Came for afternoon tea right at 4pm. Place was mostly empty and service and experience was excellent. Tea,, sandwiches, scones and desserts were sumptuous as well! All in all a great experience, the room colors are a bit garish for my tastes.

When in London... we highly recommend you do a High Tea at the Coral room in Bloomsbury. The entire restaurant is this gorgeous Coral color. Connected to The Bloomsbury Hotel... You get this incredible welcome feeling as soon as you walk in. The art work on the walls is a local artist, last name Hall, didn't capture his first name.. but, very very talented... and goes nicely with the Caribbean chic vibe... The tea, outstanding! We had the whole tea experience plus... Steak carpaccio, and the beet and goat salad... we just loved the little desserts with the Queens face in sugar Hours at 2:00 to 4:00 for the tea service. Just go!

I came to London from the US for one day and stopped at the Coral Room for tea. I was looking for a high tea experience like I used to have with my grandmother when I was a child and I found it!! The tea sandwiches were outstanding and scones and desserts to die for. We were served by Joel and he was brilliant!

We had a reservation during the week and we're seated right away. It wasn't busy but by the time we left it had filled up a bit. Our server/waitress was so great, kind, and friendly. Things were a bit slow as it looked short staffed but we honestly weren't in a hurry and didn't mind. All of the food, drinks, and room were beautiful and presented well. The sandwiches were all seemingly dry, a bit bland, and very little filling. Our favorite was the egg sandwich. The scones were also fairly dry but the jam and clotted cream helped a little. The desserts were beautiful but also didn't love the flavors or textures. Overall, I wouldn't recommend for tea but server was amazing.

The Coral Room was an awesome High Tea experience! Great décor, very Instagramable, friendly and delightful staff, great variety of teas and tasty treats! We enjoyed our afternoon gathering here and would recommend to any and all! It is on the pricey side, but I think it was worth it for the wonderful afternoon tea!

A staple in London! Just a 5 minute walk from The British Museum. Great looking spot! My review was a 5 star because the first 10 minutes were great. Then we never saw our waiter again even though we asked 3 times for service. Be ready to be happy with 1 drink and wait 1 hour for the next round

This is one of my favorite stops in Europe! The food is great and the service is amazing! The scones are the best scones I've ever had in my life and the drinks were 9/10! Definitely coming back next time I visit the UK! I particularly liked the lychee coconut cake! The atmosphere is great and very unique, making it easily one of the most creative and aesthetically pleasing places I've been! 10/10 atmosphere 10/10 service 10/10 scones 9/10 drinks 8/10 sandwiches 9/10 deserts Prices for high tea set (including pastry sampler) are ~40-55£ per person (60-75USD$) depending on whether you order alcohol on the side!

We popped into The Coral Room for drinks one afternoon and had a really nice time. It's beautiful and very cozy inside, and service was prompt and friendly. We had an espresso martini, city of lights cocktail, and wine along with some olives and peanuts. Everything was delicious!

Favorite place in London! My friend recommended this place to me because it's relatively cheap for afternoon tea compared to many big hotels. It's around £40 per person, which is definitely worth it. There are three layers on the tower. The bottom layer consists of savory sandwiches, the middle layer consists of scones, and the top layer consists of sweet desserts. All three layers were delicious, but my favorite were the scones. The scones are unbelievably good. These are the best scones I've ever had in my entire life. They had some really interesting finger desserts too, like a mango cake with a hint of chili. Everything was amazing, including the interior. You can get some cute afternoon tea pics here. Lastly, the service was great. Our waiter was very professional and polite. I would 100% come back the next time I'm in London again.

Whilst it's not the most posh place I've been, it usually gets the job done well. Drinks are how you would find at most pubs, and service is decent too, given how a waitress came to ask us what we wanted and served us amidst a busy rugby game (at other times, we had gone to the bar to order ourselves). There are quite a few tv screens as well as a big home theatre-like one too, which always adds to your sports watching experience. I've never had food here before but would like to try sometime. I hear that their wings are good. Be sure to bring an ID -- as its part of a casino facility, they check your ID even if you're here only for the bar and not for gambling.

Oddly, to open a tab, you have to give them both your credit/debit card AND your driver's license/passport/ID card. They give you a "badge" which you then show every time you order, apparently so they know which tab to bill it to. A bit weird to me, but maybe that's the norm in London, or at least in high-tourist bars in London. Also, they won't let men inside if you are wearing a hat-- you must remove the hat to enter. Fortunately, once inside, I put my hat back on and didn't have a problem with anyone saying anything. Glad my hat hair didn't have to be on display!

We came across this place and decided to give it a try. We were greeted by two people at the door and invited inside. There are multiple floors that you would not expect from the look of outside. We were respectful and nonpolitical, she assumed from our ethnic backgrounds and treated us accordingly. She verbatim said she will not serve our kind. Then proceeded to tell all her bar tenders to no longer serve us. Regrettably we had to get our drinks upstairs. She went out of her way to stare at us from the top, making my mother uncomfortable. If you want a pub without employees making every thing political, this is not the spot. We do not even entertain politics, she just put us in a basket. This is the first time in my life I had to exit the pub because of the brainwashed ultra lefty employee. I love all people and people on the left, it sucks that this extremist ruined the night after spending our hard earned money. Honestly the pours were weak, the lighting was poor, and the drinks were heavily overpriced. It's some fake Irish bar.
