I booked my stay at the Crescent Hotel in Fort Worth through the American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts program and had very high expectations. Unfortunately, while the property itself is beautiful, my overall experience was deeply disappointing. Check-in started on a positive note. I was greeted with a glass of champagne and the front desk staff were warm and welcoming. However, things quickly went downhill from there. I was never provided a welcome letter outlining my Fine Hotels + Resorts benefits or basic hotel information. I didn't realize this until I reached my room and wanted to use some of the amenities. When I returned to the front desk to request one, I was told none were available and was directed to scan a QR code instead. The QR code only linked to the in-room dining menu and restaurant reservation pages, which was not a substitute for the information typically provided with an FHR stay. Upon arrival at my room, the staff member assisting with my luggage repeatedly called me by the wrong last name and made multiple comments about my ethnicity, including saying my name sounded Indian but that I "didn't look Indian," followed by personal questions about my background. While I believe the intent may have been friendly, it felt inappropriate and uncomfortable. The room and property are undeniably stunning, but several functional issues made the stay frustrating. All of the lights, including those in both bathrooms, appeared to be controlled by motion sensors or timers that could not be adjusted. While getting ready, the lights repeatedly turned off, forcing me to stop styling my hair and walk around the room just to trigger the sensors. This became extremely disruptive and inconvenient. Additionally, the main desk in the living room, which was the primary power source in the suite, did not work at all. After attempting to troubleshoot myself, it appeared to be broken entirely. Because this was one of the only areas with multiple outlets, I had to charge devices in random locations throughout the room. Communication with the hotel was also extremely difficult. The in-room phone repeatedly lost connectivity and died while I was attempting to place orders. I texted the hotel to report the issue, yet staff continued trying to call the malfunctioning room phone instead of my cell phone, despite me explaining the situation multiple times. Calling the hotel directly from my mobile phone often resulted in busy signals. The most frustrating part occurred after checkout. I was incorrectly charged nearly the full nightly rate despite having prepaid through American Express. When I called to resolve this, I was placed on hold for nearly 35 minutes after being told it would be brief, and no apology was offered. Although I was told the charge would be reimbursed, the refund was incomplete because my American Express breakfast and amenity credits were not properly applied. I had to call again to request an additional correction. Across their website form and multiple phone calls, I was never initially provided a folio detailing my charges. It wasn't until the third call that I spoke with Sarah, who was exceptionally helpful. She went out of her way to email me a PDF folio and personally coordinate the remaining reimbursement. She was the only team member who truly resolved the situation, and I greatly appreciated her professionalism. This was my first visit to Texas, which I noted in my reservation, and I had hoped for recommendations or guidance from the hotel, especially given the Fine Hotels + Resorts experience, but none were offered. It's genuinely disappointing because the Crescent is a beautiful property with so much potential. However, between the service issues, operational problems, billing errors, and lack of follow-through, this was easily my worst Fine Hotels + Resorts experience to date. Considering the price point and expectations associated with this program, the experience ultimately felt frustrating and not reflective of luxury hospitality standards. A very nice hotel in a great area and friendly staff. I was there for a conference and the experience was great. The hotel did a nice job with the food, the meeting area functioned well and the environment made it easy to mix/mingle with the others, and it was easy going between the meetings, the rooms. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The bed was excellent and all of the fixtures were top quality. It was a great place to host a meeting and a comfortable place to stay. read more

I spent over 1000 for my granddaughter and her husband to have two evenings (mini-honeymoon) when they got married a few weeks ago. Customer service was non-existent. There was not a remote control and it took over 24 hours to get one. They took the courtesy shuttle to a local club and were told it would be available to pick them up. When they called, they were told it was not available and they were tuck with no transportation. They valeted their vehicle and were not informed they would be charged another 100. for doing that. On Monday early am, other guests in the hotel walked into their hotel room. They were given a key to an occupied room. I have called the hotel and expected a call back. No one has reached out to apologize for the horrible experience.. I'm upset because I could've gotten them something much nicer for 1000. read more

I left some items in the hotel room dresser when I stayed there a month ago. I called and they sent me a link to inquire with the lost and found. I accessed the link and filled out the form. No response for weeks. So I called the hotel and they said they would follow up. No response. I have literally called the hotel at least 15 times trying to get my items back-I have been put on silent hold for 10 minutes+ at least 5 times. I've had the people who answer the phone tell me someone would call me back at least 10 times and no one has called back. Last week I asked for the Manager and left a message being very clear about the need for a call back to resolve this minor issue and still no call back. I'm guessing this hotel is constantly booked to capacity because their customer service is HORRIBLE and NO ONE CARES. read more

First the good: This is a gorgeous hotel. Easy $20 self serve covered parking right across the street. Comfortable beds, lots of pillows and amenities. Loved the shower. Lively bar both before and after a concert. Everyone we spoke to, customers and associate, were very friendly. Loved Brian the car service guy- and that there is car service. Complimentary prosecco for the bday was a lovely touch, as was being asked if I needed a water when we were in common spaces. The $65 cheese board to the room was yummy. The Rest: When we got to our room, a large swath of carpet was very wet so we threw a towel down. The snack cabinet & fridge had been well raided and not replenished. One bed had less pillows than the other. We were awakened at 7am with loud banging outside our window- a hotel worker was doing something so loud I could hear through noise cancelling ear plugs. There is also a lot of construction around the hotel making it hard to get there. GPS led us in circles and when we called and told the hotel worker exactly where we were, he was not in anyway helpful. From NY to SF, I have never stayed at a "luxury hotel" (they liked to repeat this often) who didn't warn about loud construction happening, or street construction that might make it more difficult to park. I also had an issue with something before arriving I needed dealt with. I left a message and was told it could be fixed and a manager would call. Called again 3 days later- same. Five days after the first call when I was at hotel, I told all would be fixed only to have to call again later, after leaving hotel. They have what appears to be awful communication and follow through. I was sadly disappointed in the experience. The last call made me feel a little better, but I will definitely choose another hotel next time I do a staycation for a concert with someone coming from states away. read more

This was an extremely uncomfortable experience. While sitting at the hotel bar, a bartender yelled at my boyfriend in front of a full room, without giving reason. It was embarrassing and unnecessary. The bartender was an older man with glasses and silver hair, making it easy to identify who was working at the time. We expected basic professionalism and instead felt unwelcome. We left shortly after and would not recommend this bar or hotel. read more

Very nice luxury hotel that opened in November 2023. We were there with a large group of 18 people. The meeting rooms are quite nice. The food that we were served was top-notch, especially for a large group. The rooms are very well designed with lots of special features. For example, the shower is extra wide and you can turn it on without getting sprayed. There is an automatic nightlight in the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful. read more

A Stay Full of Problems and Disappointment Our stay at the Crescent Hotel in Fort Worth was unfortunately full of incidents. We arrived around midnight after a long flight, and the receptionist barely acknowledged us. The reservation had been made and paid for by a company, but without any explanation he charged my personal card for the entire stay -- we assumed it was only for a deposit. The room itself was beautiful, but it was located directly underneath the smoking area and bar, making the noise absolutely unbearable. We had to change rooms that same night. The next morning, we were forced to change rooms again because the air conditioning system was blasting cold air even when turned off. We later learned the building was set not to exceed 20°C -- and there was a long line of guests at reception complaining about the same issue. The worst part came after checkout: I realized I had accidentally left my Dior shoes next to the bed. I immediately called the hotel, but they claimed that housekeeping did not find anything. It was deeply disappointing and upsetting to realize that my belongings would not be returned. Overall, this hotel was unprofessional, poorly managed, and deeply frustrating. FINALLY I called the reservation line that sent me the phone number to the front desk. Front desk didn't answer and sent me to voicemail. 06/24/24 - This is a beautiful newer hotel (Nov. 2023) by the Kimball Art Museum. The staff have been attentive, kind and wonderful. The food in the restaurant, lunch time was good. My only thought process is that they might add a few more items to the menu for dietary diversity (like I needed). The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and relaxing. Exception: TV AND NO frig. It is dumbfounding that in 2024 they would not put Smart TVs in the rooms. So no access to any of your apps you like to watch or access for like meetings or zoom or something like that. Total FAIL. I did find out that they could loosen up the TVs some so you could connect via HDMI cord and USB. The phone wasn't working in my room at all I had to do everything via my cell phone in calling the front desk. They were very attentive and great at helping me order room service, adding an extra day, reservations or anything I needed (Thank you Abby and the other front desk people over this last weekend. Landon in Engineering). Found out that the phones are all connected through a cloud service. Therefore, it is digital based and the hotel may need 3rd party to fix. Maybe still working out the glitches on that. Sometimes analog isn't bad. There's a drawer with the drinks in it but refrigerator. That is also dumbbounding. Who wants warm white wine?! All in all it's a fantastic hotel except for those 2 dumbfounding FAILS. I hope they choose to correct these issues so other guests can avoid what I had to go through. We will definitely be returning and staying longer. It is a fantastic hotel and the area is excellent to eat and explore. read more

We recently stayed here for my wife's 40th birthday celebration and we were not disappointed! We normally stay downtown at another luxury hotel but after this weekend we will only be staying at the Crescent. From the moment we arrived we had the absolute best from their amazing and friendly staff. Brian the valet greeted us before we had even brought the car to a stop (more on him in just a bit) and had a luggage cart brought over to us immediately. From there we were greeted with the biggest warmest smile from Cassius, the bellhop, within the 20 steps we took from valet to the front desk we witnessed 3 guests who were departing either shake his hand or hug him to tell him thank you for making their experience so enjoyable. By the end of our stay we would feel the exact same way. Anytime we had the pleasure of running into Cassius he always kept that contagious smile on his face, remembered what the purpose of our trip was, and answered any questions we had with excitement and thoughtfulness in his answers. Our room, a suite, was extremely clean, had a great layout and wonderful amenities. Our bed was comfortable, linens were soft, pillows felt new, and the showers water pressure was adequate. The main things we look for when staying somewhere. After unpacking we went downstairs to meet friends at the bar who were also staying in town for the weekend. Our bartender Vince and our waitress Mia were awesome. We all had such a great experience with them we spent the rest of our evenings during our stay there enjoying cocktails rather than going out as we had previously planned. Cassius had made us aware of the car service during one of our conversations but we didn't expect much as most hotels "offer" the same service but never seem to have availability when needed. Not the case at the Crescent! As we stepped out for dinner we were about to summon an uber when Brian came jogging up, Brian is never standing still and always moving at a brisk pace, he asked if we were heading out for the evening and would we be needing the hotel transportation. I told him we already had reservations so I didn't think we would have time. He was on the phone before I could finish my sentence and quickly made us aware a car would be showing up momentarily to take us. When the car arrived a young man by the name of Momen, forgive me if I spelled that incorrectly, hopped out to greet us. From there on out Momen dropped us off and picked us up from every event we had planned for the entirety of our stay. Momen was very soft spoken, well mannered, and never let anything get under his skin while hauling us all over downtown on a busy stock show weekend. The Crescent should be proud of their beautiful building, great location, wonderful rooms but should be more proud of accomplishing something that very few hotels ever do, a wonderful team of employees. Not one employee ever showed an ounce of displeasure in doing their jobs, that is something I have never witnessed in all my travels. Cassius, Brian, Momen, Vince, Mia, and the rest of your staff is what has earned my business along with I'm sure many more other guests. Underwhelmed by this very expensive hotel. Great location across from the museum district but pretty lackluster in decor and personal attention. Stood at the reception desk ignored while 2 employees took care of one customer. Room coffee maker out of supplies and hidden in a dark alcove. Coffee urn in the lobby had old cold coffee. Emailed several times post-stay for info about bill, never got a response. read more

Gorgeous hotel - stay away! Arrived to check in. Check-in was flawless - got to my room and the lights kept turning off on their own. Called to the front and literally instead of "hello" listened to the front desk have an entire conversation before the addressed me. Told them the situation and they said engineering would come up. 30 minutes later - no one showed up - so I just said please change rooms - moved to a much less desirable room. Went to shower and the hottest it got to was lukewarm. At the end of the stay they asked how it was and I said it was unsatisfactory and they had the manager come out. He said "let me adjust your bill." I looked at the receipt and said "wow, you basically comp'd the whole stay." (Was very impressed by that). Got my credit card bill this month and no refund. I called back and spoke to the manager who said they adjusted my bill by $20. Needless to say not happy and not going back. As someone who lived in Turtle Creek in Dallas, everyone associates The Crescent with upscale style & sophistication... So when I was planning on a little get away for my husband to celebrate an early anniversary & saw a brand new Crescent Hotel in Fort Worth?! Say more more, I was so excited but the excitement definitely faded fast unfortunately. The Fort Worth location completely lacks all of the grand beauty and glamour that the Dallas location simply oozes. The over all atmosphere is minimalist modern and looks like entire living rooms were just copy and pasted from a generic furniture show room floor, nothing stands out as a fantastic feature or splendid personality inside the lobby or the rooms. Upon check in, the front desk was welcoming and kind, our room was ready even though we arrived early, this was greatly appreciated. I had been in communication with Gary the concierge weeks prior to our arrival, discussing dinner reservations, offers through the hotel etc. Gary had specifically mentioned that he "can have an amenity placed in the room" for us since I did not qualify for the room upgrade/food credit special through the hotel itself. I thought that was a very thoughtful gesture and appreciated the kindness considering our anniversary. When my husband and I arrived in our room - there was no such amenity nor even a simple card celebrating our visit. This was a pretty big let down for me especially since I had been talking up the hotel the whole time leading up to our trip. I let the manager know when we got downstairs that the whole "moment" was missed but he said they would do something to correct the situation. They left a cute little plate of heart shaped macarons while we were out exploring the city. We did enjoy the outside patio area, the nights were absolutely beautiful and my husband and I had a wonderful evening during the "social hour" with a couple of cocktails. This location unfortunately lacks all the little details that make a property "upscale," for example the lighting in the hallways at night are as bright as can be where as other truly luxury hotels would lower the lighting to a more moody & comfortable setting once the sun goes down. Another tiny yet noticeable example is how the canvas work that's displayed down the hallways were definitely not measured correctly or thought through properly because the gold frame covers half of the room number placard that's on the wall. The shower is spacious & big but the shampoo and conditioner is so far away from the overhead rain shower that you get chilly on the walk away from the warm water just to get to your shampoo, conditioner or soap. We also had to request to have our room turned down, this was not automatically done throughout the day as one would expect at a higher end hotel. The staff was nice, they offered bottles of water and they had a complementary hotel car to take you to locations within three miles from the hotel. We did enjoy a wonderful breakfast at Emilia's one of the mornings. The room was spacious enough however at night at the top of the curtains - the brilliantly bright lights from the exterior leaked right through. Not from a crack in the curtain that I can use a pants hanger to fix closed but from the very top and the light was so bright it reminded me of leaving the light on in the kitchen but was too lazy to go turn off. I love staying in hotels for the freezing cold AC and the wonderful uninterrupted sleep but unfortunately the light leaking through definitely made it difficult to fall into a deep dark slumber. Over all I would say that this location was comfortable enough but in no way resembles the type of experience I was expecting and highly anticipating. The modern look is clean, simple and tame but in no way was anything about the stay memorable except maybe for the fact that I did end up being charged for that plate of heart macarons... read more

I stayed here for a wedding and there were many issues. first every time I called to ask about my reservations once to see if I could come in an extra day. I talked to someone and was told someone would call me back that never happened. second was to request an early check in the lady said she would call the front desk and call me back to confirm I was granted the early check in. again never happened. then when I arrived there was no electricity in the bathroom I had to shower in the dark and dry my hair and so my makeup in the bed room with horrible lighting. Also the snack drawer and drink drawer was not full. I called to have it refilled and the guy on the phone reassured me he would have someone come and do so but NO never happened and the bottle of lotion had been used and was only half full the wedding was in the court yard in a tent and it had a portable AC unit but they didn't close the doors on the tent so it was very hot. they should have had the AC unit cooling at least 4 hours prior with all doors and windows closed. lastly wedding started at 6:30pm and dinner plates were not served until 8:45pm. whom ever owns this hotel needs to up the service if they expect to stay open. very bad experience read more

I wanted to love this hotel. But it's really just a Holiday Inn with fancy counter tops. Service was fine but not great especially given the price point. Tried to go to breakfast and a very distracted hostess instructed me to go wait in the lobby when I tried to sit at one of the dozen empty tables (no one waiting). Amenities were sparse in the from and the beds had saggy mattresses. Definitely won't be staying again. read more

When we got to the room the safe, TV, and heater would not work. In addition, a light would not turn off when it was time to turn off the lights and go to sleep. I called the front desk a least 6 different times because of basic failures of the hotel to ensure all the equipment was properly working. An engineer was sent to my room six different times to make adjustments. The heater never properly worked adequately after two different visits from an engineer to make adjustments to it. One last issue, the most important, the sheets (bedding) are of poor sub-standard quality (cheap), and not adequate for a four-star priced hotel. read more

The hotel staff is terrific and could not have been more accomodating. The hotel, artwork aside, is very disappointing and feels like it was an after thought to fill out the development. The guest check-in is adjacent to the front door, which during peak times will create a trainwreck at the front door. The bar area is expansive with plenty of perimeter seating, but it is centered around an oval shaped bar with a large fixture in the middle, with liquor and TV's on front and back. Too bad if you are on the ends of the bar, no TV's for you. Must have been designed by someone that does not like sporting events. What is the purpose of an oval shaped bar, if you can't see the other side ? Emilo's menu is very uninspiring. Apps, salads nothing special and the chef does not allow protein on salads. Might want to re-think that so the wait staff does not have to keep apologizing for a " stubborn " chef. The rest of the menu, six pasta dishes and 4-5 other expected entrees. Rigatoni with short ribs, Bucatini and Artic Char were good, but not worth a second visit. I booked the Hotel Crescent suite, which happened to be on the second floor, with a terrific view of all the stop lights at the intersection of Camp Bowie and Van Cliburn Way. Really, for $900/ night, that is the best you can do? The size of the sitting area was fine, but some out of ¹control interior designer put so much over sized furniture in the room, it felt small.. The bedroom was OK, although the closet space is meant for one person. There is another larger closet in the entry way to the room. The shower is large, but who puts the shampoo etc at one end and the shower head at the other end. A little common sense would have gone a long way in the layout and design of the room. And finally the gym, through Canyon Ranch is best in class. The valet parking is top notch. So, if access to a nice gym and valet parking is your thing, this is your spot, otherwise save your money and book someplace else. read more
