If there was a zero star rating this pub would get it here's why. The food was terrible, the service was very bad also the decor was tired. I generally wouldn't recommend this to anyone at all. To be honest it is probably the worst pub/sports bar I've been to. The only thing that was alright was the chicken wings. DO NOT get the "tapas" as they are horrible but at least I could watch my football match.

Okay, this isn't your typical London pub, namely because it has something a little more than beer and maybe a restaurant - comedy shows. Okay, they aren't on all the time (particularly when I was there), but they do have them on quite regularly (usually in the evenings). Not only that but they also have a sports bar set aside for those who want to watch the soccer (and one of the things I noticed in England was that there always seemed to be a soccer match on somewhere). We ended up having lunch here - I had the beef pie and my brother had, as usual, the sausages. Mind you, here was a bit of a mix up with the order, namely because the beef pie also had ale in it, and when I ordered it as such she poured me a pint instead (which I wasn't particularly interested it). The pie turned out to be okay, though not the best that I had, and the mix of vegetables seemed to be a little odd as well. Still, the pub was pretty cool in my opinion.

Flew in on a Sunday and arrived at my hotel around noon. Immediately went to the concierge to see…read moreif he could secure me a spot since I had zero luck trying to get a reservation on line for two weeks prior. Remarkable, he scored and I literally walked around the corner and saw the long line to get into the pub first. I was seated immediately, however, and proceeded to enjoy a traditional Sunday Roast. Room was very pleasant (there are so many I got lost returning to my table from a bio brake. Roast was very good ( but no Lawry's) and the sides excellent. Could not decide if my favorite was the roast potatoes (crispy outside soft inside) or the glazed carrots. Yorkshire pudding was good but again, I am to used to the Lawry's and this is a different style. Peas were, well, peas, but very fresh. The sticky toffee cake was excellent and the Guinness fresh, creamy and a proper pour. Good thing because the selection of winners by the glass and half bottles of wine were both a little thin. Overall wine list was good but I was alone and not up for drinking a full bottle by myself. Overall, very enjoyable and to judge by the crowd and difficulty in getting a reservation, one of the more popular in town.
