Hubby and I decided to do something different and try the 5-course tasting menu. Eric and Hannah were very helpful, pleasant and efficient. Our amuse bouche was a truffle infused cream with cayenne -- the taste of truffle was very subtle and designed to stimulate the taste buds. The citrus salad with frisée lettuce, cow's feta cheese and orange slices was very tasteful with honey Dijon vinaigrette. The beef tartare appetizer(served enveloped with smoke in a glass dome) with hand cut potato crisps was a wonderful contrast to the citrus salad; every bite was tender with the occasional peppery hint of minced green onion. Our seafood dish was phenomenal--the sablefish was perfectly seared and seasoned, very moist and flaky. The lobster ravioli nestled underneath was deliciously creamy and melted in your mouth. We were then served a lemon sorbet to cleanse our palates. Our main course was a New York striploin with Madeira reduction and a side of broccolini, yellow pepper and mashed potatoes. Dessert was a passion fruit crème with mascarpone, crumbs and garnished with a raspberry. Please allow a good two and a half hours to enjoy this tasting menu (reservations are strongly recommended). Kudos to the owners Eric and Dawn and our server Hannah for providing us with an excellent, well-paced dining experience!

The owner seems to weaponize feedback, which is completely toxic. Sure, you're the owner, absolute respect to you for making this fair in this industry, it's accomplishment. However、please do not ask serving or bartending staff if you don't want genuine feedback. The owner will act against you. We requested one time that Blaine (the owner) does not come on floor if he's had more than two drinks and if he's not dressed in proper uniform. As an owner, sure, to some extent that's fine. But when you threaten a server, who is still new, you will fire them based off how long you're doing menu tours is not acceptable. If you didn't know, menu tours are just running through the drinks and food, which can take a considerable amount of time when you are busy. Now imagine the owner is so disconnected from the reality of the service, is also five drinks deep in the office. The owner will award you back off a few good days, but if you have one review where a customer believes you didn't believe you delivered "a personable experience" you're done. Now, that seems rough, but imagine an owner who values complete bullshit over actual truth. But I mean hey, would I work an environment where the owner can flip a switch, absolutely. We saw they were going to open at 11am, and decided to try our luck by getting there right at opening since we didn't have a reservation. We got lucky and got seated right away! - PARKING - Street parking, make sure you take note of how long you paid for! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The ambiance inside is so nice and airy, with greenery and natural light shining through. There's also a super cute swing area next to the bar area that you can sit. I really liked the overall interior design! The staff was very attentive for our large party throughout our meal. There are bathrooms downstairs as well. - FOOD - Bacon Jam Benedict ($20.00): Loved the flavor combination in this! The sweet savory maple bacon jam worked so well! We upgraded to the fried potatoes ($4.00) and they were pretty tasty. Carrot Cake French Toast ($24.00): We got one to share with the table, and I'm glad we didn't commit because it was just OK to me. I wish there was more mascarpone filling, and also a different sauce than chocolate because it didn't pair well for me. Winter Nights ($19.00): We wanted to get some greens in and chose this salad. I enjoyed the mix of greens and also the fennel salami which gave a salty bite! Truffle Parm Fries ($13.00): We also got this to share with the table and you can't go wrong with these! - OVERALL - Great brunch option if you have a small or large group! Really nice airy ambiance for a nice start to your day.

There were many tables available including 4 swing seats by the bar. Very cute inside! Bathrooms are downstairs. Street parking only. Service: For a party of 12, our servers provided great and quick service. Food: -Cold Brew ($6) with Sweet Cream ($1): it seemed that the cream curdled in the drink. The taste was okay but it got the job done. -Breakfast Bowl ($24): braised beef short rib with 2 poached eggs on a bed of caramelized onion fried potatoes. Large serving, it was perfect to share with 2-3 people. -Kale Caesar ($19): topped with cheese croutons which were interesting. Also great to share with 2 people. Overall: Porch is a cute brunch place that can fit a large party. If you're looking for an aesthetic place, I recommend this place!

Everything about this place is top notch: the food, the vibe, and the people. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about vegan food and made fantastic recommendations. The hot pot was hands down the best curry I've ever tasted. The sauce had this gorgeous brightness and depth that made every bite unforgettable. The yam fries with miso gravy were exceptional, and the peanut sauce with the tofu satay was absolute perfection. The dinner ambiance was lovely and cozy and you can tell the servers genuinely enjoy their jobs. That kind of positive energy makes the whole experience even better. If you're in Calgary, vegan or not, The Coup is a must visit. Phenomenal food, phenomenal service, phenomenal atmosphere.

My partner and I went for happy hour, and we were the only ones in the restaurant when we walked in just after 4pm. I really liked having a bit of a quieter atmosphere. Our server was quite personable and recommended a variety of dishes. We got the Brussels sprouts, satay broccoli, eggplant nigiri, and the soup of the day (Indian style tomato chickpea). The Brussels sprouts were punchy in flavor, and the broccoli was nicely fried with an earthy peanuty sauce. I would highly recommend both. I also got the Sunny cider, which wasn't too sweet. To finish off, we got the ube cake to go. Unfortunately it wasn't our favorite, and it was too small a portion to be priced at $12 in my opinion. With happy hour discounts, our bill came out to about $60 including tax and tip. Not cheap, but it works nicely for a little "treat yourself here and there" outing. Hoping to go back sometime in the new year!

They haven't even replied to my messages. They do not care about patrons at all. I have written this review on multiple platforms and have even left a formal complaint with the BBB of Calgary. DO NOT waste your time on this business. They are horribly run. Said email: "I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the December 31 event at Lounge 18, which I attended after purchasing three cocktail hour and party tickets. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the expectations set by the event's promotion or the standards I would expect from your venue. The quality of service throughout the evening was extremely poor. The drinks served were noticeably watered down, and on two separate occasions, drink orders placed at our table were completely forgotten. The server's presence was very infrequent, resulting in wait times of up to 45 minutes to receive a drink. Additionally, the first drink we received at midnight was empty, and the following drink had visible lipstick on the glass, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness and attention to detail. Other advertised features of the event were also lacking. The "photo booth and props" were essentially non-existent, and the dance floor was far too small and poorly arranged for the number of guests in attendance. The music did not reflect the DJ experience that was promised and instead sounded like a generic playlist rather than a professionally curated set. Due to the overall poor execution of the event, we chose to leave early and ended up paying full price to attend another event elsewhere so we could salvage our evening. This was my first experience at Lounge 18, and regrettably, it left a very negative impression. Based on this experience, I am unlikely to return. Given the circumstances, I believe a partial refund would be appropriate, and I hope you will take this feedback seriously. I would appreciate a response regarding how this matter can be resolved. Thank you for your time and attention."
