Our wedding was perfect!! They carefully take you through each phase of wedding planning and actually listens!! The ambiance was on point for our vintage themed wedding. The decor, coordinator, staff were all VERY professional. Did I mention the food?? The cake looked and tasted amazing. The appetizers and entrees were even better than the original tasting. The provolone cheese and caramelized onions stuffed meatballs were a big hit!!!

I recently attended a beautiful wedding for my friends Antony and Angela B. over the Thanksgiving weekend here and was pleasantly surprised with this wonderful venue. The Conservatory at Waterstone is located on Main St. in the heart of downtown Acworth. The weather was perfect so my friends were able to have their ceremony outdoors. The building offers plenty of opportunities to decorate and customize to your liking. The bridal suite is spacious and so is the groom's area located in the basement area across from the outdoor ceremony site. I was asked to help emcee the wedding and assist in the coordinating of events so it was an extreme pleasure to work with Michelle, the resident wedding planner here and the staff throughout the day. Everyone was super helpful and accommodating to all the guests including the wedding party. You must personally make a visit to envision your dream wedding here. The pictures don't do this venue justice. It's about 40 minutes from Buckhead and about an hour from the north suburbs of GA. They have plenty of options to accommodate your ceremony and reception needs and the catering is also done in house so it makes it easier for planning purposes. Highly recommended and going forward I plan on telling as many folks as I can about this beautiful event venue for weddings or private parties.

Suzan was our day of coordinator and she did a great job of keeping things on track and making sure we were happy.

Firstly, the service was great. The host and our server did nothing wrong. My husband had a couple of beers and thought they were great as well. That's why I'm giving 3 stars. They saved it from giving them 1. Phew. Now, with that being said, I write this review a whole day later because I cannot NOT write about our disappointment with the food itself. We ordered mozzarella wedges and fried pickles as appetizers. The fried pickles were fine, but we all took turns laughing and showing off how hollow each one of our mozzarella wedges was. It was all puff and no cheese. That was the start. Then we got our entrées. We ordered wings, a pepperoni flatbread, Cajun pasta, a chicken club sandwich, and fish and chips. My daughter liked the wings, but everything else was not good. I'm trying really hard not to use the word "terrible." My daughter described her pepperoni flatbread as, "I guess it's OK. It tastes like Chinese buffet pizza." My husband, who tries never to complain about food, said his chicken club tasted extremely burnt. I tried it and spit it out because it was so bitter. The pasta was just so very sad, and the garlic toast that came with it was even sadder. My fish and chips were not great either. No one liked the cold fries. We almost finished everything because it was late, we were starving, we're not necessarily picky, and the portions were extremely small. Again, my daughter liked her wings, so there's that. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews, but I also don't like paying a decent amount for bad food in this economy. I didn't want to complain to management because we weren't there to get anything comped, and I could already tell there was nothing I could suggest that would fix how bad our food was. I just could not, in good conscience, fail to warn the next customer about what to expect from the food

Staff at the event were all so helpful, and all of my guests were pleased with the customer service. Their prices are very reasonable, and the wedding packages include so much more than many venues offer. My wedding package included a ceremony & reception, dinner buffet & non-alcoholic beverage, event coordinator, flowers, cake, set up and cleaning fees, gratuities, and taxes. I also liked that I had the option of purchasing all of the alcohol myself (huge cost savings!). I chose a few decorating upgrades, and The Grande (and its sister location The Conservatory) have so many options for decor on hand at very reasonable prices. The venue is beautiful and had lots of great locations for pictures. It was also nice that there are several outdoor locations to choose from for the ceremony, included a covered outdoor area. The bridal suite was comfortable and spacious. My only (very minor) complaint is that the groom's area is a little underwhelming. Everything went so smoothly during the event. All of the staff kept the event running exactly on time and handled everything so professionally. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a wedding that is moderately-priced with top notch service.

Tanyard Creek Overlook, also called the Acworth Community Center, opened within the past year…read more(2023). Adjacent to Logan Farm Park, it's a combination event center and community center. The place has a large ballroom that can probably host up to 400 or so; as with most ballrooms, it has dividers to make the room smaller. While it's not particularly opulent, it's clean and neat. It has a business feel with just a touch of nostalgia; one wall of the ballroom is brick with old warehouse-style arch ceilings. The bathrooms adjacent to the ballroom are nice but a bit small; the men's room has three urinals and two toilet stalls, so there is some wait if you have a large group. Kitchen services are available. There is also a large gym and some adjoining classrooms; the community center hosts day camps here. It's a nice facility without being particularly grandiose; some of the walls are cement block, some the usual gypsom drywall. There are open gym hours. There is some parking, though if you have a large group, the lot may fill up. There is more parking within easy walking distance, though. The staff are very helpful and on top of it. I accidentally wandered into an area where they were hosting a children's day camp, and they were on my like white on rice; I was quickly but courteously (but firmly) escorted elsewhere, so it's good that they're serious about protecting kids. All in all, it's a good facility. It's not a fairy tale come true, but I imagine it's economical, and it's a good public space with friendly folks. A good addition to the community.
