    Code With Her

I highly recommend Code With Her programs! I am a mother of a tween girl, Girl Scout leader of…read more10-15 year olds, and a STEM enthusiast. Code With Her gives girls the opportunity to dig right in and have hands-on experiences coding during stand-alone workshops. We have done their programs several times and my girls love them. Girls sit down to a laptop (provided to use by CWH) by themselves or with a buddy. This is awesome, as my girl scout troop has girls with a range of access to computers at home and some dont get to use computers. Offering to use equipment like this to ages as young as 5-6 gives girls confidence in STEM as they mature. I love that they are receiving instruction, support, and inspiration from women STEM professionals. The women at Code With Her are all friendly and helpful, and keep class sizes small so they can give the girls their complete attention. The women go around the room during work time and make themselves available to help at any moment. They smile, have great personalities, and are approachable which makes it easy for girls to ask when they do want support. The workshops offered range in difficulty, so there is opportunity for all levels. We paid $15-$20 for a 2-hour skill-building workshop. This is a value considering the amount of information girls learn, the great facilitator-to-student ratio, and quality of programming. They also give a chance for girls to present their completed work on a projector and show what they coded to the rest of the class. Presentation skills are a little bonus! The program that my girls used is Scratch- this is a program they are showed how they can also use at home! My daughter has made interactive animations, games, and stories using Scratch. Most girls go home with a desire to do more with Scratch on their own time. At the last Code With Her program, participants were offered the opportunity to bring their own laptops. Directions on how to access Scratch were provided before class so that we were set up with a login for the class upon arrival. Code With Her clearly wants to set up girls for success in STEM. They are making an investment in our future by providing access to technology to girls of all ages. Studies show that girls who participate in hands-on STEM activities believe they can be good scientists and engineers! Through STEM programs, girls feel empowered to make a difference in the world. That is powerful! My daughter asks to code now, at home. She asks when she can do another Code With Her program. I cant say enough great things about this company. Thank you for inspiring girls in tech!

I'm forever grateful to have found Mrs. Eleanor and this school…read more I have a boisterous, precocious kid, who can sometimes be high-energy at times. Despite searching high and low, I struggled to find a preschool that was able to harness and channel his energy in the right way--one that was willing to invest in him fully and see his potential. Then I found REEA. Mrs. Eleanor knew exactly how to work with my son. Over the next three years I watched him grow and flourish in her care, and am forever grateful for everything he learned under her tutelage. He is now a smart, well-adjusted, confident 3rd grader, and well on his way to becoming an exceptional young man. I attribute no small part of his progress to the time he spent at REEA. Mrs. Eleanor brought a perfect blend of nurturing and structure to my son's life, and it was clear they shared a loving and supportive bond. I love this school so much I may have to have another kid just to send them here. I can't recommend this place highly enough, especially if you have a dynamic kid who needs more than your ordinary preschool.

I wanted to write this review a long time ago but got to my to do list to this one now…read more I can not thanks craigslist enough where i found out about this school. When i first met Miss Eleanor i knew this was it, and frankly i never searched for a school after that.Few points why i choose REEA over lots of small and big Montessori school... 1I burnt my hand with another Montessori school before i started with REEA. 2 Miss Eleanor has 15+ years experience being a teacher. i could see love pouring out when she spoke to my son. 3 Small set up for kids aged 2-5 years where they get individual attention. 4 No rush for any activity. 5 Kids work at there own sweet pace and learn a lot. 6 Very neat clean and organized place. 7 I love all the material games and tool she used (mixture of Montessori and non Montessori).Which gives kids a variety and they dont get bored. My son was so excited every single day to go to Miss Eleanor's school unlike his previous school. This was just mainly becoz he was getting so much love and attention from his teacher. She know how to discipline the kids with so much patience and love. Her constant sweet reminders helped kids to know the rules and to follow them every day. My son never use to put any toy or book or things at his right place after he was done playing or reading but we saw this change after we started him at REEA. The other most important thing worth mentioning is the love for reading that Miss Eleanor has. The collection of books and the way she reads, kids get so engrossed and develop a natural love to read. She sure is a reading specialist. She works hard with kids and communicate with parents on a regular basis. We love her and will always recommend her school to all friends .

It was my pleasure to get to work with Amanda and raise my score from a 145 to a 161 PT score over 8 weeks! I not only consider Amanda an amazing tutor but a wonderful friend.

Throughout the process, she provided many resources and advice to receive all the knowledge and practice I needed to feel prepared. She would always go the pace where I felt most comfortable and made sure I was confident with the material before moving on. Amanda also gave me excellent advice when I was completing college applications to ensure they reached their full potential and truly represented who I am as a person. Amanda's advice/teachings have not only helped me with the SAT and college applications, but it's taught me many techniques I've used when writing papers, creating a resume, managing my time wisely, and so many more skills I will continue to utilize throughout my life. Chris has continually helped me advance in my precalculus class. Having a teacher that is often absent and teaches in a way that doesn't necessarily resonate with me, I was struggling. Within a few weeks of reaching out to Chris, my quiz and test scores were greatly improving and so was my grade. I can proudly say I was one of the very few students who received an A in that class. During meetings with Chris, he always is able to gauge what level of understanding I have and what I still need help on. When I don't understand something, he is always prepared to go more in depth or explain it in a different way that I can better understand. He has helped me build my confidence in a subject I previously struggled with. For me and many others, reaching out for help from a tutor can be intimidating. I've had tutors before who become impatient when it's taking longer to understand a topic, or overall are just arrogant. I was relieved when I realized this wasn't the case for Amanda and Chris. Neither one of them would ever rush a topic or hesitate to go more in depth on something I didn't understand. Both have a talent for teaching in a way that works best for you. I can't express the gratitude I have for both Amanda and Chris for repeatedly going out of their way to prioritize my needs. You can tell that both have a love and passion for helping others, and it is greatly reflected in their work.
