There were little things missing, like syrup with the pancakes, when it so desperately needed that sweet touch, and a deeper flavor with the tomato sauce in the shakshuka. Again, very minor things keeping it from being 5 stars. Both breakfasts came out quickly and were deliiiiicious. The iced lattes were also yummy despite a couple of white bits floating around. We sat outside to enjoy the sun even though inside looked really cool with plugs everywhere for phones and laptops. They also have a book corner with some sofas for when it gets chillier. A well thought out place. Overall a great coffee place which I can't wait to return to. I do hope they stay open. Streatham hill needed this sort of cafe.

Bill the owner of 80 plus stores, originally had a shop in Brighton. All of the decor was what he had in his shop. The meal I had today has been the best meal I've had since arriving here. The service was excellent, decor a little weird but pleasant. Cindy was (our waitress) so lovely. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and was able to make suggestions in regards to the menu and of course gave us a history lesson about the company. My steak was cooked to perfectly, chips lovely, watercress just complimented it all. I also opted for a bernaise sauce to accompany it all. There is an option for garlic as well. FYI: they also have a two course or a three course menu which is available Monday to Friday, noon to 7pm. From what I saw it's a great value and the starter, main and dessert choices were very good. I wish I had dessert but I could barely finish my steak. Next time. Bill also sells a wide variety of Bill products.
