Delicious ice cream flavors and super friendly staff! This is a hidden gem tucked into a nondescript strip mall. Inside, it's clean, bright, and smells delicious. I tried honey lavender and honeydew Italian ice (vegan). Both were delicious and they especially went well together! My husband got an ice cream sandwich with banana pudding ice cream. The flavors were all so unique and sounded amazing, I had a hard time choosing. The pieces here are steep at 10$ for a pint and over $5 for a scoop on the smaller side, but I think the quality of the ice cream sets it apart. We decided to stop in for Mother's Day and we had out Great Dane. Firstly the ice cream was wonderful. We tried salted caramel truffle, Reese's peanut butter and banana Oreo. This Ice cream shop is newer in town and it has become one of my absolute favorites. I've been a few times so far and every single time I'm impressed. They have an absolute amazing way with the customers they invited me in and made me feel welcomed. The ambiance is incredible they have interesting photos on the wall great colors and so much ice cream to look at. They have several unique and tasty flavors my absolute favorite was the strawberry but the pistachio was close to beating it. Creamy, tasty, velvety smooth with delicious chunks of fresh peaches, not too sweet and so refreshing on a hot August day. Waffle cone was so fresh and crispy with a mini marshmallow surprise keeping the ice cream from dropping out. My car's GPS could not find the place so I just navigated to the Kroger store and went past the parking lot and found The Friendly Market and The Colonel's Creamery was there! Save room for dessert is about the best advice out there next to the Golden Rule. My wife and I found ourselves hankering for some sweet stuff and thanks to the incredible yelp app we found that The Colonel's Creamery was nearby. It is located at the Friendly Market, a large metal warehouse of a place that has a few other cool and unique food/drink businesses. Parking is free and in the lot. I found the teenagers behind the counter surprisingly helpful and knowledgeable about the different ice cream flavors. We sampled a few and decided a 3 scoop cup was needed. Black raspberry chip, Butter Pecan, and some kind of caramel goodness. Holy Holstein!! The scoops were more on the size of "my boyfriend just broke up with me and I'm going to binge" than the average golf ball sized mercy scoops that a typical creamery provides. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs, but through sheer force of will we, mostly me, devoured the ice cream and prayed for no acute onset of lactose intolerance. This is now my favorite ice cream. I've even given up Graeters for the Colonel. I have way to many favorites but my newest is the Grasshopper. A very delicious mint with chocolate chips and oreos. That would be followed by a tie with Black Raspberry Chocolate Flakes and Distinctly Chocolate (which is chocolate ice cream with fudge brownies and a fudge sauce). The Colonel always had new flavors coming out and I haven't found one I don't like. There are always free samples. I really can't recommend this place enough. Simply put.... it's the best. Been there countless times so figured it was time for a review. For all the flavors I have tried I have yet to have one I didn't like. The banana ice cream is probably my favorite as it taste like eating an actual banana. I also tried one with lavender (lavender honey I think) which was better than you would think and I even tried one that was spiced / chocolate and bought more. They offer free samples (small spoon full) of what they have and if you buy a pint (or whatever size) they will pack the ice cream solid in the container and fill it as full as possible.
