I always thought it was super high end and expensive for some reason. We decided to just browse one Saturday morning and we ended up having a great experience! There is metered street parking in the front of the store, but there's also a large free parking lot behind the building. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and asked if we had been in before. When we said no, the friendly employee gave us the lay of the land and told us there are three floors to the store and that it's much bigger than it seems from the outside. Totally true! I always thought this store was small, but it's really huge. We started browsing through all the setups and were immediately impressed by the styling of each area and all the different items. They have all kinds of furniture, decorations, and rugs. Prices were clearly marked which I appreciated since it shows they're not trying to hide anything. I was pleasantly surprised that I found quite a few things that would fit into our budget, along with higher-end, more expensive pieces. They also have a clearance section which we looked through. The pieces I saw mostly swayed more modern and a little less traditional, which is more my style anyway. Upstairs we found a coffee table that was a major upgrade from our current table, but still in our budget and actually quite affordable. It has a metal base and a glass/ceramic top that looks and feels like marble. Super sleek and sophisticated! Christine was upstairs and asked if we needed any help. We asked her about the process for purchasing as we wouldn't be able to fit the table into our car. She told us that we could pay for it and come back with a larger vehicle, or we could pay $60 for local delivery. SOLD! I am all about that convenience and for $60 they can pack and carry the pretty heavy table. We paid for our purchase and Christine was super awesome with the whole process. I am so glad we finally stopped in to Stonesthrow and I can't wait to go back! She did say that they also do special orders if you know something you want and they are able to get it in store. Highly recommend looking here instead of Wayfair etc. for a local option. They also provide interior design services!

I purchased beautiful but expensive interior shutters for them to install. And they did in a…read moretimely manner but had to come back to fill some screw holes, caulk some cracks around other screws that were not properly pre-drilled. This was faux wood. What I didn't know was that just a little rain would cause the bottom (unsealed) to soak it up and bubble - I had left the windows open one night and some rain water got on them. There is no caution regarding water in the literature or warranty. So because these were "interior" shutters it was my fault they bubbled up. Flair refused to fix or replace them.

UPDATE #2 (06/22): After complaining directly to the main company of Budget Blinds (BB of Kzoo is a…read morefranchise), they said they would contact Kal and work to see this resolved. Nothing happened for a while though when I reached out again to them, we got a call the next day from Kal and all traces of attitude were gone. He came out to inspect the blinds and then just left. We had to call to find out what was going on and he said he needed parts to fix the blind or would have to replace the whole thing. This is kind of funny since one of the only times he answered our calls during the 9 months of trying to get this fixed he said he was waiting on parts to come from Mexico. Then the time I got ahold of him in March, he told us that he's had the parts for a while. I guess neither of those were true. We've had to call him multiple times for updates and now he says he is once again waiting on parts and told us with an annoyed voice that he would call us when he had them. I guess we are back to having to call regularly to see this resolved.

Further, both when I dropped off the lamp and when I picked it up, the lady who worked with me was very kind, personable, prompt and professional. So pleasingly, they fixed my lamp by the next day and the cost was extremely reasonable!! Great service is so rare these days, but these folks knock it out of the park with an excellent and consistent customer experience. The sales clerk appeared reluctant to look up the piece in a catalog and was unwilling to look in more than one reference. Her complete disinterest in pursuing a sale seems to be a company policy; other store employees who were not helping customers were well within hearing did nothing to encourage customer satisfaction. I would discourage anyone from patronizing Hodgson Light, Log and Patio.
