I didn't have a lot of time today as my husband was with me and he is not much of a shopper. They did have quite a lot of shoes but they pair I picked up and thought I might buy were $20 and I really felt like that was too much. I will have to check this location out another time when I have more time but at first glance I did not like it as well as some of the other locations I have been to.

We're talking $2 or $3 apiece (I got a tweed skirt for $1 recently) so don't expect to find last year's hottest fashion here, but everything is clean and in good shape and you may be surprised. Unfortunately, no place to try them on but at these prices, you'll have to take the chance. You'll also find books, CDs, toys, stationery, housewares, knickknacks, seasonal décor. I snagged some gently used large Christmas gift bags for 50 cents each. If you select a used bible or prayer book off the shelf, that item will be free - though I'm sure your conscience will tell you to fork over a buck or two as a donation. This store is operated by The Common Good/Preble County and proceeds support their work of helping needy families in the community, so you know your dollars spent here are going to a good cause. When we pulled in I realized it was 2 minutes to their closing time, so I thought I'd just pop in for a quick look and come back another day. The door was still unlocked so I entered and said I realized they're about to close and I just wanted a quick look. The proprietress said, "Oh you're fine, take your time." Stars awarded immediately. This is a tightly packed shop with a little bit of everything - books, magazines, tapes, games, clothing, jewelry, wall decor, glassware, knick knacks and those things you never knew you needed. They have a member card where you get a punch each time you spend $10 and after 10 punches you get a $10 coupon. I was amazed to learn they've been in business five years and I never noticed the sign. I bought a little game for a couple of bucks. I really wanted to slowly go through all the books, since they are in no particular order and ya never know what you might find; but husband was impatiently waiting in the car so I'll be back another time. The saleswoman and I had a laugh about those situations. Don't miss this neat little store.
