Spent my second weekend in a row at "The Club" and lemme tell ya, this is a life a gal could get accustomed to. Last week I got Dungeness Crab Benedict with truffle fries and caught some tennis in session. This week I got a tan by the big pure salt saline pool that's heated to 83 degrees year round and while lounging I sipped on Arnold Palmers (I'm taking a wee break from booze but their bar is great, too) and swallowed a tuna melt practically whole. There's a fitness center, a butt-load of tennis courts, an on-site bar & resto, huge jacuzzi, olympic size pool, and some incredible views as The Club is right on the Bay and looks over to Tiburon. My friend is a member and actually lives on this resort property (unreal) and I totally mooch off his guest spots to come get my swim on. I feel like every time I come I meet 1000 people and they all have really cool stories and backgrounds. Retired ER Dr, pizza place owner, French Chefs, lots of lawyers. lots of hot moms, lots of hot dads, some kids they brought with, and while there are a lot of seniors here, they're legit the fittest 60+ crowd I've ever seen. On Holidays they frequently have a live band and they'll grill burgers and dogs outside. It's really cool, very clean, and currently my happy place thanks to this sweet mini tan I was able to catch today. read more

Gorgeous pool. The gym could be bigger and more spread out and more cardio / strength classes. I haven't joined because of that, as well as a pricy initiation fee. I think if you live locally there should be a waived or heavily discounted initiation fee. I'm not a regular tennis player so not enough for me to join given the initiation fee. read more

Great brunch! Many options for breakfast items including omelettes and Benedict's, great pancakes with any berries you want or bananas or chocolate chips! Lunch items too.. tacos, Sandwiches are upscale, I had an ahi tuna burger which I loved. The owner is Danish and there are Danish items on the menu. The meatballs are great and if you like pickled beets, yum! But I usually get an omelette, my son orders "the ultimate". A big breakfast with pancake, eggs, meat of choice, hash browns and toast! (Son is a young athletic man)! Atmosphere is the best in Marin, I'd say for brunch, sitting on the water and overlooking the swimming pool sandwiched between the pool and tennis courts, our SF friends love to join us at the Club! Have had dinners here too which were great! Full bar and wine list! Never a poor experience and friendly service! read more

We just moved to the neighborhood and joined the Club. The staff is always very nice and the gym is not too busy and feels clean. We had a blast at the pool on open swim day. They also have a great swim clinic and yummy restaurant on the water. read more

The setting in the deck is beautiful and we were hopeful as the place was buzzing but the greasy brunch omelettes for $20 a pop were a huge disappointment. I could barely bring myself to eat half. Come on people, you really can do better than this. A brunch for three at $85 where I wouldn't even consider bringing home any of my leftovers was a "never again" for our family. read more

This club is my home away from home. Located at Strawberry Point (overlooking the beautiful Bay), this is probably the nicest tennis facility in all of Marin County (and that's saying a lot!). I more or less grew up here. My mom has been a member for 40+ years. I always joke that I was conceived on Court 5. Seriously though, Harbor Point (or the Club at Harbor Point, or what ever they're branding it these days) is a real gem. They have top-notch tennis courts, an Olympic size pool, a jacuzzi, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a club house with solid food and drinks. This isn't just a tennis club, this is more like a resort. I feel so lucky to have a Club Med like this in my backyard. The staff is uber friendly. Parking is easy. It's only 20 minutes from SF. Be warned though - on hot days, the pool can get packed! read more

WOW ..... an excellent club with beautiful tennis facilities, two floors of workout space, pool and sauna .... with a connecting restaurant and pro shop. Everything is top-notch, so clean and inviting; such an enjoyable place to visit. *If you plan to check it out - ask for Paul who is one of the managers. Ok, it is a beautiful club. Tennis courts are great. The swimming pool is outstanding. The facilities are also great. But, let's get real. You are going to pay through the nose to be a member. I understand the entry fee is close to $3,000. The monthly fee is $200 or so. And, the weird thing is... they actually have as is too many tennis members. One of my favorite tennis partners was a member of that club. We played on the weekend. And, we could never play at Harbor Point because it was too busy. So, instead we played at some local public courts. Putting $3K down, and paying about $2,400 a year for not having access to tennis courts on the weekend?! For more disclosure, my experience is based over two full years in 2015 and 2016. With the club member, we wanted to play any time in the mornings on the weekends. Those times were invariably not available. We managed to play only once at the club in the middle of the afternoon (not our preferred time, but I really wanted to try the courts at least once; they are great indeed). All the other 20 times or so that we played on the weekend over that two year period, we just met at public courts where court availability was much better. Things can change. However, if you anticipate that you will mainly use the tennis courts on the weekend in the morning confirm with current members that play on the weekend what is the availability of such courts. I can confirm that in 2015-2016, it was not good. Hopefully, at the present and in the future it may improve. I can only base my rating on my actual firsthand experience. Given that my experience, at this writing was relatively recent, and over a very extended period of time (two years), hopefully you will find this information relevant. read more

If you want to live somewhere where you feel like you're forever on vacation at a swank resort, look no further than The Club at Harbor Point. My friend and coworker lives here and I am always envious of the laid-back lifestyle he is privy to. The Club is also one of those places I would have never considered if I hadn't first visited. I don't play tennis and there are plenty of tennis courts, and the natural assumption is that a place like this is snobby and exclusive. That couldn't be further from the truth. All the employees are super friendly and welcoming. There is a massive pool that is accessible to all ages and the food and drinks in the bar area are only enhanced by the beautiful views of the bay. Yes, I believe you do have to actually pay to live here to have access to all this, but as a casual guest I was more than impressed. Mill Valley has a reputation for million dollar houses hidden away on hillsides. The Club adds a nice alternative to this with a lot of the same benefits. read more

(This review is just for the pool experience.) Fifteen years in Mill Valley, and yesterday was my first time in the Harbor Point Pool. Pulling into the parking lot, it is clear that this is a top-notch tennis facility--lots of courts that are well maintained. My intent was to attend a swim clinic (Mondays at 6:30 with Sarah); I am not a member. The attendent at the desk was straight from central casting ("California teenaged boy; handsome and polite"); he took my money ($15), offered me towels, and directed me to the women's locker room (which, somewhat strangely, is accessed by walking through the gym). The locker room was clean and had guest lockers that one can use by entering a self-made user code (no lock needed). The showers have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, all of which were totally acceptable. By the way, please shower *before* you get in the pool, K? Cause after a day out and about, you're kinda gross. Or I am, so I'm projecting...Seriously, it is standard pool etiquette. The pool is outside, quite warm (80ish?), and, on an uncharacteristically balmy early summer evening, just beautiful. The lanes are kind of odd. I think there were two or three narrow lanes separated by lane lines plus a wider lane in the middle. Basically, it is not clear whether one should have one's own lane or circle swim or what, but this was a non-issue since I swam as part of the clinic (which, incidentally, was good). There is also a hot tub to the side, which is shallow and standard (in a good way). Thumbs up for the pool and hot tub. The crowd was overwhelmingly over 50 y.o. in the pool, hot tub, and locker room (this may not be generally true of the membership, just one sample on one evening). The pool is positioned right near the water, with gorgeous views. I'm glad I finally went here, and it won't be my last visit. read more

The Best of the Best I have been a member since about 1979. Are you kidding me? Pool is open from. 6:00 am- 10:00 pm 7 days a week, except for the one week when tennis players like Andre Agasi take over the complex for a great tennis tournament. Awesome New 2 story Gym building with everything you need including free yoga daily . Paul at the front desk made it so easy for me to sign in my guest visiting from Hawaii this morning, as he set it up off her to have a one week membership allowing her full use of the club for $50.00, with only a phone call. FOOD- Check out Nourish, the awesome restaurant run by Steve, with the best ambience and views in the County. This club is a GEM! read more

I really love this club. It is well run and, as an ocean swimmer I appreciate the salt water pool. Although I don't utilize the tennis, this is clearly THE place in Marin for serious tennis players. Beautiful spot. I started taking gyrotonics before I became a member. The location and view creates such a peaceful atmosphere i joined 2 days later! It is just what we need for a fun family day of working out, tennis, swimming and dinner. I look forward to hanging by the pool in the summer and fall. Rumor has it there is table service from the bar and restaurant to the pool area. Feels like vacation and just in our backyard! If you are looking for a new workout club with great yoga, Pilates, cycling, TRX, swimming and tennis, fully stocked bar and yummy restaurant this is the place for you! read more

This club has a great location, beautiful views and lovely courts. It does not get a great rating because the new expensive fitness facility, while increasing our dues, is cramped and unpleasant to work out in. In addition, there are very few courts and it is often difficult to book one. The restaurant is mediocre at best. It is a shame because it could be tops! read more

Nice facilities for working out. Very good for tennis. Pool looks great but do not be fooled. Regardless of chemical additives almost no one showers before entering the pool. A couple of small signs posted but zero enforcement. No hair cover required - and there is a lot of long hair here. Gross. read more

Now that the new club house is built, this place is amazing. The pool has an incredible view over looking the water and the new gym facilities are wonderful. All the equipment is brand new and the locker rooms are spacious with showers and lockers. The staff is incredibly friendly and always helps with whatever you need. One of the best pools in Marin, but the owners are not smart about designing the buildings. They just did a huge remodel and made the gym area cramped--what a shame. If they had a spacious, appealing gym, this would be THE gym and spa in Marin. The restaurant food is terrific, but again, the building seems cheesy and doesn't use its waterfront location to best advantage. So close to being great, but not. read more

Great outdoor pool above all and the feeling that you are at a resort. One of the most beautiful spots on the water. The teaching pro there is Alleco Provolos, and he is one of the best around. The club is currently going through some renovations, the addition of a new fitness center etc. I would get in now while the price is right, there is no way to predict what the prices may be in the future after the work is done. Did a yoga class and wine party at Harbor Point's yoga studio. What a great evening!! I've done yoga at many studios around the Bay Area and this was a solid class. The people were great and the teacher was helpful and made it possible for beginners and more advanced students to be challenged. If you live in the Strawberry, Mill Valley or Tiburon area you need to give this place a try. AND the studio is beautiful with a view of the water out the huge wall of windows. I'm just talking about yoga here but the rest of the club is soooo much fun for every age group!! read more

Ken Andrason and his staff just helped me put on a fabulous party for my 95 year old friend. Ken put together a great menu after speaking with me and listened to what my friend's wants/needs were. The restaurant looked beautiful on the day of the event. The food was awesome and he estimated the quantities to be just about right. The waitress and bartenders did a great job keeping everyone happy. I would definitely recommend for a party and/or brunch. Great group of people. read more
