He suggested we replace the hard drive with the new Serial or SATA type vs. the old Parallel type. He took our computer and returned it next day. It took them about 2 days to do it, but they were able to salvage everything! To top it off, they also bought my 6 year old dead MacBook to use for parts and gave me a further discount from their already fair prices. EliteX are honest, well priced, and knowledgeable! I can't think of any reason to pay twice as much for "genius" service at the Apple Store.
