Beautiful store design with a wide selection of plants! I appreciate how they label each plant with whether or not they're pet friendly. The staff here is very helpful and knowledgeable! Inventory may fluctuate; when I dropped in here, there were very few (3 total) ceramic pots to choose from, so I wasn't able to grab a matching pot for my planter. Note: This store is actually on 1906 Fillmore St. It was formerly Plants and Friends. We came in around 2pm on Black Friday, passively looking around. There was a decent amount of foot traffic as a lot of people ended up coming in to browse. We didn't expect to buy a plant but the Peperomia Rosso looked way too awesome to not get! If you're looking for rare plants, this place doesn't have them but they still have a good selection of plants. Chase was great at providing information on the Peperomia Rosso and the other plants we had questions about. He even wrote a care card for our plant and helped us choose a pot. I don't believe they have many options for big pots, but if you're looking for 4"-10" pots, you'll be able to find it here. Prices are decent. Similar to what you'll find in other plant shops in SF. I must say that this is my Mom & I'd favorite plant store!!!! I had such a wonderful first experience here, the owners were working and were super friendly and accommodating. So I took my mom back here a few days later and she fell in love as well. I must say that this store takes VERY VERY great care of their plants! Every plant in the store seems to be thriving and full of life- no dry or dead leaves as I've seen at a good number of other plant stores lately. I've bought 3 plants here so far, 2 Calatheas and 1 starfish sanseveria. All of my plants were flourishing when I bought them, and are still flourishing now at home. This is for a plant I bought for store pickup 7/8/20. Things may have changed. I bought a medium sized burro tail and was surprised they found its condition acceptable to give to a customer. It's a delicate plant and a HUGE portion of the leaves were knocked off 10/14/22 David at the Mellow reached out to me via email after reading my review and expressed they were so sad I was not thrilled with my plant. Oh no! I just discovered one of the branches on my money tree wasn't rooted at all, but just a stem jammed into the soil with no roots. Update: So apparently this business is really bothered by honest reviews on Yelp and would prefer we discuss issues we have with their business privately. I've ordered from them twice, the first time a little bummed about the stumpy burro tail, but still pleased with them and supporting their business. The second time they had a sale at the end of March and I bought some more plants, this time receiving the wimpy unbraided money tree. After some hassle (their emails go to your junk folder) we got in touch and via email they suggested I bring the plant into the shop to exchange it. I decided I would rather just keep the plant and care for it. Made a Yelp review so people are aware about the quality of plants they receive via delivery and moved on. Now here's where it gets messy. They responded to my Yelp review via email, but I never saw it as it went again to junk and I didn't think to look for a Yelp response via email in my junk folder. Fast forward to today when I discover one of the branches of my money tree not only died, BUT WAS ENTIRELY UNROOTED. It's just a branch jammed into the soil, which explains why the leaves turned pale and fell off despite caring for it as instructed. I posted a video on Instagram and they speedily blocked me. I now have a lovely passive-aggressive email from them that makes it clear they are angry that I reviewed them on social media and also bringing up again that I made the purchase on sale, as if I have not earned the right to criticize bad products that I still paid for. Changing my review to 1-star and making it abundantly clear that not only should you not have plants delivered from them, but you shouldn't give them your business at all. read more

Found this lil shop through Instagram and must I say, it has to be one of my favorites!! They have a beautiful store front and an awesome array of plants. All the workers are super friendly and willing to answer any questions/give tips on plant care. I'm one who usually likes to look at the plant before purchasing. However, I have such a busy schedule and aren't always available to make it to their hours of operations (12-5PM). They were super accommodating and flexible with the purchase/pickup process. For my first plant, I had my bf come choose one, pay, and I picked it up within the given timeframe. I also got a second plant that I purchased online and again, did store pick up. Both were wrapped up very securely and made it safely home in my car! Every plant I received has been of such high quality. I've been back three times within a week and a half.. and walked out each time with something new. There is absolutely no room for self discipline and I'm excited to visit again for another plant baby!! read more

They quickly became my #1 fav plant shop in SF! Most plant shops here close around 5pm, which makes it hard for full time employees to visit unless its the weekend but I LOVE that they're open til 7pm! Staff is SUPER kind & knowledgeable. They don't hover around and watch you which makes it super easy for me to shop. Their website has all the info you need and if there's something they didn't answer, you can just chat them! The quality of their plants are great as well - I didn't see a single sad plant in the store. I came here 2 times in one week and bought 3 plants. One of the days was a Sunday and they had live music right outside! It made waiting in line so much better. Gonna make my third trip in a few days!! :) You pay via Square on their phone so you can check out anywhere in the store. Wonderful local plant shop and amazing service. I purchased a plant for for delivery to Daly City. I had some questions about delivery timing so I reached out via Instagram, and they were so responsive! They also let me know I could note my preferred delivery date (so long as it fit their delivery schedule) when ordering online. The morning of delivery they sent an email with a timeframe of when to expect them, and my delivery driver texted me when they were about 10 mins away. They sold me an unhealthy Ficus Audrey for $100 and refused to exchange it. I sent multiple pictures and details about how the plant degraded in a matter of 10 days. All the leaves are now limp or have fallen off. I bought multiple plants from this shop and personally drove multiple friends of mine to this shop over the last two months! ‍‍‍The fact that they wouldn't do anything to help a returning customer is baffling. I went in for the first time today. The store is beautiful, plant selection is great for the size, it's very beautiful. Downsides: 1) None of the plants are labeled with care instructions or what kind of sunlight they need. I'm sure the workers can educate customers but shopping would be easier with some labels 2) They do not re-pot plants because it "shocks them." I was prepared to buy several plants today but I have a small apartment, do not have bags of soil at home (nor want to), and do not want to make a mess in my little kitchen. I walked by this store since outside it smelt so good! The owners were smiling right when I walked in and told me about their Palo Santo they were burning (hence why it smelled so divine!) I was on my way to a yoga class so I didn't buy anything but they gave me one free Palo Santo stick (crazy nice) and made me feel special despite not buying anything. I live nearby and remember the store being an apparel store or something. My how they transformed it!!!!!!! Feels good to know that this is a store for EVERYONE to enjoy not just men. I've gotten 3 or 4 rounds of house plant purchases here, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful, both with picking out new babies to add to the family, and with tips when some of my plants aren't doing so well (pro tip: it's really easy to overwater!). Since my first visit in five months back, I've gotten seven plants from here. All alive and healthy; some growing so fast I've had to repot already! I definitely recommend for shopping online for nearby SF delivery, and visiting the shop.
