My wife and I went to the Crestwood Blvd location at ~6:45PM on 3/10/2020 and were seated promptly. We waited and waited for someone to acknowledge our presence. There were 7 employees just standing around chit chating or on their phones. We finally got up and left and told them why we were leaving and that we would be sure to tell our friends of our terrible experience. They just said okay. No we're sorry or any kind of apology. I would like to report this to the owner if I could get some contact information. I rarely post a review unless it was a good experience but this one was totally awful. We left angry! read more

Now this place has very delicious food. The seafood boils are excellent. I recommend the shrimp and snow crab legs combo! Unfortunately the ambience is the reason for my 3 stars. They had a DJ blasting uncensored rap music. There were children in the restaurant. The service was ok though. My wife and I went out to eat here tonight and it was wonderful! The building was clean, the bathrooms were clean, the service was friendly, and the food was wonderful! Highly recommend getting their house sauce which includes a little bit of all the sauces mixed together. SO good. They also have a DJ that plays on Saturday nights. For starters , my server 'Kira' was really nice ! If I was to go based on her alone they would receive 5 stars. When I arrived and walked it , it smelled like smoke. The smell was really bad but I stayed because I had people meeting me. I overheard someone say that a server set a trash can on fire so I assumed that's what happened. When my guest arrived we place our drink order which came out pretty quick. We also went ahead and placed our food order. Our food took almost 30 minutes to come out which was just crazy to me. We passed time by coloring on the tables which was pretty cool to me but the wait was awful in my opinion. When my food arrived there was close to no seasoning and it tasted fishy. I ordered the special which was all of the seasonings together but it still tasted bland. It was also a very small amount. I order a half pound of crab legs and i didn't even get a full cluster. I'd probably never go back . Next time I'll just go to the seafood king on lakeshore parkway. It taste much better, the wait is short and you get a much bigger portion for the same price. read more

Bad customer service and long wait time for food. I wouldn't come back to this restaurant ever.

Tonight my partner and I went to this place since its new in our community. When we got there, which was around 5:15 PM, it was not crowded. We were "greeted"---and I use that word loosely---by the hostess. We asked for a table and she immediately escorted us to a booth. I HATE booths. She did take us to a table, gave us each a menu, and said the server would be with us shortly. We sat at our table and not one server even looked our way. After several minutes of sitting there and being ignored, a couple was seated maybe 5 feet from us. One of the waitresses greeted them and said "I'll be with you in a couple of minutes." And guess what? She was true to her word to that couple. We got up and left. As we walked out the hostess never looked up and asked why we were leaving. I doubt seriously we will darken that front door again. read more

Good seafood, they offer typical fried fare plus a Louisiana shrimp bag with potatoes corn and sausage. Reasonably priced. Service is friendly but always seems a bit short staffed. The dessert menu looks delicious and I ordered the lemon coconut cake last time I was there. It was frozen, old and stale so I sent it back (rare for me but it was a $5.50 inedible brick). The waiter returned stating management will not allow me to exchange or return the cake. What? We just spent $70 on our dinner and this is how we are treated? Another waitress on the floor tried to make it right but I had a feeling there would be heck for them to pay from upper management so left it alone. We've dropped lots of money in this restaurant since they recently opened but that $5.50 is the last cent they will ever see from me, the seafood wasn't that special. read more

I don't know why they have less stars than what I gave them, because they are amazing..consistent with the food, and excellent customer service. I'm always excited when I come here...my biggest thing with any restaurant is cleanest and customer service. As soon as you walk through the door you can tell everything is spotless, and again I can't say it enough everyone is super friendly, helpful and excellent with their service. I got the calamari appetizer and headless shrimp and crab legs as the entree. The calamari was OK, nothing special, but decent. But the crab and shrimp was AMAZING! The house special seasoning really set it off I will definitely be returning here soon for crab and shrimp! read more

Please season the food properly. I got the house seasoning mild, but what I received was spicy grease all over my food. The Seafood King off Lakeshore is sooo much better. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see them lasting long there. And to the owner, you need to revise that no exchange policy. Because if I order something and it's not up to par, I'll be damned if you tell me I can't exchange it for something edible or refund me my money. read more

Love this place! The house seasoning (spicy) is my favorite!!!! Not a fan of the extra large chicken wings. I crave the shrimp with extra sausage! Comes with corn sausage and potatoes already basking in that delicious sauce. I have to have an order of hush puppies to accompany my meal. The service is amazing and I spoke with the manager to let him know how much I enjoyed the place. He was welcoming and pleasant. I consider myself a frequent visitor here and the food is always so good!!! I usually always get the combo seafood boil with crawfish and crab legs and my seasoning Cajun Hot. umm umm good. They give Crab crackers, scissors, gloves, bibs, as well as plastic utensils so, it's the perfect setting to get down n dirty and enjoy some good seafood. I went for a birthday gathering and quite enjoyed the atmosphere and our waiter was great. What I didn't love was the lack of seasoning and no liquor license. I had a half pound of shrimp and a half pound of mussels in the Garlic Butter seasoning. While the seafood was good it was served in a greasy, buttery, garlic mess. In my opinion these things were just added to the bag and they weren't cooked in. Avoid this place, it's a rip off! The food is terrible. They don't give you real silver utensils, normally handed out at restaurants. They only give you plastic utensils to flimsy to eat with. Could not cut my food. You have to eat with your hands. I ordered lobster??? They offered to wash a pair of cutting knives to give to me because that was all they had in the building. Also, your food is served in the bag it was steamed in. My entire meal was served in a plastic bag to be eaten that way. I ordered lobster and crab legs. It was terrible. We got the house seasoning with extra sauce on the side. It was a DELICIOUS mess! They provide gloves and bibs to eat with. The house seasoning was Cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper all together. Put the extra garlic that sunk to the bottom of the extra sauce on potatoes, corn, and dipped our crab in it. We can't hear the hostess that is an arms length away from us. We're seated and our server comes over. She's sweet, but we can't hear her and she can't hear us. The food was ok at beast. This restaurant has an amazingly addictive house seasoning.... get this since my first visit I have been every single day in a row for 5 days ! Need I say more ? The crab legs were perfectly boiled... the corn, potatoes and sausage are finger licking good! Do not forget to add a boiled egg in your bag. They provide you with gloves and a bib... I was a little skeptical about going based on the reviews but my babe and I decided to go anyway. We went on a Saturday night and only had to wait about 5 to 10 minutes to be seated. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was delicious and well seasoned. We got the boiled seafood with crab legs, shrimp, corn, potatoes and boiled eggs. We both were very satisfied and I am from Louisiana and I am pretty picky about my boiled seafood. I was not disappointed! We liked it so much we ordered take out for dinner the next day and was still satisfied with everything. I would recommend anyone to just try the restaurant out for yourself and hopefully you have a great experience. We will be back and hope we can have the same great service. read more

My review: Upon arrival the hostess seemed confused as to where to seat us, but she did get us seated. Took Kela (our server) about 5 minutes to greet us. My wife ordered a margarita and I ordered a Bud Light draft; it was at this time Kela told me they did not have any draft beer. (Although it's on the menu and there are taps at the bar). I ordered a Bud Light bottle. It took roughly 15-20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We placed our food order at this time. My wife ordered the fried shrimp and I ordered the fried catfish and an order of hush puppies. While waiting on our food they began playing very loud music (at 7 pm). I intentionally looked at my watch and it took 31 minutes for our food to get to the table. When the food arrived it was hot and it was very delicious. Kela checked on us twice, and one of those times I ordered another beer. This one only took about 10 minutes. So in my final analysis, I will say the bar staff and the kitchen staff seriously need to pick up their service times, we waited much too long for a restaurant that was not extremely busy. Our server Kela did a good job doing what she was responsible for (smiling, checking on us, being friendly etc). The loud music needs to go. I'm in a restaurant not a night club. Our tab was $44 and I left an appropriate tip for Kela. I "might" try them for lunch one day but until I know they have stepped up their game I probably will not join them for dinner. Very unprofessional. I have been here several times before and have never had an issue like I had today. I made a trip up to this location because they don't take call-ins and it's the closest one to me. I ordered my food in between the waitress talking to and hugging other customers. I thought about the price after waiting for my food for a few minutes and figured I paid too much. I looked at my receipt and also realized she gave me onion rings when I asked for sweet potato fries. I addressed this with the waitresses and they said that I had to explicitly say lunch special when ordering during LUNCH and also because it had been a few minutes and my order was almost ready, that I would have to reorder and pay more money to get the sweet potato fries that I asked for that was misunderstood by the waitress. They wouldn't just make the sweet potato fries that I asked for and they wouldn't give me a refund for the onion rings. Now I have food that I paid too much for and onion rings that I don't want.
