I spent months trying to get in touch with someone regarding hosting my daughter's wedding at this venue. During that time, I made multiple phone calls and sent several emails, but unfortunately, I never received a response. Because of the complete lack of communication, we've decided to look elsewhere for a wedding venue. First impressions matter, and if a venue cannot respond to a prospective client who is simply trying to schedule a tour and receive a quote, it raises serious concerns about the level of service they provide throughout the planning process. While I can't speak to the quality of their events, I can speak to my experience as a potential customer, which was disappointing. We held a 70th birthday celebration with 72 guests at the inner courtyard. It was the height of a local heat wave and the event was set for noon. The staff did everything they could to keep us comfortable using strategically located patio umbrellas and fans. They even offered the use of an air-conditioned room for guests who needed relief from the heat. The celebration was a great success because the food was good, the staff was helpful, and Inner Courtyard made for a wonderful setting. I highly recommend this venue for events. read more

12/14/24 Last night, my workplace hosted a Christmas party, and it was my first time attending this event. The street leading to the parking lot was quite dark, but fortunately, the lot itself was well-lit. The parking spaces were angled and rather small, so we had to search carefully for a spot with a clear walkway or an empty space next to it to avoid any potential bumps or scratches. There was a short walk from the parking lot to the front entrance of the building. The venue itself was absolutely stunning--it felt like stepping into another world as soon as we entered. While I'm not sure about the usual decor, the Christmas decorations were incredible. We had a great time exploring all the photo opportunities, including the garden area where weddings are held, and the unique rooms and seating areas, which gave off a very cozy vibe. The bar and the fireplace in the living room-like setting were especially impressive. The food was delicious--cheese enchiladas, Spanish rice, chicken fajitas, and salad. All the buffet items were served by attentive staff. The venue had a distinct charm, and I could easily imagine it being inspired by a beautiful home in Mexico. From the very beginning, everything was handled with the utmost professionalism, which made planning my daughter's wedding so much easier and far less stressful. I organized our holiday work party at the Hacienda for about 55 guests and everyone was so impressed! The venue is beautiful - classy and tastefully decorated for the holidays with plenty of picture taking nooks. We had the mimosa brunch in the outdoor patio and everyone loved the food and the free flowing champagne. I was especially impressed with everything included in the package - linens, orchid centerpieces, Xmas decor, Xmas tree and poinsettias, lights in the trees, wreaths, music for ambience, microphone, screen for slide show, umbrellas for shade - they were so incredibly accommodating and they made it a stress free event. The service was amazing as well, plenty of servers clearing plates, bringing around drinks on trays, and Julie was great as our same day coordinator. I'm so thrilled with how smoothly our event went and I received so many compliments about how this was our best venue ever! I hope we get to plan another event here again in the future. Our wedding at the Hacienda was perfect! We received so many compliments, and someone even said it felt like they were in a different world. The package for the price was incredible and included so much--coffee, cookies, a cake, the pianist, linens, the ceremony and reception spaces, bridal and groom suites, centerpieces, and more. Between the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, we had so much delicious food! It was truly worth every penny. The space is absolutely gorgeous, with countless spots that look amazing for pictures. Our colorful theme really popped in the venue. I'm sober, and they were incredibly mindful of that, setting aside sparkling cider for me in my bridal suite and for my toast, which was such a thoughtful touch. The only downside was not having a food tasting and not being able to arrive at the venue earlier than the guests without paying a fee, which wasn't something I encountered at other venues. I was here for a wedding on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The Hacienda staff had everything set up and ready for the ceremony. They have a good size parkng lot and I believe there was another overflow lot on the other side of their building. The facility has a really nice southwestern decor. The section where the ceremony was held was adequate for our group. But if you're expecting a really large number of guests, it may be too small (check with management for alternatives). Staff had champagne flowing as soon as the ceremony was over. They also set up a small bar with a limited selection of beer, wine, and mixed drinks. The reception area was in one of the adjoining rooms. The table setup was perfect for our party. Mexican food was buffet style and not bad. Every staff member I interacted with were truly professionals and pleasant. If you're looking for a venue location to hold both your wedding and reception, this place works! read more

My wife and I got married last year but to be covid safe, kept the ceremony to just immediate family only. When we were finally ready to do something for our closest friends and extended family members, we were unsure what venue would not only do their best to keep their guests safe, but also give us this warm and intimate feel we wanted for our celebrunch/mini-reception. Thank goodness my wife found The Hacienda, which is quite underrated and a bit of a hidden gem among venues in Orange County. It is also quite hidden physically as well as you'll never know where it is since it's located behind a nondescript shopping plaza. Built around an adobe that is a century old, The Hacienda is nonetheless a magical world unto its own, with a whole lot of charm and history. And best of all, the event planners were incredibly accommodating, informative, and flexible as they were with us each step of the way in the planning process. Like any typical event that's wedding related, I barely remember the food the venue provided but I do remember being highly impressed by their signature Isidro's pasta, which has a subtle spicy kick to it. The venue was also really helpful and provided a list of reputable vendors for DJs that they've used in the past which made the planning process easy on our end from the office. I had my wedding reception at The Hacienda two weekends ago, and it was truly the best experience. I booked the venue a year in advance and had tons of questions throughout the process. I probably spoke with nearly every staff member, and each one was professional, kind, and incredibly helpful--they answered every single question with patience and clarity. On the big day, Kristin and Art were our day-of coordinators, and they went above and beyond. From the moment we arrived, they made sure we always had snacks, food, and drinks in hand. At one point, I was chatting with guests holding an almost empty glass of champagne, and Kristin appeared out of nowhere to swap it for a full one. Their attention to detail and calm presence made the day run perfectly. Guests are still telling us how beautiful and flawless everything was. They especially loved the indoor-outdoor vibe of the venue--and the food! We didn't get a chance to do a tasting beforehand, so we were a little nervous, but everything was absolutely delicious. I loved having my wedding here. It still feels like a dream and I wish I could relive it. Art was great throughout the whole process. The front office staff answered all of my questions which were pretty frequent. I'm glad they were always responsive as it helped alleviate the stress during the planning process. This venue is absolutely breathtaking! We just attended a Saturday brunch wedding here two weekends ago. Coincidentally, this venue was #2 on our list for our own big day last year. The only reason we didn't make our appt. and book this place was because the first place we saw (a Wedgewood Weddings property) offered a bigger bang for the buck. HOWEVER, just know that I literally sent out over 50 inquiries to venues in LA, OC, and SB counties and had narrowed it down to ours and this one due to the all inclusive nature of their packages that included alcohol. You truly won't be able to find anything much better in that regard than what this place offers. Our friends' brunch package included bottomless mimosas for the entire day. The only potential turnoff to this place for some who aren't local may be a look at the area in which it sits. Santa Ana isn't the nicest city in the world and this venue doesn't sit in a particularly picturesque area. BUT, do not be detoured by that first impression! While this spot seems like nothing from the street, once you step inside, it's a truly beautiful oasis! The inside looks small, so I'm not really sure how all 60-75 of us fit, but we weren't smashed together or anything. There were 10 tables with 6 people per table for the reception, yet still plenty of space for all the usual tables of stuff, a full bar, DJ, and a dancing area. The ceremony takes place in a gorgeous garden area with garden-like metal chairs for guests. The bride's grand entrance will be from the left-side door on the back wall (left when facing the back). The groom entered from a door directly opposite from the entrance. Our friends chose the mexican food brunch package. The other choice is American breakfast food. The Mexican package comes with a choice of meat (they had chicken), beans, rice, tortillas, salad, and fruit. The food wasn't bad for a wedding venue! We enjoyed it. The bottomless mimosas were served at the bar in the back and they kept flowing the entire time. There's really not an ugly square inch of this place. With all the trees and plants everywhere, no matter the time of day, every photo came out so amazingly with all the natural light everywhere. To help keep it cool, they use this translucent plastic stuff that shades each table above your head. That's probably a bad way of describing that - it's not ugly like I'm making it sound lol. The Hacienda is the most gorgeous wedding venue I've ever seen. The decor, staff and food were exceptional. Everything flowed smoothly from room to room with the welcoming champagne in the entrance courtyard when guests arrived and the beautiful dining room where the bride and groom had their own table surrounded by their guests. The cake which is part of The Hacienda's all inclusive package was gorgeous and tasted great, red velvet with cream cheese frosting. Guests were able to access the bar, dance to the DJ, (Showcase DJ) and see the cake in the room located between the foyer and dining area. STEPH JUDGEMENT: A lovely venue for special events. We were invited to a wedding reception here and had a great time! The location is the definition of "hidden gem", as it's in an unexpected area, across the street from the OC health department. Once you step inside, though, you are transported to a peaceful, tastefully decorated oasis. There is a main dining room, and then a separate bar/buffet area where the couple had a photo booth backdrop set up. We were seated at a table in the middle of the dining room, which did get some some bright sun through the skylight, but it didn't last long. The food was good, the mimosas kept coming, and the staff was great. Of course, as only a guest I don't know what it's actually like putting together an event here, but it seemed like my friends were pleased with their experience, so if you're looking for a special events venue, The Hacienda might be worth a look. read more

My concern was the weather and although it did rain a small amount my guests were not affected in any way. The section was covered and the heaters kept everyone comfortable. I had nothing to worry about. Guests complimented the venue, decor and food. This was the first venue we toured! We saw, we loved, and we booked! Best decision. Although the venue included flowers, I went w my own centerpiece by "here come the blooms" on their list of vendors. We also booked "extreme dj" from their list. Our dj was tony estrada and we communicated w Eric morales. The coordinators were great! They made sure we stayed with our timeline, they made sure we the main couple did not forget to eat. The Hacienda is a beautiful venue. We had our wedding on 5/5/23, Cinco de Mayo, and it was the absolute perfect venue to have a fiesta themed wedding. There are so many picturesque photo ops. We got so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the venue was. We absolutely loved the venue. Here is a list of pros and cons of The Hacienda: Pros: -Beautiful scenery, you hardly have to decorate yourself since it's already set up so beautifully -Friendly staff -Coordinators were professional and answered questions in a timely manner. They also did an amazing job keeping us on schedule. -Includes separate bridal and groom suites to get dressed in. -Food and free flowing beer, wine, and champagne are included. So you don't have to worry about hiring a caterer or bartenders. -Cake is included -Large, safe parking lot -On site security -We were originally told that the mariachis we were gifted to perform were only allowed inside where cocktail hour was taking place. We were pleasantly surprised that they allowed them to continue to perform outside as guests were being seated for dinner. -The venue sets up and cleans up. This is such a plus because I was so surprised by how beautiful everything was set up and didn't have to stress about cleaning up after the wedding. Cons: -You can only hire a DJ from their approved list. Thankfully we really liked our DJ we chose, Showcase DJ. But some DJs from their list were very pushy. -I had issues with contacting the bakery to set up a cake tasting. But the coordinators were very helpful and handled the communication with the bakery. -They have no vegan options. I knew that when I signed the contract. But I myself am vegan and I had 4 guests who were vegan. I had to order Chipotle from down the street and had 2 of my guests pick up the order. You would think that they can accommodate since we are paying $100 per plate. But they refused to. I also had to have a separate wedding cake made because the bakery they are contracted with does not offer vegan options, even though their website claims that they do. -Although having a pianist play while you walk down the aisle is beautiful, be prepared to pay for songs that are not traditional wedding songs. There were a couple issues with the pianist. Originally they gave me the information for the original pianist scheduled to play. When I contacted that pianist, we had a plan on songs that were not on their approved list that we would pay $40 each song for them to learn. 1 week later the original pianist, not the coordinators, let me know that there was a scheduling error and gave me the new pianist information. I was upset with the coordinators for not communicating that information with me and they seemed aloof to the scheduling error. The new pianist was sweet and was able to learn 2 songs that were not on their approved list, costing $80. -For the rehearsal, they do not allow the officiant to come rehearse. We had a lasso ceremony and during the wedding I felt awkward and uncomfortable because we never rehearsed how and when to put the lasso on and take it off. So as you can tell, I have mixed feelings about The Hacienda. It's a beautiful venue with friendly staff. It's a sort of all inclusive venue, but I wouldn't recommend it for people who are particular about details. read more

Wow. I am still reeling from our wedding this past weekend. It seems like so long ago that we found The Hacienda and booked our wedding. We were still in the middle of a somewhat lockdown so I never actually saw the venue until months after we were already booked (my parents went and did a venue tour and I trusted their judgment). The venue is quite unsuspecting from the outside and where it's located. Once inside, it's a beautiful historic-looking hacienda ranch. It was affordable, local, and fit the kind of intimate and homey vibe we wanted for our wedding. I understand how hard it is to be working from home and not full-time in the office during the pandemic, so while emails may not have been answered right away, I always received a response and it was always courteous. Another thing is, you might not always be communicating with the same coordinator; however, nothing was ever lost in translation and all notes were accounted for when it came down to the final event. After months and months of correspondence by email, I had my details appointment in September (for our December wedding) and it was nice to walk through the venue and talk through the details for table settings and where to have the ceremony, reception, et cetera. I was pleased to know I had a whole selection of cake designs. Right now, the popular trend is the plain frosted cake with flowers but I am not a huge flower fan so I got a pretty cake with scrolling detail. They were also accommodating to allow me three meal choices as we have some vegetarians in the family as well as ensured us of no peanuts in the food due to a severe allergy. Of course, I thought of more things after the fact and continued to email them over the next few months until our wedding. I'm pretty sure I even emailed them the night before with more last-minute changes. During the rehearsal a few nights before the wedding, we worked with Amelia and she was so sweet with helping walk us through the ceremony and collecting all our items for the big day (e.g., cake topper, toasting glasses, decorations, seating chart, signs, guest book, etc.). I didn't see most of the venue until dinner started (the rush of the ceremony and dances, I didn't have time to look around haha). They truly brought my vision to life! If you're not settled on getting married during "wedding season" in the summer months, I would highly recommend December around Christmas time because the decorations truly elevate it to another level! I was nervous about how the food would taste because we never had a tasting but everything was delicious during dinner (I didn't try the appetizers, but everyone seemed happy!). One thing to note is the wedding party can only access the venue 30 minutes prior to the ceremony so I didn't get to take any "getting ready" photos prior as we had arranged with our photographer to arrive to the venue an hour early and take photos on the outside (there are a couple of nice walls and decorative doors that are cute for photos). We had booked the entire venue so we had access to two dressing rooms which was nice to have a moment to collect ourselves before walking down the aisle. All night, people were telling us how surprising it was to see the inside of the venue because it's so unexpected when driving up and parking in the small lot outside (btw, they have an attached parking lot and security patrolling the area, nice added touch). Everyone seemed to enjoy the food, the decor, and the whole night. The coordinators and staff kept us on schedule and checked in with us throughout the night. It was a magical night and I am so, so pleased with this venue. I hope to have a reason to come back in the future! read more

I can't put into words how wonderful our wedding day was at The Hacienda. Everything went so smoothly with the help of our two day of wedding coordinators. They did a fantastic job keeping everything on track and assisting in whatever we needed. The venue itself looked BEAUTIFUL. My husband and I are still getting so many compliments from our guests about how gorgeous every detail was. The Hacienda is perfect for your Spanish style wedding dreams! Everyone had such a great time celebrating, eating the delicious food and WOW the cake was also a highlight of our day. 11/10 all around. Would recommend this venue to any bride. They made the planning process very easy for a super anxious person! I considered going with a venue that was less inclusive, and I'm so glad I did not do that. The Hacienda handles and sets up everything you need to throw a great wedding. The ease of mind I had from them handling everything was so worth it, on a day when I was so stressed. The venue coordinators and planners are obviously extremely well organized, and are very easy to work with. They made the process very easy every step of the way for myself and my bridal party. Aside from that, this venue was beautiful and I got so many compliments on it! Because of the abundance of natural greenery and string lights, I didn't feel the need to overspend on floral decor (which was a huge budget saver). Our wedding at The Hacienda was perfect. In the lead-up, I didn't think it would be perfect, but after it was over, there was very little I would have wanted to go differently. (If I were to redo it, I would have better organized the family photo time; but that was on me and not The Hacienda.) The aesthetics--gorg. Our guests commented that the surrounding neighborhood looked "sketch," to which I agree, but the inside was so lovely that they literally called it a "hidden gem," and "beautiful." Again, I agree. I was confident our guests would love the venue as much as I did when my sisters arrived for the rehearsal and immediately started taking selfies. I adored the cottagecore (rancho-core?), garden vibe, and did not even order separate centerpieces, because I loved the clean simplicity of the orchids they provided. Also--they have cats! The food--overall good, but we did get some negative feedback. Some people thought certain dishes were too dry or too salty; but others told us they loved the food and finished every bite. We similarly got mixed feedback about the cake. To be honest, I barely got to eat, but I thought the beef entrée was wonderfully tender and the cake was both beautiful and delicious; and everyone polled liked the mashed potatoes and tortellini. Honestly, it was a wedding venue, not a Michelin-starred restaurant; the food wasn't going to please everyone. The drink--excellent. At first we were disappointed that we could only have 2 different types of beer, though we were able to choose precisely which two beers we wanted. But then, one of our groomsmen pointed out that few weddings have beer on tap at all. I don't know if that's true, but I'm glad he was impressed. Since our guests' enjoyment was our highest priority, and no one expressed disappointment with the alcohol selection, my husband and I were satisfied. In fact, not only was no one disappointed, but several guests told me they loved the signature cocktail. Even my bridesmaid's husband, who never drinks, liked our "meow-tini." The service--fantastic. Several of our family members told us, unprompted, that the staff was so friendly and attentive. In fact, my husband's aunt told us this kind of cute story about how she removed one of the cushions from the dining chair to place behind her mother's back; and immediately after doing so, a staff member came over and replaced the dining chair cushion; so his aunt removed that seat cushion, so that her mother could have even more back support; and again, a staff member hurried over and immediately replaced it. I am not encouraging people to go around removing seat cushions, but aunts and grandmothers are going to do whatever they want, and I commend The Hacienda staff for accommodating them. During the planning stage, I would periodically email the office with questions and receive timely, helpful responses. The staff accommodated our various requests to personalize our event, e.g., by allowing us to feature a dog as a ring bearer, allowing us to do a post-ceremony receiving line in lieu of photos, implementing our signature cocktail idea, and letting my sister play the keyboard during the processional. And on the day-of, everyone we encountered was so good at their jobs. On the day of the rehearsal, we brought our supplies, but left it up to The Hacienda to set everything up; and they did a wonderful job! They perfectly arranged our displays, and thought of everything that I hadn't. For example, I remembered to provide cute markers for our guestbook, but *they* provided a cute glass to prettily display them in, which I hadn't thought of. They cut the tags off the flower toddler's basket when I had forgotten. I'm sure there was more that I never even noticed. Their attention to detail was impressive. Finally, I must give a shout-out to our day-of coordinators, Art and Christin, as well as DJ Julie, who sometimes works at The Hacienda in addition to DJ-ing. Art seemed to turn purposely turn a blind eye to our family's and groomsmen's mischief, which I thought was very restrained of him, because I myself lost my temper with my family and would have lost my temper with the groomsmen had I known what they were up to. After the pre-ceremony photos were over, I was clearly very distressed, and Art asked me if I wanted something to drink. I initially declined and he said, "Not even your cocktail?" At this, I perked up and said, "You mean the Chidi Meow-tini?" And he said yes and brought me our signature cocktail, and that admittedly made things a LOT better. As for Christin, she gently kept us on schedule, as she and DJ Julie would stop by the sweetheart table to explain our next steps. My husband also noticed that she would get him a refill before he even finished his drink. Overall, I really felt like I was able to let go and enjoy myself, because they would keep the event on track. TLDR--100% positive experience. read more
