Often in colors or with chocolate drizzled over them to create beautiful patterns, they are so pretty and tasty. Meza, the owner,loves to decorate and it's apparent in all the dipped treats she creates. There are chocolate covered marshmallows (my kryptonite) and Oreos, pretzels, Rice Krispy treats and even cake pops. Most are dipped in milk chocolate but she will do special orders of dark chocolate for people like me who prefer their chocolate on the less sweet side. She also makes custom cakes and custom treat orders decorated with colors and designs of your choice. Meza grew up in The Dalles and is so happy to be part of the community. Partnering with other local businesses, she also creates gift boxes combining her treats with other items. Next time you need a hostess gift a birthday gift or a "just because" gift, stop by! The recipients will be delighted and you are supporting a local, woman owned business. . And of course stop in to satisfy your own sweet craving. The boutique is quite large and everything is well organized in small sections with plenty of room to walk down the main aisle and around each area. The minute I walked in my eye caught a burnt orange scarf a mannequin was wearing. Immediately I took the scarf off the mannequin knowing it was actually a lace tablecloth, perfect for the fall and Thanksgiving. For $15, I didn't even have to think about it! So many wonderful items, something for anyone's style and budget. Old leather objects and jackets; vintage phone from the 30s; tea cups & saucers; wooden trunks refinished and could be used for end or coffee tables; vases, serving pieces, estate jewelry, fashion jewelry, art, small pieces of furniture, barware, glassware, and vintage material & clothing. Fell in love with a pair of off-white boots with flowers embroidered up to the knee. They were stunning! If only they fit! A one of a kind statement piece. Hanging on a wall was a macrame owl. Quirky, homemade, vintage - I had to have it! That's what is so fantastic about these type of stores. Hundreds of people probably walked by that owl without a pause and yet it stopped me in my tracks! In addition to standard art like canvas and pictures, I like to adorn my walls with different expressions of unique art. This owl will definitely do that. And for $12, no risk. The owner is clearly passionate about her business, as excited as I was for my "finds!l She was chatting with several customers that obviously stop in often and just as easily made conversation with tourists visiting from out of state. She packaged my items in a bag with orange tissue and a bow, definitely a boutique touch. First time here but I will be back, for sure. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The best item though? THE RANCH! This ranch is THIQQQQQQQ. It's like a Dairy Queen Blizzard. You can hold it upside down and not lose any of it. It now comes in a party size to take home with you. The store itself has a little bit of everything, and the people were super friendly. If you're passing through or camping nearby, do yourself a favor and grab some chicken (try to order ahead) and a xxxxxtra thiqqqq ranch.

Clothing is brand new, never worn, and ranges from t-shirts to jackets to sweatpants to sweaters and accessories. You never know what you will find as product is always moving. Same with food items. Pasta, cookies, cereal, canned veggies and fruit, candy, bread, coffee, seasonings, soda, bottle water, lots of snacks and more. They are close to expiration but most have a shelf life far past that date. Items are arranged neatly and easy to see and find. Lots of cleaning products, too. Many are the Awesome brand found at the Dollar stores but they also have the main brands like Clorox, Windex, Snuggle, etc. What brought me in was the rakes, shovels and yard tools. They had a large assortment and at much better prices than big box or local chains. Even some planters in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors for far less money than elsewhere. Like $5-10. You need to wander around as the store has aisles going both vertical and horizontal and pathways that lead to areas which I guess could be considered a "department" like the garden supplies. Those working here are always unpacking items, arranging product and keeping the store organized and clean. They are super friendly and helpful, too.

Kids played a few games and we had never seen a library kiosk that prints out little stories - neat! We hung out for over an hour and it had a cozy small town vibe where everyone knew each other. Staff were friendly and we'd definitely come back.

This cozy little bookstore is right on E 2nd in The Dalles and is a throwback to the friendly, neighborhood shops of yesteryear. The bookcases date back to when the shop opened, adding to the charm and warmth. Books of all categories (fiction, mystery, cookbooks map, gardening, thrillers, travel, brewing, baking, sci-fi, classics, children's) with new releases and even some out of print items represented. So fun to peruse through the various titles as time disappears and I get lost in the magic of printed words and stories. In addition to the varied book collection, the shop has some beautiful puzzles, gorgeous journals, pens, unique stationary, lovely cards, gifts and some toys for children. The staff is passionate about books and it's evident. The gentleman working there the day that I stopped in was so friendly and helpful, offering suggestions on books after I told him my preferences for a summer read on a lazy day. A must stop for anyone passing through The Dalles. Love supporting local and I will be visiting again and again!
