The lady at the cashier processed my order and told me that their credit card terminal is not working so I have to pay cash. Felt i didnt have a choice as the order was already being processed When i got my food the iced tea was placed in a disposable cup with plastice lid. I told the lady at the cashier that I wanted the drink in a mug. When she saw me looking strangely at the disposable cup she said sorry and placed the drink in a mug. Errr i asked for it to be placed in a mug to save on trees but well it looks like staff here need more concern for the environment and more active listening training.

I myself like a good de luxe bagel, though their sandwiches are pretty good and big as well. They serve breakfast items, as well as more "left-field options" like spaghetti or soup or salad. People who like rice might be a little at a loss, but if you enjoy bread or toast, there are a lot of those for you here. They aren't anything stellar at all, but if you're looking for a bite to eat in the mall, Country Style might offer you a little som'thin'-som'thin'. Have yourself a nice little donut to boot, too.

I do believe that everyone knows what CBTL is but for the uninitiated, its probably the best of the coffee chains here in manila. CBTL for me is Much much better than Starbucks or Seattle's best. And i do like the light coloured wood better than the dark wood of Starbucks, i guess it just feels warmer and picks me up more just the same way a good cup of coffee should be. Aside from the items i mentioned, the good stuff for me would be the espresso Macchiato, salami and cream cheese sandwich, Moroccan mint tea and the Chicago cheesecake.

Ended up with their single-origin pour-over--Ethiopian this time--and it was bright, juicy, and perfectly balanced, like every sip reminded me why I fell in love with coffee in the first place. Sat by the window watching the rain hammer Pasong Tamo, worked on my laptop for hours with zero pressure to leave. The space is still that perfect mix of raw concrete and warm light, never too crowded, always calm. Staff remembered my usual order even though it's been months since I last dropped by. Situated on a super industrial part of Pasong Tamo (though gentrification is very real and will probably make its way here very soon), it's kind of out of the way compared to most third wave coffee spots. This is a good thing though! I've never had a problem finding a seat there. The set up is great too. Very industrial. I like the large amount of natural light and sparse feeling of the place. There's a lot of exposed concrete and metal, making the place very Instagram worthy. There are also outlets, wifi, and pretty large tables so getting some work done here is definitely possible. I just wish the seats were more supportive. The coffee is amazing! I believe Yardstick sourced a lot of their coffee while I was there. Their mocha and Americano are great. Not too bitter. The only downside I have is the clientele was a little snooty. The staff, however, was great.

I ordered a Chai Tea Latte, paid for it. I was served... a green drink... a Matcha Latte. I asked about it. The answer I got was "ah! Wala kaming chai tea latte today. Narinig ko kasi matcha latte. Sorry." And he leaves for the back room. I sit there... trying to figure out what just happened. By myself. I feel bad. Very bad. I got excited to have a chai tea latte. I paid for a chai tea latte. I got a matcha latte instead. I try it anyway. What else was I going to do. The barista was gone. It was bitter, like matcha usually is. But a matcha latte isn't usually that bitter either. It was okay. I've posted on their FB. They've contacted me too. It's good to see there's an effort on their end to make things better. The person I chatted with has apologized for my experience and has made an effort to make it up to me. Hopefully their service does get better. Hopefully no one will ever have to start their day the way I started mine today.

It has the right caffeine punch to keep me awake in the afternoon (to be honest, after lunch carb sleepiness is counterproductive!) The drink itself isn't too sweet and the blend of chocolate and coffee is just right. The cafe's interiors are also very conducive for studying and working. Although sockets for laptops are a bit hard to come by, it's either you seat yourself by the window or on the couches so you can have access to the socket. Also, WiFi is free, but you'll have to like them on Facebook first to be able to access it. Overall, I really like Third Cup Cafe. It's not too expensive and the coffee is really good. The ambiance is also nice for a quick chat with a friend, or if you need to work or study, and if you want to go solo flight and just cozy up with a book.

This is my husband's favorite place to go to EVERY morning. I also like going here, but I'd prefer taking my coffee to-go. I seldom write updates to locations that I've already written reviews for. I just write tips and add pictures. If you're a tourist and thinking of what to give someone when you return to your country, Starbucks often has pretty Philippine souvenir mugs and tumblers. I purchased tumblers for gifts and for myself. I'm thinking of going back there to check out the mugs. Sorry, I went off on a tangent. Let me get back on track. I asked for small bags for each tumbler, and Ben offered to gift wrap all of them for me. After Ben and a few others wrapped the tumblers, I tipped them more than my usual amount. Someone is probably saying, of course, I should tip them. I have noticed that the majority of the customers do not tip, and that's their prerogative. Everyone here is very friendly and always greets me when they see me. I always give them a tip for their wonderful service. Kudos to the employees at this Starbucks Reserve location!

I was surprised that a lot of the Starbucks in the Philippines are sustainable! WOW! They switched over to paper cups for cold drinks and I noticed that too at the Starbucks location inside Okada. They don't have the paper cups for iced drinks in the U.S. yet or at least I haven't been to a store that has that only for hot drinks. They had a promotion going on at the Starbucks in the Philippines while I was on vacation and if you purchase 18 drinks then you can select from a travel organizer, schedule book or planner. I didn't originally think I'd be able to buy 18 drinks in my two weeks but I ended up treating my cousins and other people for Starbucks so it took me about a week to earn my travel organizer. I guess it's technically not "free" since you have to spend to earn it haha oh well, it was still satisfying to get. The employees at this Starbucks were nice and chatty, one of the baristas was even cute too lol.
