This is one of my favorite stores in the city. Although not the only container-type store around, it is cheaper than others (ahem, Organized Living). There is a ton of stuff in here, and I usually find something useful to keep myself organized a bit better. I have avoided this place because of the location, but the parking was really easy and they bring your purchases to the garage for pick-up. So the parking is just past the store on the right. I think it is city parking. It is $2 per half hour. The staff is super friendly and helpful. read more

This place has everything! I love organization! I love this organized store! Whenever I come here, there are lovely, helpful sales associates who know where everything is. Today I was greeted as I walked in, was shown to the aisle with "over the door hooks" and assisted throughout the process. Helpful Sales Guy even offered to reach those high up items and went to the bathroom section (his own idea) to see if they had any that weren't in the closet section. All Container Stores are not created equally. This store is better. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Since most of the people who shop here live locally, they have creative ways to package your items for easy transport. I can always find something I 'need' when I visit here. read more

I took a chance and shopped in this store for the first time and I am glad that I did. I was looking for an alternative to Bed, Bath and Beyond. I needed a specific storage item for the kitchen. I did wander around for a bit before I had to ask a salesperson for help. The store is big and has many useful storage items and storage systems for home, office, dorm room and space challenged. I recently went to The Container Store as I just cleaned out a closet that was full of junk and wanted to make it look like a proper, presentable and organized closet. I had no idea that they did the design work for you based on the dimensions that I brought in and my needs. The customer service was amazing and the quality is very good. Plus very reasonable prices. Don't drive here. They don't validate parking. You can bring your car to buy expensive shelves, but only after you've paid. Generally stores just validate parking, but this place over complicated the process. Further, they don't have custom shelving g as they advertise. The reality is they have adjustable shelving. The adjustments are not very granular either. read more

Just had a great experience with folks in the Container Store who do closet design and consulting. Really great customer service - Steven went out of his way to help me, was really knowledgeable and efficient - and when I had to modify my order later (because I did the measurements incorrectly), Norma was extremely helpful and professional. I've had to slap it down a few stars for being so insanely expensive, as I think you can get everything here somewhere else cheaper. Never go to this store after you've just been paid. Not a good idea at all. I did that once, and still reel from pain when I think of all the things I should have done with the money instead. Yeah, I am a bit more organized because of my purchases, but I could have done like the wise Yelpers have written, get thee to an Ikea! (I'm paraphrasing). I love the Container Store. I first started going to the Container Store, because they carry the InterMetro shelving system. I use a lot of their products to construct bookshelves, tables, carts, and night stands. Their products gives my apartment a nice unified and coherent look. The Container Store has a large selection of items that could be used to add to any home. I prefer accessories in my kitchen to be made of brushed stainless steel and accessories in my bathroom to be made of polished stainless steel. Their selection of items is large enough so that I can find the right type of soap dispenser or jar for the kitchen and bathroom. Moreover, it can satisfy my obsession that things in my apartment should match in a certain and precise way. My apartment is littered with small knickknacks that I purchased from the store, such as small acrylic boxes, tape measures, travel supplies, bags, bottles, and staplers. I have been going to this place for years, and I cannot think of any other place that would be better or more conveniently located. The customer service at this place is excellent. read more

Why the heck would i need a store full of containers? Well.... for those time when you need to contain things the way you want to contain them. I was able to find a bunch of random containers in shapes and sizes i was looking for. I was looking for a small container that would fit nicely into my purse and hold my hand cream and they had it. I was told by the facilities manager at work that the new hires should be told about sharing candy so i went there to get a cool candy jar. I was also able to find a rack system type thing to raise my comptuer screen. The workers there are always pretty helpful in trying to get you what you need. They have all kinds of containers for just about every sort of container need. You really can end up spending a lot of time here looking at containers and trying to figure out what you can contain with them. It's difficult to leave without buying something... even if you don't need it. read more

Somehow I think if I buy things that organize my stuff, my stuff will be organized. Like magic. Without the "project" of sorting, shredding, filing, whatever. I found a shallow plastic (read: cheaply made) container with about twenty compartments. It was expensive, something like $13 (each container), but it organizes all of my jewelry. And I don't know where else to find this specific kind of stuff. I know I could find a lot of container stuff for way cheaper at IKEA...but then I'd have to go to IKEA. read more

This place has pretty much everything you need to get organized. I was so inspired by the place that I cleaned my messy room. They have all sorts of containers, which makes it a little hard to decide what to get when I want everything. I thought about getting an eco-friendly flask, but I knew I'd get myself in trouble if I ever drank water in public. I was about to get these really nice wire mesh storage bins, but $22 for one was just out of my budget. Well, I guess when you come to these sort of places, you shouldn't expect to find major bargains. I ended getting a bunch of dairy crates, which sounds odd.
