My Mom became a member first in 2023. When my teenage son and I moved to Miami to be with my Mom, we joined as part of a family membership in which each of us pay slightly over $800 each per year. My Mom goes regularly for weight-lifting and other exercises classes and works out in the gym. She also plays tennis at the Country Club. My son goes regularly to the gym to workout on the exercise machines and to lift weights. He also plays tennis at the Country Club. I go regularly to the outdoor swimming pool for water aerobics classes. I will eventually go to Zumba and other exercise classes. This is a very nice, clean, beautiful and well-maintained country club, gym and pool. They often have social gatherings like the BBQ (hotdogs and hamburgers made to order) near the pool for the 4th of July, the end of summer pool party and an event at the tennis club with free food (sandwiches, salad and cold cuts as well as fruit and drinks like soda, water and wine) and a DJ spinning dance tunes. Members get a discount each time they go to Le Parc, the nearby bakery and restaurant under the same management whenever they show the number on the key fob provided by the Coral Gables Country Club. The pastries, gelato, fresh lemonade and meals at Le Parc are delicious! There is also a golf course which will soon be under the same management. My Mom already knows how to play golf but my son and I don't know how to play yet. I hope my son and I can take golf lessons from a pro there. The staff at this Country Club and Gym as well as at Le Parc, the Tennis Center and Golf Course and Swimming Pool are all polite, friendly and professional. First time attending a wedding at this venue. Our neighbors who just moved in a few months ago, graciously invited to their special day. The facility is located in the heart of the Coral Gables, beautifully grounds all around. It is however, an athletes club and a pool for those who are members of the country club. It was a little odd to look up as we walked toward the building and see people working out on the second floor or see people with inflatables as they head to the pool area. I have to admit it was kind of humorous. Anyways, we were there for our neighbors wedding. The place is fancy, the ceremony was held in a room which if I am not mistaken it was called the Fountain room. Very intimate room, it probably sits about 75 people maybe a little more or less. It all depends on how the party planner or the customer chooses to decorate it. The second room we were escorted to was the cocktail room where they have the bar and a few pub style tables for your drinks, not really a place to sit down as there are no chairs in this area. You will however, much on finger type food or hors d'oeuvres such as mini sausage croissants, mini spring rolls, mini Mahi Mahi ceviche, mini chicken croquettes. All delicious! The reception/dining room was very nicely decorated, it is not that big but it feels very intimate. The dance floor is somewhat small as my husband I kept bumping into the other dancers. This room is where you will also be served your dinner, today we had a delicious salad with baked apples and an entire that Had a little bit of everything for all as it had your beef as in filet mignon, some type of crusted chicken which was also very good, fresh asparagus and carrots. Looking back I wish I would have finished my plate but I didn't as I didn't want the people on our table whom we didn't know to think I was a hungry girl. Overall, this is a very nice place, nice location, very nice people such as the servers. Not sure if the dj came with the venue but he did a great job and he also did done singing of his own. This is the third year that I can recall Del Monte has had its annual holiday party. The last year it was in Comber Hall at the Church of the Little Flower which was not as nice, although I did win a free TV during their raffle. The Xmas lunch included a wonderful mixed salad, chicken leg and a lovely chocolate desert. Unlimited drinks and I had a few. Even though the corporate office shares the same building you rarely get to know everyone except when you ride the elevator, so this holiday party is the one time that you can spend some serious face time with all of the employees in Corporate HQ. I tend to get up in between each course and make it a point to introduce myself to new people and wish a happy holiday to those that I do know. During the party there is an acknowledgment ceremony of people who have worked 5-35 years with the company, and as each 5 year increment is called out more people sit down. It's astounding how many people have stuck with the firm for over 15 years even. The company also typically raffles off a few gifts too. Then there is a good bit of dancing as the DJ pumps up the music. It's always a fun affair. read more

Want something convenient to play some golf without so much production? This is it! Love the course! It's easy to check in and just get into the game. Parking is close to the clubhouse and pro shop. The staff is very friendly and will accommodate you as best as possible and the people who usually play in that course are great! (Some maybe better than others lol). The course has a good amount of bunkers, not many water traps, but try to stay out of the trees! Definitely recommend it! They have water aerobics that believe it or not is a lot harder than it looks. The pool is large enough that you can do laps and is rarely full to the point that a lane isn't available. For those of you thinking about having a wedding reception here please don't. I'm here tonight attending the wedding reception of good friends and the reception room next to the pool is so inadequate. There are about a hundred guests and the space is so awkward for a party this big. It's divided into two rooms with the second room (that half of us are stuck in) being about a half flight above and behind the first room. The reason why this doesn't work is because the acoustics are terrible and we cannot hear a single thing. Also there are column barriers preventing the half of us stuck in this room from seeing the festivities below. This is an expensive venue and a pretty penny was spent on using this space. I'm a physician and have attended weddings all over the world, I can honestly say this is the worst venue I've ever attended for a reception. I would equate this with being stuck in economy class on a plane and being seated in the back by the lavatories. Save your money and you'll be happier elsewhere. read more

The venue is now reopened after a year or so of being closed for renovation. I went to their Valentine's Brunch today. The buffet was fresh and reasonably priced at $45 a person. There was an ample selection of salads, cheeses, entrees, omelet station, breakfast pastries and desserts. The service was excellent too. I will definitely be back. Something to note is that they add 20% gratuity to the bill no matter the size party and it's listed on the bill as "tax 2." read more

I attended a wedding at The Atrium Room exactly a month ago (Saturday, November 7th). I was one of the best men's +1. In fact, my boyfriend knew the groom since childhood. So we were really looking forward to witnessing this special moment. And we really took the time to even choose the right card, and needless to say something valuable that would remind them of their big day. Unfortunately, I had placed our gift underneath our reserved table, and by the end of the night, since the gift was out of sight, and in the mist of joy, I completely forgot it. I incessantly called the venue the next following days to recover our memento to the newly weds, and I finally got a hold of the banquet manager by Tuesday. He said he was going to follow up with his staff regarding the matter and call me back. An entire week went by without hearing back from him. By Tuesday of the following week, I decided to follow up and after leaving a couple of messages, someone finally reached out to me just to tell me "no one found anything that night". Please don't get me wrong, the place is beautiful, the food was great, and we had the perfect crowd. Fortunately I follow the Coral Gables Country Club on social media and noticed that my fiance and I did not receive a complete tour of the venue. I'm not sure why this happened. I'm led to believe our age and the fact we are a biracial couple had something to do with it. After having to wait 35 minutes to start our appointment the professional choice would've been to give a complete tour and not cutting it short. Lorena's inability to follow with the quoting and catalog information thereafter was also evident she had no interest in helping us. I just worked a wedding here and this venue is absolutely beautiful! There were two weddings going on at the same time and the staff did an excellent job at keeping both parties separate. The staff is extremely helpful, kind and efficient. Even with both parties going on, there was plenty of parking - always a plus. I will warn you though, the wedding I worked had their cocktail hour inside towards the back and they had hired a violinist to play during that time. It was a big waste of money. The room echoed so much that you couldn't hear the music. This is a great venue for weddings. With the right planning, this place will provide a beautiful ceremony. Nice place with very bad service!! If you are becoming a member to play tennis, this is the most horrible place in FL. The courts are good, but the management is horrible. The service is outsourced who knows how many times and whoever holds the key, will never give you option to play. Constantly closed. Nobody picks up the phone. I've been paying for a whole year and managed to play twice. The constantly changing working hours and guest fees, made it pointless to pay this guys for the service they claim to provide. Attended a wedding reception here a few months ago and was extremely disappointed with the staff. As other reviewers have noted, the staff are generally rude and unhelpful (something that several of us independently noticed early in the night). Worst part came toward the end. The wedding couple had left a small memento for each guest, including a personal note. When we returned to our table after dancing, the tables had been cleared (be aware this happened while the reception was going on, not after) and the staff had taken the notes+mementos. When we asked for them, they were unhelpful and suggested we steal one from one of the tables not already cleared (despite the fact that they were personalized and that their owners were still at the reception)! It's a beautiful venue, but the night was ruined by the staff. I recommend against having your reception here. read more

I was invited to attend our Firm Christmas/Holiday Soiree at this venue in early December and what came as a big surprise to me was my Firm was so counting on my participation they made sure to order ahead so I had a chauffeur courtesy of Uber to bring me from North Lauderdale all the way back down to the Gables for their Saturday night party (caveat: I do this journey roundtrip 5-days a week on public transportation; and it's 3 hours each way. . . on a good day!). I could tell from the "greeting" I received from the employees there that they aren't too use to having people of my background/orientation flamboyantly sashay in through the front door, but hey I get it, this appears to be ground zero for the last collection of wealthy WASPs anywhere in Miami-Dade County and I am clearly not a member! Arriving early (the first in fact of my party) I decided to cozy up to the bar, but trying to do so was a non-starter as I was curtly, and politely informed that only MEMBERS can drink at the bar, and I'm not a member, am I? Uh no. Case closed. I wondered through its hallowed halls laden with holiday wreaths and glowing candles and marveled that this must be what it feels like if there really was that uptight country club in Caddyshack and me just an interloper. Pretty soon my fellow colleagues and bosses filled our room and the drinks were flowing (and yes, free, yippee!). The adjacent salon where we had our meal was a rather delightfully festooned room in pink, silver and gold and the food was certainly exquisite; it being the Gables and a country club after all. I really enjoyed my time I spent there at the Firm Party but not being a member I can't see that I'll be back... and I'm sure they want it that way. read more

The Coral Gables Country Club I am honestly at a loss for words. The staff and my coordinator, Lauren McDonald were more than amazing. Lauren followed up with me every step of the way and the day of she was such a huge help and very professional. The venue itself was breathtaking. I knew from the minute I saw I did not want to see another venue. The lighting made the room come to light even more and the food!!! OMG!! was amazing! herb crusted chicken, mushroom risotto, and veggies! If I could have my wedding every weekend at the coral gables country club I swear I would. I am not one to write many reviews but I had to do this one. My friend recently got married at the Coral Gables Country Club and although she is still on her honeymoon (lucky girl!) she entrusted me to do this for her. She wanted me to share not just her experience, but mine as a guest. First of all, the place is a multi-event facility but guests would never notice because it strategically has separate entrances. I noticed because I snooped around. Second, it's classy with a classic and yet contemporary look. My friend had her wedding in the Atrium Room, which is stunning! You need to go see it for yourself! You will never see a venue like this in Miami. She also hired the "best" wedding planner who helped decorate the already amazing space. The food was more than we ever could have asked for. We had steak and lobster in one plate, which made me very happy since I don't eat meat and my husband even more because he had my steak. The event was a full 5 hour event and the bar lacked nothing. Of course, she totally upgraded to the best liquor, but I heard that even their standard bar is still 5 hours! The staff was attentive to all of our needs and of course my friend's. The coordinator (Lauren) were all over her and her fiance's need. The banquet managers were also very visible (I got to meet them - very nice guys - Hector and David). Bottom line, this is a place that I had not heard much about even though I have lived in Miami all of my life and my friend and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a magical and perfect wedding! read more

Oh my God must I say this is the most unprofessional venue I have ever seen in my life. The staff is a joke. The receptionist is rude from the moment you walk-in without calling for an appointment when clearly over the phone they say you can walk-in and look around. After we decided to over look the rudeness of the receptionist thinking maybe having a bad day and deciding to book the venue. What a mistake!!! The coordinate then started becoming rude on our second visit on the tasting for the food yelling at the employees in front of us because the bread that was served to us was still frozen, the wine was not chilled and the table wasn't set. After this I hired a party coordinator for decorating and taking care of everything else he in the past has worked with this venue and he as a matter of fact recommend the venue to me well anyways he asked me to meet with him at the venue to discuss what I wanted and what he was going to do to the ballroom. So I arrive at the venue boy what a mistake the was from the moment my left foot stepped in through that door the receptionist piercing eyes and look of what are you doing here without an appointment just burned a hole through me instantly. I explained to her I was told by my event decorator to meet him there to discuss our plans for the ballroom her immediate response was well you don't have appointment so you can't go into the ballroom I then decided to ignor her and waited for my event decorator. When he arrived he walked me through his thoughts and vision for the ballroom about 10 min later walks in the rudest receptionist ever ( the face you first see at Coral Gables Country Club) telling my decorator he can't be in there and to move our conversation to the cafeteria. Boy she ticked of my coordinator he told her we were paying clients and already had reservations she said it didn't matter the manager didn't want anyone in there he then told her to get her manager so he can have a word with him she left and no manager showed up. He then apologized to me that we were treated in such manner and he ever recommend the venue. So finally it comes down to the couple of days before the event and I had read in the contract I signed that food and beverage are taxable and also food and beverage ( alcoholic and non alcoholic) are taxed an 8% and then has the following sentence of Gratuity will be added before the taxes. Clearly this is English and when read no were on there is it stating gratuity is taxed but the circus clowns at Coral Gables Country Club believe that, that sentence is stating that the tax of 8% is going to be added after the gratuity has been added to the total of food and beverage. When this was brought up at the last meeting for final cash payment it created an up roar started with the lady from the tasting at first tried to fight it and couldn't get her self out of it she went of and got another girl to try and convince us so it got down to that I wasn't going to pay that day would come back the following day immediately the rude lady from the tasting shouted then we will cancel the event so then I said get me your manager she tells the other girl get Axxxxxy and see if he wants to speak to them. So Axxxxxy apparently decided to speak to us and came in to try and convince us that what is said on the contract is tax will be charged on the gratuity so the conversations goes back and forth and finally he says to me you realize that it's $120 dollars we are arguing about and I said yes and he laughed in my face literally. I immediately told him it wasn't funny there's a lot I can do with a $120. Again another evidence that the Axxxxy the GM is what the other 2 other girls said he was. Is just as unprofessional and is running a circus. Please save yourself all this headache. Because it's not worth your hard earned money. read more
