Since I did not see a pair of size 10 boots in the long hickory style, I had asked an employee if he would check in the back for me. He left and about five minutes later, I saw him leave in his winter coat out of the store without coming over to me first to tell me if there was or wasn't any boots in the back. I was confused and somewhat shocked that he had left without finishing helping me first so I went to the manager to complain about not being helped and rudely ignored. The manager seemed somewhat unapologetic and while he did offer to help me himself, I was NOT going to buy anything from that store after being treated in such a way. Now, I have worked in retail before and I have NEVER not finished helping out a customer before leaving on a break or from the store. I also am not one for confrontation but I felt it was necessary to speak up after being ignored like BY AN EMPLOYEE. I don't expect that the employee will get anything but a slap on the wrist but I hope this Famous Footwear and the company in general knows they lost a $100+ sale that day and I won't be back any time soon. I hope in the future that they train their employees better on customer service and basic manners.

They have retractable stanchions that must be physically retracted by security to allow you to pass through the entrance and into the shopping area. THE LAST TIME I WENT, A WOMAN EMPLOYEE (NOT SECURITY) RAN TO THE STANCHION BELT AND SECURED IT WITH HER FIST AND INSTRUCTED ME TO LOOK UP AT THE CAMERA! I just turned around and spent my money at Marshalls, a much more pleasant experience. Burlington, please do better. We go there to shop, is not the airport customs!

I'm a Karl Lagerfeld Paris lover, and they have so many of his purses there. Women's clothing and underwear selections are decent. Negatives: Unfortunately, pretty much everything else. There have been times I've been in the store where I could barely walk through the aisles, since shoes and clothes had been kicked across the floor and left everywhere. Crazy customers happen, I get it, but the employees don't seem too bothered about it. In the figures/collectables/gifts section during the winter, so many empty boxes could be found from people stealing the items inside, which is super frustrating for customers as well as employees. When I handed a few empty boxes I found to a male employee, he just sighed. The employees are hit or miss. Some are very nice, but some seem like they'd rather be anywhere but there. One employee, the woman who works by the dressing rooms, is so lovely and sweet. She made my day the other afternoon with how nice she was to me. Majority of the employees I have encountered speak more Spanish then they do English, which does not affect or bother me since I do speak and understand some Spanish, but for people who struggle with it, customer-employee conversations may be difficult. Just a heads up! Overall, I think the experience here is always very dependent on the crowds, the employees on shift, and how organized the store is.

I made this request because I prefer interacting with a cashier for my transactions. I was told this was not possible. At that time, there were four staff members standing in the self-checkout area. None of them appeared to be actively assisting other customers, and despite my request, no one offered to help me. Their refusal to assist came across as dismissive, disrespectful, and unprofessional. The way I was treated felt unnecessarily rude and unhelpful, and it gave the impression that my needs as a customer were not valued. This behavior was not only disappointing but also felt abusive in the sense that I was deliberately ignored when help was clearly available. It seemed as though the staff had no interest in providing service, and their attitude created an uncomfortable and hostile environment. I believe this reflects a serious problem with both staff training and management oversight. If employees are unwilling to assist customers and instead choose to stand idle, it damages the store's reputation and alienates shoppers. Management should take immediate action to address this -- including retraining staff, holding employees accountable for poor conduct, and, if necessary, replacing individuals who are unwilling or unable to perform their jobs professionally. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of their checkout preference. I strongly urge Savers to ensure that all staff members understand their responsibility to assist customers promptly and respectfully, and to take decisive action when employees fail to meet that standard.
