Believe it or not, this is my first time at the Colorado bar. I guess it's better later than never? Haha anyways, It is located right across the street from Denny's on Colorado Boulevard and I highly recommend it's low-key, the ambiance is perfect, and the drinks are very reasonable. We had went to kabuki and decided to walk over here because my cousin said that this bar is very good and she comes her all the time, and they have really good drinks for reasonable prices. It's a nice size bar. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday night. It's kind of dark inside but it was a definitely fun time and they do have pool if you want to play. It is maybe around 2 to 3 tables of pool tables . Overall, I will come back to the Colorado bar! service was pretty fast and I did enjoy the atmosphere. Very nice bar and patrons inside as well. Good customer service, so no complaints. You can park on Colorado Boulevard. With lots of street parking available. read more

100% my local bar. All the staff are amazing. The place is like Cheers where everybody knows your name. All the bartenders from like Carlos, Mike, Stephen and the whole crew take the time to know your name and know your drink. Literally come in with my fiance couple times a week and they always just start prepping our two shots of don Julio blanco and couple beers. It is the staff that make us come back each time. Love this bar. read more

I love Colorado Bar. Bartenders are friendly, a classic dive bar vibe with a fabulous jukebox. Great place to watch a game, chill out with some friends and they have pool in the back. I love how they decorate for the holidays and bringing friends to enjoy a comfortable classic spot. read more

I was here after the Super Bowl because my cousin lives few blocks away. Nice little dive bar and was about 6 of us guys and girls we played pool and awesome vibe spot. The spot has has old school vibe but awesome pictures of different bands by the pool table and juke box with good music. Few TV's but definitely a spot to kick it and get few drinks. read more

Weekend night....95% male crowd in late 30-40s, dark and dank atmosphere, mostly alcoholics and people who look sad, lonely and at the end of their rope. Untrained young Bartenders can only pour a beer and make basic cocktails like rum and cokes. Don't come here, it's not a good time. Youll only make your self depressed and want to rethink your life. There's dive bars....and then there's this place which is the devil's pit of dive bars. read more

We love this bar! Cheap drinks, friendly people and they have 2 pool tables its our go to bar for any day of the week. Its a dive bar so it's not fancy, very laid back, they don't serve food but I do believe they allow outside food. My wife and I come here regularly and will keep coming back! read more

Terrible people and terrible service. The security guard doesn't let men in if they are better looking than him and bands people for not liking him. The owner seems to let it happen. Every time I've gone there and the black security guard didn't inset himself in my night I had a good time. I've literally been going there for 29 years and the only thing that sucks is that dude. I don't get it but don't go until they get rid of that jerk read more

One of Pasadena's most venerable bars . Spacious, billiard room, old school vinyl playing jukebox (non digital), good whiskey selection and fair prices. The regular crew of Johnny, Nelson, Tony and the guapura cantinera Dora doing what they do best: pouring drinks and keeping it real! The place is good for groups and regularly has an eclectic crowd . If you like a bunch of dudes playing pool and expensive drink prices the Colorado Bar will suffice. Pasadena is not that cool I'd rather go to a place like the Bike Shed Moto Co. where they have pricey but delicious food. The drinks aren't as expensive and the servers are hot and very professional with an edge. read more

Haven't been there in years but it looks nicer. My friend was spending a lot and paid for other peoples drinks. I kid you not after he used his card there he became a MAJOR victim of identity theft! So I'd never recommend this place. He had a whole ring of people buying things on the card he used at this bar, and he was charged for gym memberships and other products in five different states including California. He had to close the card. read more

Tony !!! Is the heart and soul of this bar. I have been coming here for years just for him. The other bartenders are great as well but Tony is my fav. This spot is a true dive bar establishment so you better know what you want to drink and not confuse it with a trendy mixologist bar. Jukebox has a great selection and the drinks are not overpriced. If you looking to just enjoy a night out without the need of getting a good selfie or trendy IG post with cute drinks. Wanted to take a date I met online to a comfy dive bar to have a quiet conversation where I could get to know him. We arrived and I was initially feeling the bar and happy with the date. Then when delivering our drinks the bartender informed us that my date didn't meet the dress code because he had on a tank top and sandals and that she wouldn't kick us out, but we needed to make sure and follow the dress code for the next time... Let me tell you, there will not be a next time. Such rules are put in place by people that want to make individuals uncomfortable for one reason or another. We were gay and went to a straight bar to be told we were not appropriate for them. This is really, really dumb and I hope more people speak out about it. read more

I have now been here twice.... Almost exactly one year apart. It has not changed, but I think that is part of its charm. It seems to be a dive bar to me. With some TVs to watch the game, a juke box, and a small stage in the front for live music. They have a full bar and they seem to have a good selection of beer. If I am in the area I would come back again. read more

Cool bar that has a low-key atmosphere. It's small, but sometimes the place can be packed in the middle of the week. The bar tenders are cool, especially the German Lady. We always speak German with each other and she always makes me laugh. The bartenders have always treated me really well here, and I always am made to feel like a VIP. Because of this, I want to do whatever I can to help them and the bar so that we can resume enjoying this great place after this stupid Coronavirus pandemic. Anyway, sadly, the city had them close until April due to the Corona thing. So I'm thinking that maybe the bar tenders may be able to get some help from the Bartender Emergency Assistance Program through the USBG NATIONAL CHARITY FOUNDATION. You do *NOT* have to be a USBG member to receive funds. I cannot put the website link here, but if you like, you can direct message me here on Yelp and I'll be happy to send that information along. I don't recommend this bar. I enjoyed it the first few times until I met Tony.. the girl bartender is wonderful but Tony is seriously uncomfortably creepy and aggressive. He has put his hands on several people for no reason. He needs anger management and a job where he doesn't work with humans. read more

I was just watching the Netflix series Unbelievable and I am like that looks familiar or like a type of bar I would go to. Had to pause it and pull up pics on Yelp... Yep, I know that bar.. Good bar, good drinks, haven't had any problems when I've gone. Friendly staff. can't say I have had a complaint. Oh OK 1. I'd rather pay a little more for an internet enabled jukebox, the lack of 33 RPMs in the old school machine can get to you. Or just put on a good variety playlist. read more

I love this place! It's the local go-to spot where everyone is welcome. Go for a drink and have great conversation with the regulars or one of their amazing bartenders. Came here during off hours, there was maybe only 1 or 2 other people here the entire 3 hours we were here. Loved this place! The juke box was great, all classic rock no hip/hop which was amazing. The drinks were strong, the bartender was super cool. We played pool for a while, I am awful and so was my buddy who I played and the game last waaaaay longer than it should have. If the 8 ball could have been like you two suck and rolled into the nearest pocket to end the misery, he would have. I would love to go back to this place, especially when there are more people here. But had a great time. Shocked at how clean the place was for a dive bar. I am used to dirty, smoky Chicago dive bars that you wonder what you are stepping in. But oh my was this place clean! read more

Looks grungy on the outside but its a friendly neighborly type of bar where you will definitely feel like you are not in LA. I wanted to try fireball and Stefan(?) was nice enough to give me a sample to try. The jukebox is a unique and fun addition to the bar. If you want to have a casual drink with friends (not at home) and want to be able to hear each other, I definitely recommend this place. read more

Don't come in here unless you are dressed like you are going to a country club. This is the first dive bar that has made itself believe that it's nice enough to implement a dress code. They didn't allow my buddy and I in because I had a tank top on. It's summer. If you really want to enforce etiquette, you shouldn't be wearing hats indoors like the bartender was. Hilarious. That's like Mcdonalds requiring you to wear leather shoes read more

If you like dark, smoky dive bars, you will love this place. Pool tables, darts, and a good juke box. Relatively cheap drinks (e.g. domestic bottles for $3.00). Laid-back and extremely casual atmosphere. Ample parking in back and no lines or cover charges - unlike most places on the other side of town. This is by far one of my favorite dives in Pasadena. Conveniently located across the street from Denny's, for those after-hours munchies. If you require beautiful surroundings or hate cigarette smoke, go elswhere. For the rest of you, the words "floor" and "ashtray" are still synonymous at the Rado. FYI: don't piss off the bartenders - they're a bit moody and will cuss you out and/or 86 your ass without thinking twice. read more

We came right when they opened so it was very empty, but the bartender mentioned it gets really packed and lively on weekends. If I came back and was able to guess the password I'd stop by when it's more energetic for a different vibe.

I've been to this bar multiple times and have always had a good experience, which is why what…read morehappened yesterday around 5 PM was so surprising and upsetting. When we walked in, there was a tall, bald male bartender and a blonde female bartender working--neither of whom I've seen here before. We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.
