    Urban Air - Cafe area

    Urban Air

Urban Air is the kind of place that makes you forget you're an adult for a minute…read more From the moment we walked in, it felt like controlled chaos in the best possible way. There are go-karts (which were genuinely fun), a zip line that suspends you over the entire park, ball pit dodgeball, arcade games, a skywalk-style ropes course jungle gym, a gladiator foam pit, VR experiences, and just about every high-energy activity you can imagine. It's basically a giant indoor adventure park. My son had an absolute blast. Shoes off, special socks on, running from station to station like he had discovered his personal paradise. We ended up signing up for a membership, which felt worth it since friends get half off when he brings them. That alone made it feel like we'll be back often. For parents, there's a café with pretty decent pizza and massage chairs scattered throughout the park where you can actually sit and pay for a quick massage while your kid burns off all their energy. I appreciated that the bathrooms were relatively clean, especially for a place with this much traffic. I skipped the popcorn because it looked a little dried out, but everything else we tried was solid. My only real critiques: staffing seemed a bit thin. Some of the teens working there appeared more focused on chatting with friends than actively monitoring the stations. And personally, I found it a little dark inside, which made it harder for me to keep eyes on my kid. That might just be my "I'm not 22 anymore" moment talking. Overall though, if you have an energetic kid and want a place where they can truly go all out, Urban Air delivers. It's loud, it's active, it's a little chaotic, and it's a whole lot of fun. To say food was lacking was an understatement, to the point where they didn't have milk. Eggs and turkey sausage isn't a breakfast buffet, it's a couple items. The reason I was told was a boys baseball team stayed there and ate everything. Okay but lacking for 3 days? Not the best HI express.

I also requested housekeeping on a specific day during our stay, but our room was never cleaned. To make matters worse, when our baseball game schedule changed and was pushed back, I asked if a late checkout would be possible. I was told that because so many tournament families were requesting late checkout, they couldn't accommodate the request. I am a IGH member also. I understand that tournament weekends are busy, but that's exactly when hotels should be prepared to manage increased demand. The volume of guests wasn't unexpected, it was the reason many of us booked here in the first place. For comparison, we recently stayed at a Marriott in Alpharetta for another baseball tournament, and despite having just as many baseball families, the staff was organized, accommodating, and efficient. They handled the influx of guests exceptionally well, including special requests and scheduling needs. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet the level of service I expected for the price we paid. Between the unmet room request, missed housekeeping service, and the inability to accommodate a reasonable late checkout during a tournament weekend, the overall experience was disappointing. I do want to recognize the gentleman at the front desk, who was courteous, professional, and genuinely tried to help. Although he was ultimately unable to resolve the issues, I appreciated his effort and willingness to assist. PS The hotel is newly renovated and clean. BUT the bathroom is tiny. You basically have enough room to close the door after walking in. Sink is in room. The room does have a microwave thankfully.

We were in the art area where the kids had an instructional paint along on a canvas, other arts and crafts, coloring, and my daughter's personal favorite, coloring on the glass. The staff was very patient and friendly with the children. The other room where we ate had a private bathroom for party guests which is a definite plus for a kiddie party. There appeared to be other rooms with jumpers and there was a class of some sort in the space that looked like the larger space. My only gripe was the bathroom in the main area wasn't the cleanest and from what I over heard the private bathroom needed some work before we got in there (NOTE: See note from the owner, I heard only half and assumed wrong). I'm not sure what time they start parties or classes, but I got there at 11:45a and the trash was near overflow level and could've used a light scrub. That said, I wouldn't mind having my daughter's 3rd birthday there.
