It is hard to describe what exactly this place is, but I'll give it a go. When you first walk in the front doors, you think you are entering a library, you are, kind of, that is upstairs and open certain hours. Once you get inside the main space, you feel like you have entered a community center or maybe a college student center. A quick look to the left it makes you think that you have ended up at a rest stop along the highway, or maybe a visitor center. With all the brochures for 'nearby' sights. I stress nearby because there were brochures for places as far away as Gettysburg. I'm not going to lie, I picked up a few brochures myself. As you move further into the space it feels almost like a concession stand and/or a breakroom. There are vending machines, arcade games and outdoor seating. Inside there is also a playground (currently closed for upgrades) and a tech lab. The big draw here is the ballroom. This space can be used for a multitude of things and is connected to other areas. Big enough for a special night, training, or informational gathering. With all this place has to offer, I'm surprised it wasn't in better use the day I was here. The library gets the most use in my opinion.

After a couple of months I have discovered the quality of care these people have for the horses as well as for the facilities. They take great care of the 10 plus horses (give or take as they adopt them out as they are able to do so). They provide training for their volunteers, conduct fund raisers to keep the program moving forward, and are active to teaching through various programs throughout the community such as the Scouts. The Scouts came to the farm and they learned about the physiology of horses, how to care, how to saddle and groom them. I have the most respect for this organization.

My daughter would scream coming to the center and when she was picked up was frequently off on her own. She had multiple injuries, which is understandable for a 2 year old. However, the final straw was when my daughter was bit in class, in FIVE DIFFERENT AREAS, and I was told she was bit twice. I asked to see the incident on video and that never happened. I showed the images to my pediatrician and to other people and they were uphauled by what they saw. I could see EACH TOOTH on my daughters leg. This to me is negligence. If you want to know what your child is doing on a daily basis, don't go here. Her first day was great, we got regular updates on the app they provide, but after that if we got ANY update it was alerting us when we dropped off / picked up our child. We even gave them IPADS. Yes, we donated IPADS to the center to just get updates as they said their teachers couldn't do regular updates due to lack of something to do the updates on. Nothing changed. We reached out to the owner as she told us to contact her whenever we have an issue. We had multiple issues we brought to her attention. What was her response to this? We get an email saying your daughter is being removed from the center and that day was her last day. This was ridiculous. I showed the email I sent and the response I got, to multiple people and found it to be unprofessional. Regardless, we have my daughter at another center. The funny thing is we have not one time had to complain and she's been at this one longer. She has learned and developed more and actually cries LEAVING as she has so much fun. The staff turnover is crazy at this location and seem to be bothered when you had questions. My wife dropped off our daughter before to staff members too busy on their phones than to help get my daughter settled. They even had a morning person who my daughter would SCREAM AT THE SIGHT OF. When I brought this to the attention of the owner I was told that person was not a "people person". And they are working around children? Again, you may have different experiences. I would not wish for this place on anybody and the best decision we made was leaving there!

The staff is warm, welcoming & professional. From what I seen, it seems like the activities are engaging, educational, and fun--perfect for his age group! It's clear the curriculum is thoughtfully designed to help children grow academically and socially. We are a military family and they helped us through the whole process of trying to get the military subsidy situated. I appreciate the fact that they were very knowledgeable and helpful through this whole process and patient as we kept pushing our son's start date back to make sure the military subsidy was approved before we begin. If I had to say something that could use improvement and this is a stretch here, they did tell me that they would be taken more pictures of my son throughout the day, I have received some, but not as many as I thought I would have received, but nonetheless, I do appreciate the pictures they send! I highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a caring and stimulating environment for their child

If someone asks you if you're helping with snow removal, at least answer that you're not. My neighbors and myself are elderly and not one church in the area responded, even with a "no", to my question. We were locked in for days, and never mind the county helping anyone. They're even worse b/c they dumped loads of ice on our driveways to further prevent us from getting out!

The Pastor, the community, everyone is so welcoming and loving. This is a multicultural, Christian based church where the focus is on building your relationship with God. It is a "come as you are church" where the Pastor is always on point, engaging, smart and kind. The music ministry is AMAZING - my favorite part! There is a Kids Town for infants to 5th grade - my 9 year old often wants to stay for both services so he can stay in Kids Town. There is a youth ministry for young adults called Thrive. For adults there are community groups and fellowship around every corner. This is a welcoming place that really just wants to bring help and healing to the people of Southern Maryland. If you are in the area, stop in, you won't be sorry!
