I'm still sitting here confused as to why the attorney out of Alabama (I met with him once for 5 minutes prior to the first hearing) from The Cochran Firm who was working on my behalf (I'm out of Metropolitan Atlanta) would share a letter I wrote to him in confidence with the opposition. The young lawyer struggled to mitigate effectively a disability case that was "well documented" by credible medical professionals for conditions I've had for decades. Hopefully this is isolated to my case alone. They're probably a good fit for others. Going on my experience alone, I could not recommend them to anyone in the future. read more

Do not use this group - terrible customer service skills I have had a real terrible time with the Cochran Group in regards to getting help with my disability Case. I've called often to get advise and never could I get a call back in regards to advise. All forms I filled out myself and visited the SSA myself and navigated the red tape and won my own case and these people stand to get a fee for doing ABSOLUTELY nothing - DO NOT USE THESE ATTORNEY's - Their assistants won't help you and they block and protect each other from external complaints. I wish I read these comments before I showed interest in seeking an attorney. And I concur. As a black man, the customer service of this place is terrible from a firm that was started by a famed black attorney. The woman calls me and she seems nice. They scheduled me for a 10:00 consultation with the attorney. I'm in Atlanta. I called at 10:00 am and some woman picks up the phone and says, 'Sir, can you call back at your scheduled time? You are an hour early." Silence for a second. So I say, "huh? It is 10 o'clock. " She says, "Its 9 am here." I said, "Where is here? I'm confused" She says, "Sir, can you just call back in an hour?" I hung up. Waited a few minutes, called back and canceled my desire to work with this firm. If your assistant's communication skills are this offensive, there is no need to go further. Absolutely the worst place to work with. They have horrible customer service, no one is ever held responsible for they're mishaps it's always the paying clients fault. They screwed up my chapter. 13 which I in turn had to file a chapter.7. I ended up having multiple attorneys, but I didn't know until I tried to reach them and was then told they no longer worked there. Of course I would always speak to their paralegal who never had answers. It was the worst mistake ever filing with them, but since I hundred of thousands of dollars in medical bills I had too. Please do your research before working with them or perhaps just disputes your debts with the credit bureaus. read more
