It is hard to describe what exactly this place is, but I'll give it a go. When you first walk in the front doors, you think you are entering a library, you are, kind of, that is upstairs and open certain hours. Once you get inside the main space, you feel like you have entered a community center or maybe a college student center. A quick look to the left it makes you think that you have ended up at a rest stop along the highway, or maybe a visitor center. With all the brochures for 'nearby' sights. I stress nearby because there were brochures for places as far away as Gettysburg. I'm not going to lie, I picked up a few brochures myself. As you move further into the space it feels almost like a concession stand and/or a breakroom. There are vending machines, arcade games and outdoor seating. Inside there is also a playground (currently closed for upgrades) and a tech lab. The big draw here is the ballroom. This space can be used for a multitude of things and is connected to other areas. Big enough for a special night, training, or informational gathering. With all this place has to offer, I'm surprised it wasn't in better use the day I was here. The library gets the most use in my opinion.

My daughter would scream coming to the center and when she was picked up was frequently off on her own. She had multiple injuries, which is understandable for a 2 year old. However, the final straw was when my daughter was bit in class, in FIVE DIFFERENT AREAS, and I was told she was bit twice. I asked to see the incident on video and that never happened. I showed the images to my pediatrician and to other people and they were uphauled by what they saw. I could see EACH TOOTH on my daughters leg. This to me is negligence. If you want to know what your child is doing on a daily basis, don't go here. Her first day was great, we got regular updates on the app they provide, but after that if we got ANY update it was alerting us when we dropped off / picked up our child. We even gave them IPADS. Yes, we donated IPADS to the center to just get updates as they said their teachers couldn't do regular updates due to lack of something to do the updates on. Nothing changed. We reached out to the owner as she told us to contact her whenever we have an issue. We had multiple issues we brought to her attention. What was her response to this? We get an email saying your daughter is being removed from the center and that day was her last day. This was ridiculous. I showed the email I sent and the response I got, to multiple people and found it to be unprofessional. Regardless, we have my daughter at another center. The funny thing is we have not one time had to complain and she's been at this one longer. She has learned and developed more and actually cries LEAVING as she has so much fun. The staff turnover is crazy at this location and seem to be bothered when you had questions. My wife dropped off our daughter before to staff members too busy on their phones than to help get my daughter settled. They even had a morning person who my daughter would SCREAM AT THE SIGHT OF. When I brought this to the attention of the owner I was told that person was not a "people person". And they are working around children? Again, you may have different experiences. I would not wish for this place on anybody and the best decision we made was leaving there!

We asked the front desk assistant if we needed to reschedule (since we did leave work for the tour) and she said "well today is pizza Friday and it will be a few more minutes (but couldn't tell us how many more minutes). First impressions are super important...if we are scheduling a tour to potentially place our children in this school, things should have been organized and prepared. Not to mention this tour was scheduled three weeks ago. This was totally unprofessional and frustrating as my husband and I both left work to attend this "tour". Also, I could understand had she said take a seat in the lobby we'll be with you in a moment, we are taking care of something but she didn't and then mentioned the tour was only 30 minutes and that we were the only tour for this day....as if our scheduled tour wasn't important. I am most definitely not sending my children here if the tour alone was unprofessional.

They have exercise trainers come in on certain days to teach our children the importance of staying active and exercising the body and playing outside! This morning when I dropped Bella off, the Medio teacher had the children sitting in a circle, she would call a child's name and that child had to get up and go to the classmate whom the teacher would name, and greet them with a "Good morning ----". Teaching them manners and morals. I think some adults need to attend this school. Lol. They have scheduled breakfast, lunch, nap and afternoon snack. If the school has to close early or will not be opening due to weather, you receive a notification immediately. The only reason Bella is leaving this school is because she is moving to another state. When my granddaughter began attending there at the age of four, she had some educational delays. She was enrolled in September 2019 and the table has turned tremendously. She started learning everything a four-year old should know and more. At Chris, each age group has their own teacher(s) and play area. This is something I really love and appreciate. They also teach the children sign language and Spanish at no extra cost. The children learn something new each day, and they have homework and progress reports during the year. We could not ask for anything more. The owner is very loving yet very stern. I appreciate that as well. Her staff is top notch and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing exceptional childcare, even infants. For a working parent and Grandparent, it is a good feeling to have a piece of mind and is put at ease knowing that your child is well taken care of. To help with this, you must sign your child in and out electronically, not on a paper. This gives parent's added security and a sense of added safety, also the doors stay looked. I used to think they were a little pricey however; you get what you pay for. Chris Learning Center is more than a 'Day Care'; it is a place where children are given the opportunity to learn and grow to their fullest potential.
