Beyond the antiques, they also offer locally-made bath products. We are Starbucks lovers in this household so I couldn't pass up the Starbucks bathbomb. It was perfect! The buyers have a great eye for antiques, especially art. The oil paintings were captivating. One in particular caught my eye and I asked about it. Linda was kind and helpful, never condescending or snobby to my questions about it. I told her I would sleep on a decision, as the painting was (for me) pricey. I could not stop thinking about it and I knew it would haunt me if I didn't take it home. I returned the next day and Linda had the painting waiting for me. They carefully wrapped it for me and offered to carry it out to my vehicle. It was such a great experience, from start to finish. Entering the art world is very intimidating for a newbie, but they made it welcoming and approachable. My new painting is the focal point of my den and every time I see it, I smile and think of our wonderful trip to rural Virginia.

I've been antiquing for 40 years, (yes, I'm that old-something of an antique myself) and I have also worked at antique/thrift/consignment shops so I'm familiar prices and quality. With that said, most of the prices at this antique shop are exorbitant. Be prepared to drop three "bills" for a rag doll... four bills for a hutch... Look, I know some of these items are unique, some date the Civil War era, but even the brass, figurines and baskets are high priced. I think I saw an old broken wreath for $20. Even that wasn't worth the "poultry" amount. I've seen similar items at other antique shops for a lot less chicken feed. I don't mean to ruffle any feathers, but with all the antique shops in the Culpeper area, save your nest egg for a more reasonable shop!
