I was looking for a place to hold a show, when a friend had told me about the colony house. I had looked at the overheads on Google maps, and was blown away by the size. Apparently, it used to be a club, but has now changed into a very high-end and cool venue for weddings or whatever type of event you want to have. One of the first thing you notice when you turn in is the amount of ample parking. There are two secured Gates that open up to a huge parking lot, definitely not cramped for sure. And it has plenty of handicap spaces which is very nice. Walking into the open air pavilion, is a real treat. What a great space! This would be a great place for outside dining, or having a band play out there and dancing, if you didn't want to be cooped up inside. Definitely tons of possibilities at this venue! Inside, there is a bar on one end and a stage on the other with a huge open area. This would be perfect for a wedding or something that's held inside, if you did not want to brave the elements outside. Company on site, and can pretty much do anything you need. And that's not all, there is an upstairs area that is perfect for an overflow room, or a VIP lounge, or just a place for say a wedding party to take a break, or anything you really want to do with it. It even has a nice little outside courtyard that you can sit and get some fresh air. I could almost write a book about how awesome this place is but suffice to say if you live in Orange county and are looking for a premier venue to have your event at, I don't think you could do any better than the colony House. We had our wedding here at the Colony House over labor day weekend, and it was absolutely amazing. The venue was beautiful, and we loved the high ceilings, open space, upstairs loft, succulent wall and outside patio area. The ceremony and reception were in the same area, and the staff & vendors were so great at flipping the room, the process very smooth. We had about 135 guests and the space was perfect. Best wedding ever! My husband and I toured this venue almost a year in advance when we first got to meet Shae & Shane who will walk you through the entire wedding process from start to finish. They provide detailed information, respond promptly to all emails or inquiries, and make everything run smoothly the day of! They also provide flexibility and help on things you may want customized outside of what the venue offers such as bringing in dessert vendors, DIY stage decor, etc. I had nothing to worry about the day of and my lead server for the night of - Felix - was amazing! This was one of our top top contenders when looking around for venues and we did nothing but compare other venues to this one. Their venue space is stunning, open, and beautiful to say the least. Their upstairs loft, bridal suite, brick accents, succulent wall and bars speak for themselves too. The space has so much to offer and allows for you and your partner to create a space that encapsulates the both of you for your special day. We had our ceremony and reception in the same room. The staff and my vendors were able to flip the space in no time while our 120 guest went upstairs for cocktail hour during the transition, which was truly seamless! As for FOOD...from the first tasting to the last bite we had at dinner, it was nothing short of delicious. Chef Dax and Head Server Diana are amazing to have cater your event & highly highly recommend for anything in the future. The tray passed appetizers were an immediate hit to the point where some guests were cheering as they came out of the kitchen. We went for the island menu (buffet style) for our guests and most went back for seconds, and others for a third serving! Recently had my wedding here and it was amazing! First of all, the space is beautiful and speaks for itself. I fell in love with the upstairs loft, the brick along the inside, and small patio area filled with plants. Our wedding was about 130 guests and they had plenty of space. We had cocktail hour in both upstairs and outside area. The venue even has a nice bridal room downstairs. Big enough for bridal pictures and to store things. The food is DELICIOUS. I had heard from friends that 24carrots makes good food, then i found out for myself at the tasting. Our wedding guests couldn't say enough good things about the appetizers and dinner. The servers were so attentive to our guests. I have to give a huge shout out to chef Dax and our lead server April. They killed it. We explored their preferred vendor list and they were excellent! My husband and I started wedding planning 9-10 months ago and we were so lucky we found The Colony House for our wedding venue. The Colony House was actually our second venue to view and we immediately fell in love with the venue space. The Colony House allows for both indoor and outdoor event spaces which was something we wanted: indoor reception that was modern/up to date, good lighting, and an outdoor space for a "garden" vibe and natural lighting! This venue is beautiful: it is spacious enough to allow for a blank canvas feel for creative event planning and any aesthetic: modern, rustic, romantic, etc. Also, a large parking lot on site was a bonus for us as we wanted to accommodate all our guests, wedding party, and vendors. To be honest, the succulent wall was what really drew me to this location, but, as soon as I saw the rest of the venue in-person, I knew immediately that this was the perfect place for our wedding (and it was only the second venue we looked at!). For reference I, the bride, am highly organized and was not prepare to settle for a venue with mediocre communication or hospitality. Shane and Cameron and team truly exceeded my expectations for our wedding. We LOVE this venue and the staff at the venue. They are truly amazing. Back in 2024 when we got engaged we weren't having a ton of luck finding venues that truly fit what we wanted as well as within our budget. Something that fell high on our priority list was the vibes from the venue manager. They are there every step of the way as you plan, hire vendors, make requests, etc... Let me tell you, Shane and Cameron are both absolutely phenomenal. Shane's warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly sold us on the venue even before they finished the GORGEOUS covered outdoor space with the living wall. Doing the venue tour with him felt like I was chatting with a friend and it made us feel so comfortable and right at home. From the initial booking, all the way to the actual event he was there every step of the way. Cameron joined the team a couple months before the wedding and my only complaint is that I didn't get to spend more time with her! She is so bright and wonderful, but also means business and keeps things moving the day of. When we first toured, Shane did an amazing job at making us feel comfortable to ask any and all questions to ensure we would end up with a venue that was within our budget, but also the look and feel we knew we would want for our night. Once we reserved our date, the team was transparent with any and all details of our contract, and made sure we knew what our options for event design were LONG before we had to finalize decisions, perfect for any moments of indecisiveness due to excitement. The team was flexible with changes as we got closer to our date, and made sure both our Tasting event and Detail meeting were filled with options we had brainstormed were present so we could finally envision the event come to life. On the day of the event, we felt incredibly special, with Shae and team working with our event planner, (Sprinkles of Love Events) to bring an event to life that perfectly fit what we wanted for our night, down to the mood lighting in the room. We are eternally grateful to the staff at The Colony House. We fell in love with the venue when we first visited, especially the succulent wall! We initially booked them during the summer of 2020 for our June 2021 wedding. We all know how confusing, stressful, ever-changing, and uncertain everything was during that time. My husband and I recently had our wedding at the Colony House and it was great!! It was everything we had dreamed of and more. My Mother in law requested that we have our wedding in the OC. This was already relatively limiting since there are a lot of venues mostly in LA. We stumbled upon colony house which is a really nice rustic venue and has a beautiful succulent wall outside too. What drew me to the place was that there was a lot of areas that you could take photos of. The upstairs loft, the outside patio, and others! Colony house is NOT cheap but also not crazy expensive. We chose the buffet which is the cheapest option. The best things I loved about Colony House however was that they were always willing to work with me and accomodate us. They definitely made some exceptions here and there to help us achieve our wedding dreams and help to stay within our budget. We were worried that because we had a buffet, it would take too long to serve people, but we actually had TWO buffet tables going and food was served relatively quickly! At the end of the day after our Wedding was said and done, I am so glad we went with the Colony House. Everything went smoothly, the venue looked beautiful and everything was executed flawlessly! Other Pros: -The venue is already nicely decorated so I spent less on decor and flowers and still had a great feel. -You have onsite parking overnight so that everyone can uber home and leave their cars if needed -They allow you to have shots after cocktail hour so PARTY IT UP! -Again, they are pretty accommodating and always worked with us to find a solution! Cons: -You have to do lighting through the venue BUT they made the exception and let my DJ bring in several uplights instead. -All food and drinks are through the venue. But you can have outside vendors for desserts! -I wanted soft serve ice cream for dessert but the vendor required a 240V plug which the venue did not have. It starts off with two beautiful people choosing to spend the rest of their lives together. This perfect union was only enhanced by the venue chosen to celebrate their love and adoration for one another. The location is tucked away in Anaheim, for which I am highly unfamiliar. But we entered the address into MAPS and arrived at this perfect location to watch our friends say "I do". The structure is somewhat industrial, with beautiful rafters and beams, lots of windows, and an ideal setup to quickly rearrange the room during different phases of the ceremony. Enhanced by lots of brick, rustic wood, and ambient lighting, the Colony House was simply perfect in every way. Three bars were available, one outside which featured a beautiful wall of succulents, a fireplace, string lights, and scattered hi-top tables to sip on cocktails while you socialize with guests. The main bar is inside, with one more upstairs. The wedding consisted of just over 200 guests, but it never felt like that many people were present due to how many places there were to go and celebrate. The upstairs room, which is viewable from downstairs through large glass windows, was a perfect place for the younger guests to dance, romp around, and play with amazing light sabers handed out by the bride and groom. Made of foam, so no risk for injury! That's the thoughtfulness of a Child Life Specialist, I'm sure. The food was amazing, but the credits for that must go to the bride and groom's caterers. Service was impeccable, the wedding coordinator did everything in a timely and well executed manner. Bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly, and quick to pour a cocktail or a glass or wine. Overall, the Colony House is intimate. It is much different than your standard banquet hall, but instead, offers the warmth and coziness of something that feels comfortable and inviting, making the first steps into a new life simply perfect. Congratulations to our friends Carol and Jeff Hamamoto... may your life be blessed and filled with love and laughter. This ceremony was perfection, in every way. I don't even know where to start.... First of all, the venue itself is gorgeous and one of the few (decent) indoor venues available in the OC area. If you are planning to have your wedding in the summer, an indoor venue is a must for your guests. I saw a Yelp review about their sound system and was concerned but they recently got that fixed so the sound system during our wedding was stellar. Shae & Shane were absolutely amazing since Day 1. They were not only professional but also very accomodating to meet all of our needs and changes. They are absolutely the sweetest and most informative folks I've ever worked with. And lastly but surely not the least, their food was absolutely the best out of all weddings I've been to. The food at the weddings are notoriously known for their lower quality but not the Colony House! The food was prepared by the 24 Carrots team (led by Niesha) and all of our guests complimented on how delicious the foods were and that it was one of the best they had from weddings. The serving team led by Felix also made sure that the food were served to all tables promptly so that the food stayed as warm as possible for the guests. From the moment, we toured The Colony House during one of their open houses, we knew this was our venue! First, the space is just so modern but also gave a warm cozy feeling. I loved all the wood details that runs throughout the venue. The bridal suite may seem small, but once inside, I was pretty amazed how big it was. We had 10-15 people in there at one time and it was still really roomy. The loft is my favorite room because it oversees the main area and even has a built in bar! The patio is so cute with the succulent wall and  fireplace. These two spaces were both so perfect for our guests to go during cocktail hour or even for a short break during the reception. The catering is by 24 Carrots and let me tell you, I could not stop getting compliments on how delicious the food was! My cousins still texted me the day after to tell me that the food was amazing. We've had a lot of subpar wedding food before, but 24 Carrots is hands down the best one yet! Last but not least, the staff! I cannot tell you how sweet everyone was. The biggest stand out were Shae and Shane! Shane helped us in the beginning to tour the space again with our parents and get all our questions answered before finalizing our contract. Then we met Shae who has literally been an angel sent down to us! She helped coordinate everything in the final months, answered all my little questions I asked her, and was just always so patient and sweet to us.
