookie cutter home so that they can keep the cost down. I will post updates if the situation get's any better, until then 2 stars. read more

This business is ghastly. I manage an apartment complex and one of the units caught fire in July. We evacuated the entire building and while we were still sitting outside on a neighbor's lawn,one of the adjusters, Michael Burke, approached me to talk about whatever it is he does. I did not know what was going on because I was in shock from: (1) trying to put out the fire, (2) realizing the fire had gotten out of control, and (3) getting all my residents and their pets evacuated. Michael took advantage of my confusion by telling me he was from my insurance company and asking to speak with the owners of the property. I gave him the owner's contact information. Mind you, all this was going on WHILE THE FIREFIGHTERS WERE STILL PUTTING OUT THE FIRE. What an opportunistic scumbag. I guess this company's modus operandi is to listen to police blotters so they can be notified of fires, then rush to the property to prey on vulnerable families. UPDATE: The business owner replied to point out that I was in distress when their employee approached me. Isn't it inappropriate to solicit business from a distressed and traumatized person? I want to thank you for what you do. I had been paying for over 35 years premium insurance from my former insurance company, because I'm a service member who deploys constantly, so I wanted to make sure I was covered for every possible situation I could be covered for, with the lowest possible deductible, when things went wrong and I was away, but I the first time I had to use my former "Home Insurance Company" they low balled everything. I had a fire and they told me they would fix it quick and put me in to a $24.00 a night motel for a few days. I refused to stay in the motel that rents rooms by the hour, so I paid out of pocket to stay in a more reasonable place. After a few days of great talking but no action, I contacted "The Clear Choice Public Adjusters". As soon as Clear Choice took over my case my former home insurance was trying to get me to cancel my contract with "The Clear Choice Public Adjusters. To make a long story short, Clear Choice made sure that the insurance company paid out the full amount I needed to repair my home and pay for all of my out of pocket expenses related to the fire. We lived at the Marriott Residence Inn, with every adult in my home having their own bedroom and bathroom, food allotment, fuel and travel pay. My former insurance company sold me 125% restoration coverage (as of the day of the incident, this is important because sometimes you can only get 100% of the cost when the home was built, in my case my home was built in 1954), and current city, state code. My home was repaired and is now better then it was before the fire, as stated in my insurance coverage that I was paying for. I now a new kitchen, bathrooms, with garnet countertops, in our kitchen, led lighting in cabinets, under cabinets, new appliances, and electrical threw out the home. This review is well overdue. I had a leak in my ceiling that ruined my walls, floors, and furniture the end of last year. I was insured by State Farm for over 20 years so I thought I was in good hands (oops wrong jingle) but boy was I wrong. My claims adjuster was beyond awful. Didn't return my calls.
